ADAMSEN'S POV
It hurt's watching Mahira love someone else. She doesn't say it but deep down she yearns for him. Well I guess I have to help her realize that. We were on a coffee date which she arranged.
Mahira," I'm so happy. Everything is finally going according to plan. Elena is in university, Angelo and Alexander are happy and Kaashvi is back in Korea. She is getting married in a few months to Leo and she's beaming with joy."
Adamsen," Hey.. everyone is happy but are you? Thane really loves you. I agree he hurt you but he's willing to atone for his mistakes."
Mahira," Adam... I can't be with him again. He's already hurt me. Im... scared he will do it again if a problem arises. What if he does is again when one problem comes up? "
Adamsen," In life you have to take risks. He's in the army he can die anytime on duty. You should give him a chance because....."
Mahira's phone rang. It was sergeant Robert.
Mahira," Hello sergeant. To what do I owe your sudden call? What's up."
Sergeant Robert," Ms Riley...we have bad news. Commander Carson's plane was bombed and he has been admitted to the hospital. He might not make it so he wants to speak to you."
Mahira," what?!!"
Sergeant Robert," I'll send you a location... you should come to the hospital as soon as possible."
Mahira go to her car immediately after receiving the location. It was a huge hospital and finding his room took a while. When she got to the floor Thane was in there were other soldiers who were injured. Their clothes had blood all over.
Mahira," sergeant...where is Thane?"
Sergeant Robert," the aircraft he was in was bombed. By luck his body was found but his survival is uncertain."
Mahira went into Thane's room. So many machines were attached to him and he was bleeding all over almost unrecognizable. I sat beside him and his condition killed me.
Thane simply smiled in pain," Mahi...Ma... Mahi... I love you.... I love yo.... you...so... much...if I...die... today... I want you to know that... I love you... I... will always love... you..."
After saying that he didn't even give Mahira a chance to speak and he closed his eyes.
Mahira," Th... Thane... Thane wake up.. what are you doing Thane...wake up right now...do you think you are funny... Thane wake up for goodness sake... Thane stop being selfish... Thane... please wake up please... I can't live without you Wake up darn it... I said wake up."
Mahira's voice was cranky as she screamed and begged Thane to wake up. Security had to be involved to force her out because she was fighting with everyone and shouting urging Thane to wake up. She ended up fainting.
Thane was operated on. His survival was uncertain. His face had scar's. Mahira woke up a few day's later when Thane's surgery was already done. As stubborn as she was she removed all the hospital machines and oxygen mask attached to her. She limped to where sergeant Robert was.
Sergeant Robert," You're finally awake."
Mahima," how is he?"
Sergeant Robert," he will die. He won't be able to survive he's going to die."
Mahira," if you say that again I'll cut your balls out and feed the crows! He's a fighter. He will live for me,his son's and his sister."
Sergeant Robert backed down .
Sergeant Roberts POV
This woman was really something else. No wonder Thane was in love with her. She had sweet looks but a badass attitude. She was quite sexy too. I guess other people are lucky enough to have people like her in their life.
Doctor," we managed to save the patient. He's out of danger. He is very lucky to have survived you know. His skin though is in a bad condition. He was burned so badly so for about a year you will have to keep him bandaged."
Mahira," thank you so much doctor. Thanks for saving him thank you doctor."
Mahira was so relieved. She was impatient as well. She immediately got inside the Thane's room and sat besides him.
End of sergeant Roberts POV
MAHIRA'S POV
His condition was terrible. He's whole face was bandaged , only his eyes were visible. His leg was stitched and his upper body was just bandaged. I guess he wouldn't be able to speak to me. I sat next to him and held his hand. No one at home new about Thane's condition. I didn't tell the kid's I just left them with Adamsen. If I told them they would have stressed out.
I visited the hospital daily to see him. I lied to Adamsen and told him I was out of the country. I sometimes slept in the hospital. Being the only one who knew about his health only I could take care of him. I missed Kaashvi's wedding and she was angry at me. Week's turned to months and months to a year. Angelo and Alexander were angry when I missed their birthday. Neither of them wanted to speak to me but it's okay I was doing it for Thane. Soon enough he healed. His face looked knew but he had a huge scar on his back.
He was discharged from the hospital. He still had to use a wheelchair though. When we got home Angelo and Alexander finally understood why I missed so many celebration's.
Angelo," Daddy...did it hurt."
Thane," common champ... with your mom taking care of me I forgot the pain."
Alexander," don't misunderstand. Mommy hasn't forgiven you yet."
Thane," are you still angry with me champ."
Alexander," If mommy hasn't forgiven you then forget my forgiveness."
They had dinner made by Mahira that night and everyone went to sleep. Mahira pushed Thane's wheelchair to the room.
Thane," now that im a cripple... you won't stay with a crippled man or even look at him will you?"
Mahira," what are you trying to say?"
Thane,"Adamsen is young, handsome, rich and not crippled like me... so you are going to move on with him."
I couldn't believe my ear's. What kind of a question was that? Does he think I'll leave him only because he's crippled? I'll teach him a lesson.
Mahira," so what if I don't want to be with a crippled does it hurt. Let it hurt cause I don't want to spend my life with a cripple. Imagine Mahira Riley being seen with a cripple."
I instantly regretted saying that because I could see the hurt in his eyes.
Mahira," so....so..... sorry... I..."
Thane," don't be sorry... it's true. Enjoy Mahira Riley."
After saying that he went to bed. He struggled to get on the bed but he refused to accept my help. He fell asleep almost immediately. I couldn't resist the urge to kiss him. I kissed him in his sleep until I was satisfied. Somehow my heart desired him to be mine. All mine.
