Chapter 51 - Chapter 51

Chapter 51 Starlight and City Lights Shining Together

On the bustling streets of Mong Kok, Lin Haoran and Guan Jiahui wandered hand in hand for more than ten minutes.

Eventually, true to his promise, he bought her a pair of the Roger Vivier shoes she had dreamed of.

Neither of them were celebrities.

They strolled the streets just like any ordinary young couple, unnoticed by others.

Meanwhile, Li Weiguo and Li Weidong dutifully followed behind, always on alert for any possible danger.

Soon, their footsteps traced the lively streets of Fa Yuen Street, Ladies' Market, and Sai Yeung Choi Street.

By this time, it was already approaching 8 PM.

"Anything else you'd like to do, beautiful lady?" Lin Haoran asked with a smile as they reached the end of Sai Yeung Choi Street, close to where they had parked.

"Haoran-ge, I want to see the night view of Victoria Harbour!" Guan Jiahui said, looking up at him with expectant eyes.

Without realizing it, she had changed the way she addressed him.

At that moment, Guan Jiahui felt incredibly happy.

She thought, in her seventeen years, tonight might be the happiest day of her life.

Unknowingly, she had developed indescribable feelings for Lin Haoran.

The night view of Victoria Harbour, huh?

Lin Haoran smiled and said, "Of course.

I'll take you to the best place to see it."

They got into the car, and Lin Haoran directed Li Weiguo to drive back toward Hengfeng Building.

Seated inside the softly moving vehicle, Guan Jiahui's delicate hand once again found Lin Haoran's left hand, tightly intertwining their fingers.

Lin Haoran inhaled subtly—

the fresh and captivating fragrance from her body quietly filled the confined space.

Guan Jiahui's heartbeat accelerated like a drum.

She was surprised at herself—

how could she develop such a strong affection for someone she had only met twice?

Why had she become so bold tonight?

This sudden rush of emotion made her feel both shy and sweetly restless.

As the car cruised through the dimly lit Cross-Harbour Tunnel,

under the soft glow of the interior lights,

Lin Haoran gently traced delicate circles in the palm of her hand.

The tender touch was like a breeze rippling across the surface of a lake,

stirring countless waves in Guan Jiahui's heart.

She nearly gasped aloud.

However, her rationality quickly pulled her back.

Realizing that Li Weiguo and Li Weidong were sitting in the front seats,

she understood that any slip would be deeply embarrassing.

She clenched her teeth and swallowed back her surging emotions,

although her cheeks still flushed a delicate pink.

Lin Haoran, of course, noticed her subtle reaction.

He smiled secretly, realizing that at this moment,

Guan Jiahui was like a defenseless little lamb before him—pure, tender, and incredibly endearing.

Such a rare opportunity was not something he would let slip easily.

Soon, they arrived at Hengfeng Building and parked in the garage.

"Weiguo, Weidong, after you drop us off at the office entrance, you don't need to come inside.

Stay at the Tai Wah Hotel next door tonight.

I'll find you tomorrow," Lin Haoran whispered to them after Guan Jiahui got out of the car and closed the door.

Given the tight security at Hengfeng Building, with guards patrolling every floor,

it was exceptionally safe.

"Understood, boss," both replied.

They were not fools; they understood perfectly that tonight was not the time to disturb the boss.

Only after seeing his two bodyguards drive off did Lin Haoran step out of the car and meet Guan Jiahui.

"Haoran-ge, where are we going now?" she asked curiously, glancing around the spacious underground garage.

Before entering the building,

she had caught glimpses of the towering skyscraper through the car window.

"You wanted to see Victoria Harbour's sparkling night view, right?

I'll take you upstairs to enjoy it from high above," Lin Haoran smiled.

Guan Jiahui's eyes immediately lit up,

her excitement clear.

Taking the elevator to the 19th floor,

Li Weiguo and Li Weidong watched Lin Haoran open the office door before leaving.

Entering the office, Guan Jiahui looked around and quickly realized it was a company space.

But soon, her eyes were drawn irresistibly to the massive floor-to-ceiling glass window at the far end.

It was like a giant gemstone embedded in the wall,

offering an unfiltered view of the magnificent harbor scenery outside.

Through the window, Victoria Harbour's beauty was laid bare—

glittering lights reflected on the water,

the scene breathtakingly enchanting like a living masterpiece.

"Wow, it's so beautiful.

I never thought standing at such a height to overlook Hong Kong would feel so soul-stirring," Guan Jiahui gasped.

Lin Haoran slowly walked up beside her,

a gentle smile curving his lips as he admired the spectacular view.

"Thank you, Haoran-ge," Guan Jiahui suddenly said after a moment of silence, turning toward him.

"Silly girl, no need to say that between us," Lin Haoran laughed softly.

At that moment,

the dazzling city lights and the starlight blended together,

wrapping them in a dreamy, romantic atmosphere.

Their eyes met, and for an instant, it felt as if the whole world stood still.

Driven by an irresistible force,

they slowly leaned closer until their lips touched—

a deep, lingering kiss full of emotion and tenderness.

The kiss lasted long,

as if it transcended the boundaries of time.

It wasn't until Guan Jiahui felt slightly breathless that she reluctantly pulled away,

her eyes still filled with lingering affection.

"So embarrassing..."

Guan Jiahui buried her blushing face deep into Lin Haoran's chest,

hiding from both her own flustered emotions and his gaze.

She was secretly annoyed at her own impulsiveness,

unsure what Lin Haoran would think of her now.

But Lin Haoran, of course, wasn't about to let this rare opportunity slip away.

A mischievous smile played at the corner of his mouth.

Gently wrapping his arms around her slender waist,

he scooped her up effortlessly and strode toward the CEO's private office.

Carrying her through his personal office into the more secluded inner room,

he gently laid her down on the soft bed.

Realizing what was about to happen,

Guan Jiahui didn't resist.

Though nervous, she felt an inexplicable sense of anticipation.

Closing her eyes tightly,

her long lashes trembled slightly—

like a delicate flower quietly waiting to be picked,

ready to receive every tender touch Lin Haoran would bestow.
