Chapter 218 - Death of the Youngest, Wrath of the Three Gulliver Brothers!

Chapter 86 – Death of the Youngest, Wrath of the Three Gulliver Brothers!

Two of the brothers turned around and bent their knees slightly.

In that instant, the youngest—Grer—launched himself into the air, using their backs as springboards.

The eldest, Alfrigg Gulliver, gripped a long spear tightly in his hands. With the stance of a war god descending upon the battlefield, he stood at the front line, blocking the horde of giant shadows encircling them.

His mastery over the long weapon was undeniable. Every time a blade or claw came at him, it was either deflected or sent crashing to the ground with swift precision.

"Ready."

"Go, Grer."

"Got it."

In the blink of an eye, Grer shot through the air like a fired arrow. His fierce gaze locked onto Shin Akira, and the massive sword in his hand pointed straight at the man's chest—right at his heart.

The goal of the four Gulliver Brothers was clear: kill Shin Akira. They weren't like Otta, who had been ordered to capture him alive. No, their mission was to end his life.

And at this moment, the youngest of them all—Grer—was the linchpin of their strategy.

Akira watched with an amused smile.

A surprise assault—undoubtedly the smartest choice.

After all, he was the sole commander of the Shadowkhan army. If he died here, it would all be over.

But there was just one fatal flaw.

Could a lone Grer possibly defeat Shin Akira?

The answer was obvious—absolutely not.

Even setting aside his arsenal of techniques, Akira's raw physical power alone was on a completely different level.

Though both of them were Level 5 adventurers, Akira had long since exceeded the S·999 stat cap in every category. Every one of his parameters had reached SSS·1199—without exception.

Grer, for all his talent and experience, was still only a top-tier Level 5. But even that wasn't enough.

"Die!!"

Grer roared with burning hatred as he charged.

This was the man. This was the face that had stolen everything.

The one their goddess favored.

Even as their Familia brothers fell in battle, their goddess hadn't so much as flinched. She never showed sorrow, never shed a tear.

It was all because of him.

If Grer could kill this man... maybe everything would go back to how it was.

"You're amusing... Tell me, what gave you the idea that you could defeat me alone?"

Just as Grer closed the distance—mere meters away—Akira finally opened his mouth and spoke in a calm, unbothered tone.

In that moment, Grer's eyes widened in disbelief.

And so did the eyes of his three brothers.

Especially Alfrigg—the eldest—whose face twisted in panic and horror.

"Grer!"

"No!!"

"Damn it!"

Their expressions changed instantly. Alfrigg's face turned pale, overtaken by fear.

All around Akira, dark tendrils began to creep out from the shadows—snaking and writhing like demonic creatures from the depths of hell.

And Akira stood at the center of it all, like a dark king on his throne, gazing down upon the world with supreme authority.

"My battle with Otta was close-range because he was a warrior. But I never claimed to be a fighter or a swordsman."

He paused, his lips curling slightly.

"In truth… I'm a mage."

The grinding sound of shadow tendrils scraping the ground echoed from every direction.

Then they shot toward Grer like a barrage of spears.

But Grer wasn't some random rookie adventurer. He was a top-level fighter, and even midair, he twisted his body and struck down several tendrils with his greatsword.

Unfortunately, there were just too many of them.

"Honestly, I expected more from you. You didn't even get to use your vaunted combo techniques before this was over."

Akira's voice wasn't loud, yet it carried clearly across the battlefield—to the ears of Grer's brothers, who were still fending off waves of shadow beasts and cursed weapons.

Their rage flared uncontrollably.

"Stop!!"

"You bastard!!"

"I'LL KILL YOU!!"

Though they were still locked in a desperate fight, their eyes were fixed on Grer. Their fury was uncontainable now.

Suddenly, blood splattered across the ground.

One of the shadow tendrils had pierced through Grer's left shoulder, sending a spray of crimson into the air.

That… was the beginning of the end.

The injury robbed him of his ability to swing his sword properly.

The next moment, dozens of tendrils tore through his body—lifting him into the air like a pinned insect.

Blood gushed from his wounds, unstoppable.

And so… the youngest of the Gulliver Brothers, their beloved little brother who had fought at their side for years, was dying before their eyes.

"N—No way…"

Grer's voice trembled. He couldn't believe it.

He hadn't expected to lose this badly—this quickly.

This wasn't a fair fight. The strength of this man… it was nothing like what Otta had described.

There were only three possibilities:

Otta had lied.

Otta had held back during their fight.

Or… Shin Akira's power had increased drastically in just the past half-month.

But no matter which was true, Grer couldn't accept it.

Just thirty days…

Could someone really grow this strong in that short time?

Had their years—no, decades—of training meant so little in comparison?

The gap between them was terrifying.

With frustration and disbelief flooding his heart, and blood pouring from his wounds, Grer's limbs began to go numb. His pulse weakened. His vision blurred.

And finally… his life came to an end.

"GRER!!"

"No! This can't be happening!!"

"Damn you!! I'LL RIP YOU APART!!"

The death of their youngest shattered whatever restraint the three surviving brothers had left.

Whether it was love for their goddess or pride in their Familia—it no longer mattered.

All that remained was vengeance.

The sound of shattering shadows echoed through the battlefield.

Like protagonists unlocking hidden strength at the peak of their rage, the three Gulliver Brothers went berserk.

In seconds, they decimated the Shadowkhan troops and darkness beasts around them.

Then, together—they charged at Shin Akira, their hearts screaming for blood.

Akira didn't call for backup. He didn't move.

He just stood there, watching them with cold amusement—like a cat toying with mice.

"DIE!!"

"BURN IN HELL!!"

"I'LL DESTROY YOU!!"

It didn't take long for the three to reach him.

They ignored the shadows that lunged at them.

And at the exact same instant—coordinated to perfection—they struck with their weapons.

A long spear.

A giant hammer.

A massive axe.

Three heavy weapons, infused with their full fury and strength, came crashing toward Shin Akira—

Determined to crush the man who had taken everything from them.
