Chapter 224 - Chapter 224: Intelligence from the Ninja World?

Chapter 224: Intelligence from the Ninja World?

This wasn't what he expected.

Weren't these lowly humans supposed to cower in fear, flee in panic under the pressure of his Fear Aura?

Death Scythe!

Seeing that things hadn't gone as planned,

the Soul Reaper's cold eyes flickered with frustration.

He raised his right arm, and a massive scythe of death took form in the sky, exuding a chilling aura.

Gripping the spectral weapon from afar, the Corrupted Lord displayed the terrifying majesty of an underworld commander.

And yet—

instead of retreating, the players surged forward, madly hacking through wraiths in an attempt to get closer to the Soul Reaper's palace.

"What overwhelming pressure!"

"As expected, each time a Corrupted Lord revives, their power skyrockets. One swing of that scythe could probably wipe out half the players on Death Island!"

"So what if he's strong? He's still getting taken down!"

"Don't let him spread that dark mist again! The more it spreads, the longer his revival time will be next time!"

The players' eyes gleamed with excitement, eager for battle.

On the Soul Reaper's body was a shoulder piece—the [Wraith Spaulder]—rated purple by the game system.

Its set bonus was extraordinary. If collected in full, the wearer could rival the strongest elites of the pirate world.

Not even the Revolutionary leader,

hailed by Morgans' World News as the "new strongest creature," surpassing even Kaido,

had a full purple set.

Marine Headquarters.

Fleet Admiral Sengoku sat in the central seat.

The seats on either side were mostly empty, scattered with a few loyal officers.

Most of the vice admirals who leaned toward the World Government had been sidelined or half-confined under various pretexts.

Sengoku wasn't just a leader—he was a tactician.

And once he made up his mind, his ruthlessness could even surpass Sakazuki's.

Everyone present was unwaveringly loyal to Marine Headquarters.

No matter what happened—even if they had to turn their blades on the World Government—they would not hesitate.

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku, based on analysis from the Game Intelligence Division, the Soul Reaper Set is of incalculable value!"

A scholarly Marine clerk entered the meeting room with a thick stack of reports.

The Game Intelligence Division was a new department founded by Sengoku.

Its purpose: to research all information and data related to the Reincarnation Game. Its head: Vice Admiral Tsuru.

"Purple gear is indeed rare,"

Sengoku replied neutrally.

But one piece of purple gear wasn't enough to catch his attention. Unless the whole set was obtainable, it wasn't worth the effort.

With competition from the Revolutionary Army and the Yonko, completing a set would be a Herculean task.

That's why his attention was focused on other drops—

he had no intention of fighting for the Soul Reaper Set.

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku!"

The clerk, seeing Sengoku's disinterest, urgently waved his hands.

"This isn't an ordinary purple set!"

Most purple equipment,

like Smoker's [Toxic Cat King Claws], simply provided powerful combat boosts. And that was it.

But the Soul Reaper's set had a special trait:

If a player equipped the entire [Soul Reaper Set] while in a Corrupted Lord's domain,

they would gain a significant advantage.

Most likely because wearing the full set would activate a special trait known as—

[Lord Skill].

"Lord Skill?"

That caught Sengoku off guard. He immediately asked where the intel came from.

"The source is Vice Admiral Jonathan from Marine Fortress G-8. He didn't give the full details, only said it came from another world."

"Another world?"

"Yes. According to Vice Admiral Jonathan, this world—like ours—was chosen by the Game Merchant,

and it's entirely populated by ninja organizations similar to Wano's shinobi clans."

"Ninja?"

Sengoku felt a headache coming on.

The Revolutionary Army and Yonko were already enough trouble. Now there was a ninja world—possibly hostile, possibly not?

"You didn't press for more details?"

"No, sir. He only mentioned that the ninja world's game development is far ahead of ours.

They've already started exploring the 'New World' stage…"

Sengoku's face darkened. "So you're saying Vice Admiral Jonathan intercepted cross-world intel, and that the Soul Reaper Set has massive implications?"

"Yes, sir."

"In that case, prioritize the Soul Reaper gear alongside the family token at the highest level."

Sengoku rubbed his temples, clearly worn out.

Vice Admiral Jonathan didn't want to share everything, only part of it—

a clear sign he was hedging his bets.

Several well-equipped Marine bases were behaving the same way:

If Marine HQ gained the upper hand, they'd stay loyal.

But if the World Government pulled ahead, they'd switch sides.

They were playing both ends.

Sengoku clenched his fist and slammed it on the table, gritting his teeth.

"Fine. Jonathan… Watch closely. I'll make sure Marine Headquarters enters a new golden age under my command!"

"Who would've thought…"

Inside the Game Shop.

Fang Yi lay back in his rocking chair behind the counter, eyes glowing with interest.

Through layers of dimensional space, his gaze landed on Vice Admiral Jonathan at Marine Fortress G-8.

[Dimensional Walker]—

a subclass of mages obsessed with researching beings from other dimensions.

They regularly opened portals and summoned these creatures to study them.

Occasionally, one would make contact with humans from other worlds—just like Jonathan had.

And Jonathan was lucky.

Cross-world communication was always risky.

Weak channels were often destroyed immediately by the other side to avoid exposure. But this time…

Jonathan's dimensional beacon had landed in the Land of Rain,

where it was picked up by Yahiko, who had been revived and now co-led the outer circle of the Akatsuki with Konan.

In a world as cold and dark as the Shinobi Realm,

Yahiko was a rare warmth—like sunlight. Strong-willed and determined,

he rejected the blood-soaked rules of the old world and pursued peace.

And so—

intel that would've normally cost a fortune was shared with surprising gentleness and goodwill.

"Yahiko…"

Fang Yi's mind quickly pulled up this player's file.

No special bloodline.

Minimal origin energy.

Not favored by the Shinobi World's consciousness like Naruto or Nagato.

Without the Game, he'd have been, at best, an average Kage-level ninja.

"Bloodlines, skills, reward points—everything can be obtained through the Reincarnation Game."

Fang Yi ruffled the white-haired loli's hair beside him and said,

"If anyone in the Shinobi World can truly change history—

it's not Hashirama with his pet Nine-Tails, nor Madara who could wipe out nations with a single jutsu."

"In the future, even Naruto and Sasuke—beloved sons of fate—will fail."

Even if Indra and Asura's reincarnations defeated Kaguya,

nothing would change.

As soon as Naruto and Sasuke died, the cycle would repeat—just like it had after Hashirama's death.

"To end the endless wars,

the world needs a revolutionary leader—someone who can tear down the old rules."

"Yahiko has that kind of will."
