Chapter 227 - Chapter 227: Sengoku: Gentlemen, Let Us Show the World Our Justice!

Chapter 227: Sengoku: Gentlemen, Let Us Show the World Our Justice!

The ground was covered in loot, glowing brightly.

Smoker, well prepared, immediately seized the most eye-catching drop—a complete family token—and the [Wraith Spaulder] from the Lord's set.

The remaining reward points and fragments of rule-type items were quickly snatched up by the other players who had just regained their senses.

"Family token fragment!"

Whitebeard held a token fragment in his hand that emitted a faint white glow, palm-sized.

The game prompt stated that five fragments could be fused into a complete family token.

"There's even a resurrection coin fragment?"

Red-Haired Shanks was momentarily stunned as he looked at the item he had just grabbed—

a broken golden coin, clearly only one-fourth of a full circle. Four of these would make a complete resurrection coin.

"To think… even the dead can be brought back."

Shanks let out a long breath. He had always known the Reincarnation Game could revive lives,

but hearing it and holding a resurrection coin fragment in his hand were two entirely different experiences.

"Damn it, not enough hunting contribution!"

Doflamingo, having acted on Smoker's warning and lunged for drops as well, only managed to grab a [Comprehension Pill] and some scattered reward points.

The full family token and gear had gone to the Navy thanks to the Apollo Bomb's overwhelming damage contribution.

"Selling off Marine Headquarters just to hunt a single Corrupted Lord… what a foolish move, Lord Strategist Sengoku."

First enraged, then sneering,

Doflamingo mocked.

Marine Headquarters was worth far more than Dressrosa. If managed well, it was a golden goose that laid eggs endlessly.

Sengoku's move was nothing less than killing the goose for one egg.

A family token was valuable, yes, but more Corrupted Lords would appear in the future. Couldn't he even wait that long?

"It was the Navy. They detonated some kind of bomb!"

"Bastards! I was just about to land the final hit and net 2,000 reward points."

"I even picked up a resurrection coin fragment, but my contribution wasn't high enough, and Red-Haired Shanks stole it. All the Navy's fault!"

As players gradually recovered,

they finally realized what had happened—and outrage exploded. Cries against the Navy came from all sides.

Marineford.

Sengoku's expression was calm.

He didn't react to Smoker's acquisition of the family token and instead continued calmly deploying the next stage of the plan.

"The scale of victory will inevitably tip in the Navy's favor."

His voice was low,

but lacked neither strength nor resolve. It was as if he had returned to the days when he was just a fresh recruit, filled with dreams of changing the world.

The reward points gained from selling Marine Headquarters were now almost entirely depleted.

And not just on the Apollo Bomb—

Fleet Admiral Sengoku had gone all in.

A vice admiral, clearly nervous, finally spoke: "Fleet Admiral Sengoku… isn't this a bit too risky? If your judgment is wrong, the losses will be catastrophic!"

He had never imagined the usually cautious Sengoku would propose something this radical.

Was this skirting the Reincarnation Game's system?

"Based on my analysis, as long as it aligns with the game's operating logic, the Game Merchant won't care."

Sengoku's expression was stern.

"To break free from chains that have bound us for centuries, extreme measures must be taken.

If we don't even have the courage to defy convention, we might as well keep kneeling to the World Government."

"We're growing stronger to uphold our true justice. Breaking the shackles of the World Government is inevitable!"

He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and suddenly opened them—sharp as ever.

"Begin the plan!"

"Show all our enemies the Navy's might—and let the world witness the true justice of Marine Headquarters!"

The world was changing.

The once-stable World Government was beginning to fracture.

Now was the time to rebel against a predetermined fate.

All the vice admirals in the room stood up.

With Marines slaughtered,

Garp and Smoker defeated by the Revolutionary leader, Kizaru captured,

naval bases sold off, and the World Government indifferent or even sabotaging them…

The Navy was already at rock bottom, on the verge of becoming a global laughingstock.

Now was the time to rise.

Facing the greedy, watching eyes of countless players,

Navy players—seemingly under prior orders—led by Smoker and Garp, simultaneously pulled something from their inventory.

[Attribute Converter (Inferior)]: Alters the magical energy within a small area.

A tech-magic hybrid device, typically used in laboratories.

Click.

Thousands of converters activated at once,

releasing dim glows like countless fireflies—all tinted gray-black, mimicking the Corrupted Lord's aura.

Then,

Smoker pulled out an item he had spent half a naval base's worth of resources to buy.

[Damaged Dragon Crystal (Poison)]: The remaining essence from a deceased poison-element dragon.

Compared to the dragon crystal Whitebeard had seen before in the Game Shop,

though also incomplete, this one was much larger.

"Begin."

The other players hadn't caught on yet. They stared blankly at the Navy's coordinated movements.

The dragon crystal released a terrifying draconic aura that engulfed all of Death Island.

Those caught in its range were instantly afflicted.

[Dragon Poison]: You have been infected by poison dragon essence. Lose 50 HP per second.

"What the hell?"

"Is the Navy trying to wipe everyone out? But we can all revive on Death Island. What's the point?"

"Something's off. They must have a scheme."

"No kidding! But what are they trying to do?"

Panic spread among the independent players.

The Corrupted Lord was already dead—there was no reason to linger. If the Navy's poison killed them now, it would just waste revival resources.

"Dragon… isn't the Revolutionary Army going to retreat?"

Ivankov erected a massive Holy Light Barrier to shield the army.

But…

The energy from the dragon crystal was too strong.

It corroded the barrier rapidly, draining Ivankov's energy at a shocking rate.

"Wait a little longer…"

Dragon shook his head after a pause.

Even though the Navy had been humiliated during the rebellion of nobles and pirates,

he had never dared underestimate Marine Headquarters.

They had more top-tier combatants than any other force on the seas. One misstep could endanger the Revolutionary Army's future.

"To think they'd go this far?"

Shanks suddenly understood something—and his expression changed.

He looked across the East Blue,

as though he could see all the way to Marineford and into Sengoku's heart.

There was a sense of mutual respect.

Back then,

he had already reached the top of the pirate world—yet had willingly sacrificed an arm to bet on the new era.

Now,

Sengoku was making a similar bet.

In the midst of a global upheaval,

he had given up trying to consolidate the Navy or hide under the World Government.

He was gambling everything… on the Reincarnation Game.
