Mahira was discharged from the hospital and Kaashvi watched as Adamsen took her away. How she wanted to break Adamsen's bone's but for Mahira's sake she didn't. Adamsen took care of Mahira. He took her out on multiple date's and allowed her to sleep on his lap whenever she had nightmares. He taught her how to balance her work life and personal life. She went for therapy sessions once in a week. Adamsen usually did all the cooking most of the time. Slowly she regained her strength but her mental health took a little time. It was now the 20th of August, Mahira's birthday.
Adamsen," Hey hottie did you sleep well?"
Mahira smiled.
" Ooh.. it's still early and you're flirting. Of course I slept well, with a good friend like you im bound to be alright. "
Adamsen," Happy birthday hottie."
Mahira," Thanks. I need to go to the office for today. I have a huge deal coming up so..."
Adamsen kisses her cheek and bids her goodbye. Mahira drove to her company. Her employees wished her a happy birthday and most of them gave her gift's.
Rachel," Mahi... you are finally 29 years old. Next year you will be 30 years old. The young entrepreneur, CEO and business woman."
Mahira," are you making fun of my age in riddles huh. Guy's thank you so much for not letting this company fail. Thank you so much. You never abondoned this company."
Employee 1," That's no way to say thank you to people who have stood by your company for years you know. You should atleast take us out."
Employee 2," Yes. You are a multi billionaire so ... you don't mind spending a few Euro's."
Mahira smiled at them.
" Well, attending Mahira Thane Carson's... I mean Mahira Riley's private parties costs a lot like more than millions so... tonight you can all attend my party. No tickets just attend okay."
With that Mahira left for her office floor. She knocked of early that day. No one was left in the office because they had all gone to prepare for the party. She went home that night and there were so many guest's. She quickly went upstairs and took a quick shower. She wore a gorgeous lehenga that was a rare piece. As usual she did not apply makeup just simple lipstick to match the dress but she was still beautiful. Her dusty pink lehenga was very heavy.
The event went so well. Speeches were exchanged. There were dance offs as well. A few movies were watched before dinner. Adamsen had a surprise for her. During dinner he called her to the stage. He kneeled down and let out a box with a unique ring.
Adamsen," Mahira Riley.. I have adored you ever since we dated in primary.. could you make me the happiest man on earth and become Mrs Mahira Lorenzo Mendez."
Mahira looked at him with surprise. Everyone kept urging her to say yes but she didn't want to. As she looked into the crowd she saw Thane holding a gift box and there were tear's in his eyes. Tear's that were being forced to stay in. He just smiled to avoid the pain but she knew he was hurt.
Thane turned away to leave and something made Mahira to follow him. She left Adamsen kneeling on the stage and ran after Thane.
Mahira," Thane.... Thane.... Thane... please stop... don't go.. please.."
Thane stopped outside the house at her behest. Her heavy dress was slowing her down but she managed to catch up.
Mahira," hi...hi...hi."
Thane," You are happy with your new life. Im glad you found happiness. Go and enjoy it."
Mahira," I... I don't really know what you are to me. I don't remember a lot of things but whenever I see you I think my heart knows you despite my mind not knowing you. Who are you? Why did you treat me so badly in the past?"
Thane," you only remember the pain I've caused you? You don't remember the love we shared?"
Mahira," is it in your nature to hurt the people you love. Adamsen said it's your fault I nearly died. He said it's not love it's madness."
Thane,"So you have found new love mmh. Love that won't hurt you."
Mahira," Why did you torture me? Did I do you wrong? Why do you hate me so much? Your son's why do they hate me? Why does everyone in your family hate me? Why did you all hurt me? Did I deserve it?"
Thane,"I was wrong but my love for you is not wrong. Look at me...look into my eyes. Listen to your heart. Mahi m...my Mahira...try and remember the good."
Mahira closed her eyes in an attempt to remember but only the bad memories came. She held her head because it started aching and the pain was excruciating. Thane held her and pulled her closer his arm's wrapped around her waist. She looked into his eyes and she had tear's in her eye's that she was trying to hold back.
Mahira," Why? Why did you hurt me?"
Thane," because I love you."
With that he kissed her gently. Mahira's grip on his shoulder's increased. She wanted to pull away from the kiss but it made her feel safe. She felt safe in his arms but those dreadful memories made her uneasy in his embrace. In the middle of the kiss, Thane felt a cold metal on his neck.
Adamsen," don't move!"
One of Adamsen's guard's grabbed Mahira away from Mahira's embrace. Adamsen pointed his gun still close to Thane's neck.
Adamsen," What the fuck are you doing here?"
Thane," It's Mahira's birthday. I wanted to see her. Do you have a problem?"
Adamsen," Yes. If I see you near Mahira ever again. I'll gladly blow out your brains, you hear me. "
Thane," I'm not scared of you."
Mahira," Adam.. what are you doing? You are ...not a killer..."
Adamsen," beat him up .... don't kill him just make sure he's hospitalized."
Mahira," what... that's... Mmh mmmh.."
Adamsen tapped her mouth and roughly carried her back to the house while Thane was beaten up by his men. Mahira struggled trying to break free from him until they reached a torture room in his layer. He tied her with chains.
Adamsen," what have I not given you bitch huh. I've been so nice to you and you are out there kissing that man! I'll teach you a lesson."
He took out a whip from one drawer and lashed her until she was unable to move. Her skin was open with scar's bleeding profusely.
