Grey was really shocked now. He could not believe the sight that he had just witnessed, but at the same time, he did. This was a corroded zone that was created after God's blinding radiance hit the land.
Bizarre existences would awake, and strange abominations would be born. Malicious ghost and spirits would wander the nights of this zone for the rest of their lives.
Perhaps the man he saw was one of the malicious ghosts that would spend the rest of its life wandering around. Or maybe something else happened to him. Grey did not know, but he felt that this matter was very strange. In the end, he chose not to linger and to stay away.
"This matter is much bigger than me, and my power is so low that I cannot guarantee my own safety." Grey gave it thought before giving up. For now, he did not want to involve himself with bizarre existences or malicious ghosts.
Grey continued his search for the exit of the corroded zone, but he found that he just kept on going in circles. He gradually became confused and stopped at night to rest.
His stomach was rumbling and growling lowly. Grey had not eaten ever since he woke up. But cultivating with the Sky Mist Art had allowed for his hunger to be alleviated. Even if it was just by a little bit.
As the sun was swallowed by the horizon, and the silent moon drifted over to the red and eerie skies, Grey entered a semi-conscious state.
His cultivation had reached the peak of the Second Level of Qi Accumulation. With just a little more, Grey could take that step and enter the Third Level of Qi Accumulation. But that step was not as easy to take as it sounded.
His body kept on accumulating energy, but even when he did, he still couldn't break through to the Third level. This left him very puzzled and baffled.
'It cannot be that I am experiencing a bottleneck? I just started cultivating a few days ago, how can I experience a bottleneck?' Grey thought inwardly but still continued to cultivate.
Soon, those shrill moans and cries of various mutated creatures and abominations drifted into his ears. This time, their moans and cries were getting increasingly closer to his location.
Grey hurridly stopped circulating his Qi and became vigilant. Although he had not seen those creatures that moaned and cried with a shrill voice. Grey could tell that if he saw one or if they found his location, it would be very difficult for him to survive.
As Spirit energy stopped gushing into his body, the shrill cries and moans paused for a few seconds, as if they were trying to figure out where Grey was.
In the end, they drew away from his location. Making Grey sigh softly in relief.
"It's best if I don't cultivate when those strange creatures are around. Although I don't know their strength, I have a feeling that it's not something I can survive." Grey said in a low voice.
His terror and respect for the corroded zone had grown even more by now. Grey did not cultivate as fiercely as he did again, but he did allow spirit energy to rush in and nourish his body.
Soon, the night passed. And in another location some distance away from the corroded zone, a young man walked out from a small house.
His young man had a cool and calm disposition around him, and his expression was filled with indifference. This indifference was as if nothing in the world could shake him or cause his expression to change.
The young man had a hair full of long black hair, but a few locks of it were white. As the man stepped out of the small house, he sighed softly and a small wisp of mist floated out of his mouth.
This young man was the leader of the Scavenger camp close to the Corroded Zone where Grey currently was.
After God descended and the world experienced a dramatic change, the many races including humans were all affected.
When God first descended, his power was sent to the sea and turned the sea into the Dead Sea. After that, the corrosive substance was formed. But that was not all! God's power fell in several places and changed the land into a Corroded Zone.
These corroded zones appeared where people where. And as these places were changed into zones, many of the lives there either died or mutated into abominations.
Some people that lived near the cities before fled and created Scavenger camps. These Scavenger camps were filled with people who were displaced after God's blinding radiance fell.
Each and every single one of them was a scheming, malicious and clever person. But that was normal. To survive in this cruel and chaotic world, everyone had to adapt to survive.
When the young man came out of the small house, he sent a message and a few minutes later, two people arrived. One of them was a tall and bulky man. His face was covered in scars, but his eyes were bright and innocent.
After the bulky man appeared, a young woman also followed after. She had a slender and graceful figure and a bow could be seen at her back.
When they both arrived, they greeted the young man in front of them with a serious expression, as if they were greeting their senior.
Well, that was because the young man in front of them was the leader of the Scavenger camp. Although he looked young, the aura of a strong expert was being radiated from him at this moment.
If Grey was here, he would be shocked because the Spirit energy fluctuations that he felt from the young man was infinitely close to the Ninth level of Qi Accumulation.
The young man returned their greetings with a curt nod. He then looked behind them but did not see any other person.
The young woman noticed his gaze and hurridly said. "The others are not in the Scavenger camp, but they agreed to join us. We should meet them on the way." The young woman said.
The young man did not say anything, only nodding. They then left the scavenger camp and went towards the Corroded Zone in the distance.

When the first ray of sunlight fell through the thick red clouds and landed on Grey's face, his body could help but shudder lightly as he sighed slowly.
His eyes opened slowly only a second later. With the arrival of dawn, the shrill cries and screams that he heard throughout the night disappeared. It was clear that they avoided the day, and would only come out at night.
Grey did not say anything and only got up. After checking that he had all of his belongings with him, he unblocked the door and left the dilapidated building.
