Chapter 119 - Chapter 119: We’ve Received Player Feedback

Chapter 119: We've Received Player Feedback

Mei Terumi's gaze turned icy. She wanted nothing more than to bite to death that profit-obsessed Game Merchant.

She asked coldly, "One clan emblem costs almost as much as a Mangekyō Sharingan. What does it actually do?"

They had just emptied their coffers to buy silver-tier materials—and now this so-called clan emblem appeared.

Mei Terumi regretted everything. Had she known, she wouldn't have founded a clan at all. She would've waited until Dawn Clan was established, then coordinated a sneak attack with Sunagakure and Iwagakure to destroy their clan monument.

If no one could found a clan, then no one would need to waste reward points.

Standing within the barren clan territory, Ao read through the clan emblem information and explained, "There are only two clan emblems displayed in the database."

Mei also opened the clan menu and scrolled to the emblem descriptions.

Only two had been revealed so far.

The first was palm-sized, a bright azure blue, shaped like a perfect snowflake.

"Clan emblems are divided into combat and support types."

"This one's called [Frost Soul Emblem], a combat-type. It can be socketed into the clan monument and, once activated, consumes reward points per minute to grant all clan members +10 ice-element attack."

"All clan members?"

Mei's emerald eyes sparkled with disbelief. "It grants a full 10 points of ice-element attack boost?"

Ao nodded. "Yes. That's what the description says. The Game Merchant may love reward points, but his exchange items are honest. We've never had a faulty product yet."

Ten points of elemental attack!

Mei took a deep breath. Her delicate white hand pressed against her chest to calm her pounding heart.

A full set of attribute-enhancing armor, even at Level 15 green-grade, would only provide a +10 bonus to a single elemental attack type.

She had tried wearing such gear before—her kunai would even become laced with elemental energy, and her skill damage had significantly increased. The higher the stat, the more pronounced the boost.

Once calm, she asked, "Ao, how much does a full green-grade elemental set cost?"

Ao thought for a moment. "Merchant players sell full sets at around 4,000 reward points. Some solo players offer cheaper prices, but only sell individual pieces, not full sets."

Lately, the mass-clearing of Soulcamp had flooded the market with blue and green equipment, causing prices to dip slightly. Otherwise, it would be even more expensive.

Mei's suppressed emotion surged again.

She exclaimed, "That good of a deal?!"

Two hundred Kirigakure clan members would receive +10 ice-element attack—equivalent to two hundred full sets of green gear. That was a ridiculous value!

And the clan emblem only cost 100,000 reward points? It wasn't just worth it—it was practically a freebie.

It even made Mei feel like she'd gotten revenge for being overcharged on silver hearts earlier.

"How many reward points do we still have in storage?"

"Eighty thousand."

Mei hesitated for a moment, then said, "We just seized two industries on the Fire Nation's border. Get them prepared. If we don't win the special reward in three days, we'll buy a random clan emblem ourselves."

"Lady Mizukage…"

Ao gently reminded, "Clan emblems are highly randomized. Combat types alone include physical attack, energy attack, physical defense, energy defense, movement speed, casting speed…"

"Getting the one we want is not easy."

Most Kirigakure players were Water-natured ninja or civilians from the Land of Water. Their playstyle leaned heavily toward energy-based and water-element attacks—many were mage-type classes.

If they got a physical-attack-boosting emblem, it would be a total waste of 100,000 reward points.

"And that's not all…"

Ao sighed and continued, "There are also support-type emblems. Like ones that boost tailoring skill success rates for cloth armor. Or ones that improve energy potion crafting success—or even mutation chances."

Mei's excitement collapsed.

Then her eyes locked onto the Game Merchant's announcement in the chat.

The special reward had a (Fixed) tag—meaning the winner could pick their emblem effect, not roll it like a loot box.

Mei clutched her head in regret. "Whoever gets that bonus will be earning hundreds of thousands of reward points. Damn it…"

At this point, there was no way to gather enough silver hearts to surpass Dawn Clan.

Would she really have to just watch them walk off with the prize?

Of course not.

On the other side of the screen,

Fang Yi watched Konan's confident expression and Mei's bitter one.

He also noted how Sunagakure and the Hot Water Konoha factions remained on standby.

Wasn't the whole point of games… competition?

How could he allow a situation where players had nothing to strive for? Where they had reward points but nowhere to spend them?

Seeing the frustration on these top-tier players' faces, Fang Yi made a decision.

It was his duty, as the game's developer, to protect their smiles.

Two seconds later—

the Game Merchant posted a special announcement:

[Game Merchant]: In response to recent player feedback regarding the low drop rate and high demand for the silver-tier material [Sarina's Heart], the [Soulcamp] dungeon has been slightly modified.

Hell difficulty drop rates remain unchanged.

In Adventure and Heroic difficulty, new materials have been added:

[Sarina's Heart (Purple)], [Sarina's Heart (Blue)], and [Heart Adhesive].

Using [Heart Adhesive], players can combine lower-tier Sarina's Hearts into higher-quality ones.

Who gave feedback?!

Nonsense! We at Dawn Clan never said a word!

Now secure in their lead, the Dawn Clan felt a deep sense of betrayal from the game itself.

Even the Merchant Alliance, who had five silver hearts left in reserve, immediately started offloading them.

And just half an hour later—one announcement after another shook the server:

[Game Merchant]: Congratulations to player [Sunagakure Elder] for founding the Sunagakure Clan.

[Game Merchant]: Congratulations to player [Yellow Earth] for founding the Iwagakure Clan.

[Game Merchant]: Congratulations to player [Heir of the Will of Fire] for founding the Konoha Clan.

[Game Merchant]: Congratulations to player [White-Scaled Serpent] for founding the Konoha Empire Clan.

The barrage of announcements sent a ripple through the entire playerbase.

Before, weaker or less wealthy factions had been hesitant.

But seeing the tide turn, they acted without hesitation.

Did they not want to found a clan and fight for the special reward?

Of course they did.

Creating a clan allowed them to rally players.

The earlier they formed one, the greater their recruitment potential. Delaying had been an act of desperation, not choice.

Why else had no one been willing to sell silver hearts earlier—even when offered 40,000 reward points?

Because deep down, they all wanted in.

...

Sunagakure, Wind Kage Tower.

The statues of previous Kazekage stood cold and solemn in the center of the council chamber.

Resurrected from death, Rasa's expression was a mix of fear and fury.

As the Fourth Kazekage, he had been assassinated by Orochimaru—robbing Sunagakure of any advantage during the Konoha Collapse Plan.

"Gaara."

His voice suddenly cut through the silence.

He looked up, his gaze complicated as it landed on Gaara, who sat silently at the far end of the chamber.

The One-Tails jinchūriki of Sunagakure. His own son.

The one who had used a Resurrection Coin to bring him back to life.

"Lord Kazekage."

Gaara's face was emotionless, like a living puppet.

But Rasa saw it—hatred and fear flickering in his son's eyes.

Not the gaze of a son toward his father, nor a subordinate toward a superior.

But of an enemy toward the man who had once tried to kill him.

Rasa sighed.

Then stood up and spoke gravely: "Gaara—the One-Tails jinchūriki—was deemed a failure by me, the Fourth Kazekage, for being too emotionally fragile to withstand the mental pressure of Shukaku. As a child, he frequently lost control and went berserk. I ruled him a complete failure."
