Chapter 68 - Chapter 68: hearty lunch

Old Man Cang's eyes twinkled. "And in return?"

"In return, I'll pay you a fair price and pay delivery fees for the goods myself every few days. No haggling, no middlemen. Just fresh produce and timely payment."

The old farmer chuckled. "Girl, you sound like you've been running businesses for twenty years."

"I've been running kitchens.." she corrected with a smile. "Which is harder."

He laughed again and waved them toward the barn. "Let's see what we can start with today."

Inside, the air was warm and smelled faintly of hay and livestock.

Rows of milk cans were neatly arranged near the door, and a covered crate of eggs sat beside them. One of Old Man Cang's sons came in carrying a freshly churned wheel of goat cheese.

"This is from yesterday's batch.." the son said, setting it down carefully. "We've got more curing in the back."
