Chapter 267: A New World, Man-Eating Ghouls and Demonic Beasts?

Knowing they were about to leave the One Piece world,

Afu had been madly tasting all kinds of delicacies. Fortunately, being a world consciousness, she could convert the consumed food directly into small amounts of reward points—otherwise, she would've already ballooned into a ball.

"The Naruto world is in a very delicate state right now."

Fang Yi casually sensed the situation and instantly grasped all the changes that had occurred in the Naruto world during his absence.

He said, "The conflicts over resources in reality, and the clashes between players in-game, have escalated to the point where they can no longer be resolved peacefully."

"Soon, at least one faction won't be able to sit still."

"They'll want to strike in reality, to eliminate their enemies in one decisive blow."

Right now, the power structure in the Naruto world looked something like this:

The strongest was the [Empire of Fire], led by Orochimaru and the former Hyuga Branch House, now ruled by the current head Hyuga Neji.

Next came the Four Great Ninja Villages.

Then, a rising power: [Dawn], a player army led by Yahiko and Konan, loosely allied with Nagato's Akatsuki.

While their ideals differed, the two sides would aid one another in times of crisis.

Finally, smaller factions like the Land of Snow and Star Village, akin to the scattered noble groups in the One Piece world or Buggy's [Desert Circus] guild.

Among these,

the most powerful base was [New Konoha], built atop the ruins of the original Konoha.

It had relatively few players, but all elite: Tsunade, Jiraiya, Naruto Uzumaki, Asuma Sarutobi, Sasuke Uchiha—all top-tier.

Originally, New Konoha would have been considered on par with the Four Great Villages.

But due to ideological rifts and internal strife, it had split into two sub-factions: [East Konoha], led by Hiruzen Sarutobi and the major clans; and [West Konoha], led by Asuma Sarutobi.

The two supported and restrained each other simultaneously.

They couldn't unite for battle, so their overall power had plummeted.

"Just one spark is all it would take for war to erupt in the ninja world."

Fang Yi shook his head slightly and said, "I've already gathered most of the source energy from both the Naruto and One Piece worlds. The overall player strength is enough to serve as the foundation for our counterattack against the Corruption World."

"It's time to open a new world."

Most of the promising players in both worlds had already been collected. Now it was time to expand the game's domain again.

Fang Yi's current reward point balance: 500 million.

If not for maintaining the operation of the Reincarnation Space and the energy needed to nurture players, that number would be even higher.

But as Fang Yi himself said:

No matter how much source energy you collect, it's meaningless—

Just like those fools who clung to it and got devoured by the Corruption World.

What he needed were players who could fight.

So Fang Yi didn't feel the least bit stingy.

Afu asked, "Are you going to look for stronger worlds?"

Stronger worlds meant stronger players.

Which meant the ability to hunt even more powerful Corruption Monsters.

Fang Yi shook his head. "There's no need to force it. With enough source energy, we can cultivate endless Tier 2 and Tier 3 top-tier players in an instant—it's not that meaningful."

In the Reincarnation Game,

raw power was secondary.

The most important factor, and the one most players overlooked, was willpower.

As long as someone had a strong will, they had infinite potential to grow stronger.

Even in a weak "urban world" like [Four Courtyards], a player with strong enough conviction could become one of Fang Yi's chosen.

"So then, let fate decide."

He summoned a Fate Rune etched with intricate patterns and casually tossed it into the void, letting it probe the unknown.

Moments later,

the Fate Rune trembled—it had found two new worlds, located very close together.

"Already?"

Sensing that the Fate Rune had merged with the two new worlds,

Fang Yi willed his consciousness forward to examine them.

Both worlds contained special powers, but among all the [Tier 1] worlds, they weren't considered particularly powerful.

If One Piece and Naruto were the peak of Tier 1 worlds—capable of producing Tier 1 peak players like Hashirama or Imu—

these two were only mid-tier at best.

Their strongest fighters would probably be Admiral-level at most.

Fang Yi immersed his mind and began to review the two worlds.

Boom.

In the first world, the clear blue sky suddenly tore open.

A golden eye—infused with the Fate Rune—appeared within the rift, radiating divine light.

Its indescribable aura blanketed the entire world.

With his current strength,

even if every single player in the One Piece and Naruto worlds teamed up, they couldn't defeat Fang Yi.

There was no need to conceal anything.

The flow of fate surged within his eye, piercing the world's past and future.

No life in that realm could withstand his gaze.

"Interesting."

Fang Yi's expression turned intrigued. He murmured, "This world has a massive continent, and a huge island barely large enough to be called land."

"But all the source energy is concentrated on that narrow island?"

He quickly discovered the reason.

On the continent, two powerful nations were at war.

One was highly advanced in biotechnology.

The other produced elite warriors—descendants of dragons—through unique bloodlines.

The biotech nation, bent on destroying the other, began capturing its enemies and sending their mutilated bodies to the island for experiments.

Their goal: to infuse normal humans with the "dragon descendants'" blood and flesh to create their own super soldiers.

But the results were disastrous.

Ordinary humans couldn't handle the fusion and would transform into [Yoma]—monsters driven by a craving for human flesh.

As the technology advanced,

the scientists created special warriors who could fuse with Yoma flesh while retaining their minds.

These warriors were graceful, beautiful women with silver eyes, clad in silver armor and white cloaks, each wielding a massive sword.

The world called them: Silver-Eyed Witches—the Claymores.

Thus was born the organization known as [Claymore].

They mass-produced Yoma and then deployed Claymores to kill them, collecting bounties from terrified civilians—

all while continuing their gruesome research, again and again.

A world trapped in chaos.

A world where death by Yoma was a constant threat.

Where the will to survive, the desire to eliminate monsters, and the torment of being part-Yoma created a concentrated nexus of suffering and willpower.

And so, most of the world's source energy was drawn to that small island.

A tragedy crafted by the darkness in humanity's heart.

The continent's rulers thought that by confining the experiments to an island,

even the worst outbreaks wouldn't threaten their lives.

But it wouldn't last.

Soon the island would fall completely, birthing monsters capable of crossing the sea and consuming the continent.

A dying world, devoid of hope.
