A long time ago, the Kais invaded our world.
We fought tooth and nail, but it was impossible to win — they were unpredictable. So, we created a hierarchy:
Those with numbers below 18 are considered worthless. They are condemned to fight in the war.
I was just a child at the time. I didn't understand much.
But everything changed...
As he opened the book, he looked us straight in the eyes.
— I'll name each type of No Kai. I want you to pay attention.
1. No Kai Class (Tier 1) – Humanoid creatures that feed on blood and souls.
2. Youkai Class (Tier 2) – Mythological beings, from flesh-eating monsters to ghosts.
3. Soukai Class – Extremely rational. They are considered a threat to our continent.
4. Mystery Class – Little is known about these beings. We call them "Dream" or Son Kai. Highly dangerous.
— These creatures are formidable, — he sighed, closing the book and raising a cloud of dust.
— Understand this: as long as they exist, there will be no peace between continents.
I didn't know it yet, but that moment changed the way I saw the high classes.
— So... we're superheroes?! — I asked.
My sister laughed:
— That's stupid... but yes, we are.
