There was only one solution left—drive Celia out of CC before her identity was exposed. Or better yet, make her disappear entirely.
Getting rid of a clown girl from the countryside? That's easy.
With this thought, Rosalie finally felt at ease.
Soon, both Celia and Rosalie were summoned to Director Li Yao's office. Although he intended to personally supervise both of them, it was clear that he favored Rosalie.
He handed her a pair of confidential files."Rosalie, these are the quarterly perfume formulas created by King over the past two years. This is an exclusive, top-secret document. You'll have access to it for a few days. Study it carefully and write a report with your insights."
Rosalie gasped, "Wow!" and accepted the file with both hands as if she were holding a sacred treasure. It was her first time being so close to anything associated with King.
"Director Li, thank you. I won't let you down." She smiled sweetly.
Then, casting a quick glance at Celia, she asked, "But Director, what about Celia?"
Li Yao turned to Celia. "Although you were recommended by King, real skill is still necessary to work under me. You won't have access to King's formula for now. Start by assisting the others and learning from your colleagues."
Celia nodded without complaint. "Understood."
As they left the office, Rosalie clutched the formula documents to her chest like a newborn baby.
She glanced at Celia and said with a hint of mockery, "Celia, Director Li's got you doing odd jobs now. That's kind of sad. Want me to sneak you a peek at the formulas?"
Celia gave the file a brief glance and smiled calmly. "No need. You go ahead and study them thoroughly."
Rosalie gave a light snort. Tch, jealous much? Then say it out loud.
Later That Day, After Work
Rosalie and her colleague Zoe strolled out together.
"Rosalie, do you have some time? Want to go shopping?" Zoe asked with a grin.
"Sure! Hop in my car," Rosalie offered, pulling out the keys to her Ferrari and unlocking it with a proud beep-beep.
Zoe's eyes widened. "Wow, this Ferrari is gorgeous! It must've cost a fortune."
"Not really—just six million yuan. My parents bought it for me," Rosalie replied casually.
"Oh my gosh, your parents spoil you like a princess. You're basically the poster child for being adored."
Rosalie's vanity was thoroughly satisfied. Just then, her phone rang—it was a call from her mother, Lillian.
Today, Lillian had gone to a luxury spa with Mrs. Song and several other high-society women.
Rosalie answered the call. Lillian's excited voice came through the speaker:"Rosalie, I just found out something big from Mrs. Song! Mrs. Fu—Mr. Fu's mother—is also in the country right now. And they say Nathaniel is extremely filial. If you can win over Mrs. Fu first, you'll have a much better shot at marrying into the Fu family."
Rosalie's eyes sparkled. "Really, Mom? Mrs. Fu is in the country?"
"Yes! Mrs. Song is arranging a small party tomorrow night. We'll be attending together—it's at the Fu family's ancestral estate. This is your chance to make an impression!"
Rosalie's heart pounded with excitement.What a golden opportunity—to meet Mrs. Fu face-to-face!
"I love you, Mom!"
After hanging up, Rosalie slipped the phone into her designer purse. Just then, a gentle voice called out nearby.
"Excuse me, does Celia work here?"
It was Mrs. Fu—here to pick up her daughter-in-law after work.
Rosalie turned and looked the woman up and down. She was dressed modestly, without any flashy jewelry or designer clothes. She didn't look like a wealthy matriarch at all.
Rosalie curled her lips in slight contempt. "Yes, Celia works here. But she's already clocked out for the day. She doesn't have a car, so she's probably waiting at the bus stop outside."
