Chapter 44 - Ch: 44

After finishing his warning, Trunks departed for the future, promising to return in three years.

Stunned by the grim news of what was to come, the warriors vowed to push themselves through the most grueling training of their lives. Lisette, too, felt the weight of the situation. She realized that her previous efforts wouldn't be enough to survive the coming storm.

To be honest, Lisette had been overconfident. She assumed that even without Goku, she could handle a few Androids. She figured she could take down Cell before he ever reached his Perfect Form—even if he used the Solar Flare, she was certain her sensory abilities would counter it.

But she was wrong. The "Movie Villain Rush" Trunks described was a nightmare that couldn't be overcome with simple preparation. Traditional training was no longer an option.

How do I do it? she wondered. How do I trigger a massive leap in power in such a short time?

She settled on a dangerous gamble: the Ultra Divine Water.

It was a lethal poison, but in exchange for surviving it, a warrior's latent potential would be forcibly unlocked. She gambled on her "Absolute Survival" ability. In theory, her body's capacity to adapt to any environment should include immunity to toxins.

After all, "poison" is a relative term. Onions are toxic to dogs but food for humans; oxygen itself can be a slow poison under the right conditions. A being designed to survive anywhere should be able to ignore viral or chemical threats.

The timing, however, was key. Having just had her potential unlocked by the Grand Elder on Namek, using the water immediately would yield diminishing returns. She decided to wait until the final year of the three-year window.

Next, she focused on intensifying her "standard" training. She increased the weight of her gear, cranked up the gravity in the training chamber, and pushed her ki output to the breaking point. But such a regime would eventually shatter her body, and wasting Senzu Beans for daily recovery was inefficient.

She found a solution through Bulma. Lisette requested that the scientist analyze the medical machines from Frieza's ship. Bulma, of course, exceeded expectations. She gave Vegeta the original model and built a custom, "upgraded" version for Lisette.

The result was a large, translucent crystal. It filled with a high-efficiency healing fluid, and since Lisette didn't need to breathe, it lacked the traditional oxygen mask. To an outside observer, Lisette didn't look like she was healing; she looked like a "Sleeping Goddess" sealed within a diamond.

The effects were miraculous. Just one hour in the tank fully restored her vitality, allowing her to push her body far beyond its natural limits. She mastered 300x gravity and successfully maintained her 50x Burst Limitindefinitely, treating it like a natural state of being—much like Goku would eventually do with the Super Saiyan form.

She didn't just train herself. She gathered the warriors at the Lookout—including a begrudgingly recruited Vegeta—and oversaw their development.

In the final year, she finally drank the Ultra Divine Water.

She nearly died.

Her theory about being immune to poison was technically correct—her body didn't wither away from the chemical toxicity. However, the Ultra Divine Water was not a physical poison; it was a spiritual one. It acted directly on the "Ki" to forcibly drag out hidden power. No biological adaptation could ignore that.

She spent a week in a localized hell, her soul feeling as if it were being flayed. During this time, the others got carried away as well. Mr. Popo and Nappa drank the water to share her burden, and Korin—who had left the water out—accidentally drank it thinking it was regular water. All four of them spent days on the brink of death.

But the results were undeniable. Lisette broke through her final wall. Her base power surged so high that she could now hold her own against Frieza without any power-ups.

Nappa, while his base power didn't skyrocket as much, unlocked a unique evolution: he could now tap into the tenfold power of the Great Ape while remaining in his human form.

When Yamcha attempted to drink the water later, his heart stopped instantly. Lisette managed to resuscitate him using telekinesis and CPR, but since his power remained unchanged, she declared the water too dangerous and sealed it away forever.

When Lisette arrived at the designated meeting point on the southern island, everyone except Vegeta and Future Trunks had already gathered. Bulma was there as well, cradling the infant Trunks of this timeline. It was a strange sight for Lisette, who still remembered the younger versions of Yamcha and Bulma together.

Boss Rabbit was left behind to guard the Lookout in case of a surprise attack.

"Lisette! You made it!" Gohan cried, running toward her.

He was nine years old now and growing fast. Lisette, whose physical growth had stopped at fourteen, stood at only 153cm (5'0"). She realized it wouldn't be long before the boy outgrew her.

"Goku, do you have the medicine for your heart?" Lisette asked.

"Oh, that? I left it at home," Goku laughed. "I never got sick, so I figured I didn't need it."

Lisette watched him closely. He looked healthy, but she knew the symptoms could strike at any moment. In this timeline, the "script" was already fraying; there was no telling when the virus would activate.

"Don't worry," Turles added, leaning against a rock in a white coat. "If Kakarot falls, I'll step in and finish the job."

"It's past ten o'clock," Tien noted, his brow furrowed. "But I don't feel a thing. No evil presence, no ki... nothing."

"That's to be expected," Lisette explained. "They are Androids. They don't possess a life force for us to sense."

The group stiffened. The threat wasn't "coming"—it was already here.

"Stay sharp, everyone," Lisette commanded. "We have to find them with our eyes."

"Heh... I came to this planet to destroy it, and now I'm the one looking for a machine to protect it," Nappa chuckled, though his eyes were scanning the city with lethal intent.

Lisette suddenly felt a flicker of "will"—a cold, mechanical intent that only her psychic abilities could catch. She saw two figures descending into the city. But then, she saw three more.

They weren't the old man and the fat cyborg she expected.

One was a massive man with white skin and a braided ponytail. Another was short with purple skin and sunglasses. The third wore a vest and a hat, his white hair slicked back.

Androids 13, 14, and 15.

"You're the God of this world, aren't you?" the one in the hat—Android 13—asked as they landed.

"And you... are Gero's creations," Lisette replied. She was relieved she had encountered them instead of Gohan or Krillin. These three would have killed them in seconds.

"Correct. Our primary goal is the termination of Son Goku. However, Dr. Gero ordered the elimination of the 'Goddess' first, as you are the greatest obstacle. Therefore, you die now."

"I don't think so," Lisette said. "And we aren't fighting here. I'm moving us."

Without waiting for a response, she hit all three with a combined Kiai Cannon and telekinetic thrust. She didn't give them a choice. She launched them away from the populated city and toward the desolate northern glaciers.

She had to isolate them. If she let them combine with Androids 19 and 20, the resulting chaos would be uncontrollable. She landed on the ice, facing the trio.

"So, that was your psychic power," 13 said, adjusting his hat. "As the data predicted, you are a troublesome variable."

"Your data seems a bit outdated," Lisette countered.

"Perhaps. Dr. Gero's spy bots had difficulty tracking you. Every time one got close, you seemed to identify and destroy it. But even for a God, you cannot win against the three of us at once. Die! S.S. Deadly Bomber!"

13 launched a massive red orb of energy. Lisette didn't move. She stood her ground as the blast impacted. When the smoke cleared, her Dual Barrier was still shimmering, completely unscathed.

"Is that the best you can do?"

Lisette raised her hand toward the sky. Using her Ki Solidification, she manifested the God Hand—a massive, white fist of energy floating above the ice.

"I won't allow a future of despair to take root here. Let's begin."
