Chapter 2 - ARC 1: The Splendid Childhood (Ch. 4-12)

At two years old, Scozza toddles clumsily through the family's backyard and trips over a toy. His father, Ace, catches him just in time.

Ace (smiling): "You're gonna change the world, kiddo."

Scozza blinked, knowing better. He wouldn't change the world — but he'd still enjoy the ride.

At five, he fixes a broken clock his mother Reina kept in her reading room.

Reina: "How did you…?"

Scozza (fake yawn): "Lucky guess."

He deliberately fails a test at his private elementary school.

Teacher: "You could be top of the class. Why hold back?"

Scozza (shrugging): "I just want to be normal."

At eight he visits a museum with his classmates. He befriends a curious boy named Jules, He's got wild hair, endless questions, and the kind of loyalty that could outlast lifetimes.

Jules: "Do you think space has an edge?"

Scozza: "Nah. But maybe people do."

One snowy night, Scozza writes a letter to Santa: "Make me forget the countdown… just for one day.", Nyxcie watches from a nearby casement.

Next day he and his sister, Konikura, open a lemonade stand in their neighborhood. Business fails — most passerbys are uninterested — but their laughter makes it all worth it, scozza's wish was granted.
