Chapter 6 - -- Chapter 6: The first step into the cultivation world

Yes, they finally left the village. Congrats.]

A total of 46 people were taken from that poor excuse of a village.

— 33 got the honorable job of becoming servants (aka professional grass-pullers).

— 13 were chosen as potential disciples.

And yes, Yan Wao was one of them.

[Surprised? So was the universe.]

Out of those 13:

9 had spiritual roots so trash, even weeds looked more spiritual.

3 had mid-tier roots (respectable).

And one… just one... had a high-grade spiritual root.

Naturally, everyone expected him to be a stuck-up, young-master-type character.

But nah, this guy sat next to Yan Wao and casually dropped:

> "You smell like rice and dirt… but I like your vibe."

[Unexpected friendship unlocked.]

Scene: Flying to the Sect

They were riding a giant beast — wings flapping like it hated its job.

The world below was a blur of mountains and forests.

Yan Wao sat quietly, hood up, probably thinking about noodles or nothing.

That high-root guy looked over.

> "Name's Han Yu."

> "Yan Wao," he mumbled back.

> "You from that village?"

> "Nope. Just crashed there. Got nothing left."

> "Same, but I got two silver coins. If I become a real disciple, I'll give you one. That makes us even."

> "...That's not how math works."

> "Exactly. That's why it's spiritual math."

[Bro is weird. I like him.]

⛰️ Crimson Moon Sect Gates

They finally arrived.

The sect looked like a floating palace built by rich immortals with too much free time.

A loud elder yelled:

> "Potential disciples! Line up! The test begins shortly!"

Yan Wao stood next to Han Yu.

> "Are you nervous?" Han Yu asked.

> "No."

> "Liar."

Yan Wao smirked. (Character development alert.)

The elder's voice boomed again:

> "Those selected must now pass the Heavenly Formality Test!

Only then will you be allowed to cultivate within Crimson Moon Sect!"

Han Yu leaned over.

> "What if I explode?"

> "Then I'm taking your silver coin."

END CHAPTER.
