Chapter 162: The Snow Empress Is Also One of the Four Divine Beasts

Boom!

Suddenly, an explosive sound erupted from within the Pope's Hall, followed by a massive surge of soul power that destroyed several walls.

"Who dares make trouble in my domain!"

Sensing it mentally, Qian Xunji showed a hint of confusion. "This aura is Xiaoxue's. What is that girl up to?"

Ah Yin activated her Blue Silver Domain, looking alarmed. "This is bad—Xiaoxue wants to kill the Snow Empress!"

Inside the quiet chamber, a frightening sword mark had sliced through part of the Pope's Hall. The Snow Empress clutched at her tattered long dress, glaring at Qian Renxue with utter hatred.

Qian Renxue had stormed over moments ago, livid, declaring that the Snow Empress was just a fox vixen who'd better not ruin her father's and mother's relationship—or she would kill her. Years ago, when Qian Xunji was involved with Tang Yuehua, Ah Yin had felt wounded for some time, and Qian Renxue had been the one to stay by her mother's side. Now, seeing the Snow Empress, whose beauty was so stunning that even she had to marvel, Qian Renxue couldn't help worrying. She feared her father might lose control like he had with Tang Yuehua, which would bring her mother sorrow. She absolutely couldn't allow that.

The Snow Empress, meanwhile, couldn't stand such insults. She hated Qian Xunji more than anything in the world and wanted nothing more than to tear him apart—how could she possibly be attracted to him? She naturally retorted that he was despicable and shameless. In response, Qian Renxue was enraged by such slander against her father and swung her sword to kill the Snow Empress then and there.

Fearing for her life, the Snow Empress unleashed her Limit Douluo-level spiritual power, desperately pressing down on Qian Renxue. Though Qian Renxue was no ordinary rank-80 Soul Sage—she possessed an Angelic Head Soul Bone and had been nurtured by countless treasures in Spirit Hall, reaching a spiritual level equivalent to a Title Douluo—the Snow Empress's sudden pressure still dealt her a painful headache, causing her sword's trajectory to veer off.

Even so, the holy sword carried searing flames. With her own soul power sealed by Angel God power, the Snow Empress couldn't form any protective barrier, so a third of her white dress was burned to ash. Because her body was originally formed from pure ice-element energy, her skin remained unharmed—fair as snow, smooth as jade, near-perfect. One entire slender leg and about a third of a rounded curve were now exposed to the open air, gleaming with reflected golden light from Qian Renxue's aura.

"Who cares if you're a Title Douluo—if you try to destroy Father and Mother's relationship, you must die!"

Qian Renxue showed no hesitation at all, regardless of the Snow Empress's powerful spiritual force. Title Douluo were plentiful in Spirit Hall, and in her heart, her parents' bond was far more important than any Title Douluo. She swung her holy sword a second time, this time with no sword energy but the blade aimed straight for the Snow Empress's forehead, preparing to split her in two.

At the critical moment, two fingertips appeared between the holy sword and the Snow Empress's brow—Qian Xunji had arrived right on cue to intervene.

"Xiaoxue, don't be rash. She's a collaborator that your grandfather and I captured."

Qian Xunji showed no intent to punish Qian Renxue. After all, the Snow Empress wasn't dead or badly hurt, and he knew how to draw a line between his own family and a soul beast with a grudge against Spirit Hall.

A flicker of doubt crossed Qian Renxue's face. She wasn't entirely convinced by his words.

"Xiaoxue, your father isn't lying. She's a soul beast your father captured."

"A soul beast… a hundred-thousand-year transformed soul beast!" Qian Renxue's eyes instantly lit up. "Father, did you bring her back for my eighth soul ring?"

Qian Xunji shook his head. "Didn't I say she's a collaborator your grandfather and I brought in? She's no ordinary hundred-thousand-year transformed soul beast—she's a six-hundred-thousand-year fierce beast. Her soul ring is also ice-attribute. Not only does that fail to match yours, but absorbing it would cause you to explode and die.

"As for your next soul ring, I've already prepared it. In time, it'll make its own way to Spirit Hall. Go back to the Hall of Worship and focus on your training. Don't disrupt my plans—and keep the Snow Empress's identity secret."

"All right…"

Still filled with questions, Qian Renxue headed back. Why would Father and Grandfather capture such a dangerous soul beast to collaborate with them? That a six-hundred-thousand-year soul beast even existed was inconceivable. In any case, at least now she knew this Snow Empress wouldn't threaten her parents' relationship: Father was human, and the Snow Empress was merely a soul beast.

In the short span of a minute, the Snow Empress felt her worldview—founded over countless millennia—shatter. She glared at Ah Yin with endless rage. This Blue Silver Grass had actually borne children with humans, murdering other soul beasts to obtain soul rings—simply a disgrace and traitor to the soul beast race!

"Ah Yin, take the Snow Empress to change clothes."

Hearing Qian Xunji's voice, the Snow Empress snapped back from her fury. She had just been beaten in quick succession by three generations of the Qian family, only to learn that Ah Yin—a transformed soul beast like her—had given birth to human children. Rage clouded her mind, and for a moment she forgot that a third of her dress had been burned away.

That meant this loathsome, despicable human—whom she hated more than anything—had seen her body! Her heart brimmed with humiliation and wrath, and she wanted nothing more than to self-destruct and take Qian Xunji with her. But she couldn't even do that. Overwhelmed by pain and anger, she passed out on the spot.

Slumping to the floor without an arm to brace her, the Snow Empress exposed even more of her skin. Initially only a third of it showed; now it was nearly half, faintly revealing a soft pink. Her long legs extended to her upper thighs, and it seemed there was nothing at all beneath.

Qian Xunji wasn't so indecent as to use spiritual power to peer through the gap of that remaining bit of fabric. Yet from what was currently visible, he could confirm that, just like Ah Yin, the Snow Empress was also one of the "four divine beasts."

Ah Yin hastily used her Blue Silver Grass vines to wrap the Snow Empress tightly, then shot Qian Xunji a reproachful look.

Heaven Dou Imperial Academy.

"Brother!"

"Xiao San!"

Flender, Zhao Wuji, Yu Xiaogang, the teachers of Shrek Academy, and the Shrek Six Devils were all present at Heaven Dou Imperial Academy.

"Xiao Wu!"

Having been apart for half a month, Xiao Wu rushed into Tang San's arms, showing how much she had missed him. Tang San gently stroked her hair, saying, "Dai-ge, I went to Blue Tyrant Academy looking for you all, but found you gone. I guessed you'd be here at Heaven Dou Imperial Academy."

"I'm not really sure what's going on—enrolling here turned out surprisingly easy, and that Snow Avalanche fellow never showed up to cause trouble. The teachers were more than happy to merge with Heaven Dou Imperial Academy. Now we can't leave, even if we wanted to."

Dai Mubai gave a wry smile, then moved closer to Tang San and asked quietly, "Xiao San, how did it go? Did you bring the immortal herbs?"

Oscar and Ma Hongjun also crowded in eagerly. Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong showed a bit more reserve, yet couldn't hide the intensity in their eyes.
