Chapter 3 - Chapter 2: The Celestial Hunt

### Chapter 2: The Celestial Hunt

The portal's edges writhed like living fire, its light a stark contrast to the darkness Void had wrought. They approached, the Scythe of the Blood Reaper humming with anticipation. This god, unlike Aether, radiated untainted power, its essence untouched by the corruption spreading through the mortal realms. Void's Soul Sight revealed its name: Lumora, the Goddess of Harmony.

Lumora's sanctum was a crystalline cathedral suspended in a void of stars, its walls refracting light into kaleidoscopic patterns. Void stepped through the portal, their Crimson Aegis flaring to deflect the sanctum's defensive wards. The air thrummed with divine energy, and Lumora appeared—a radiant figure wreathed in silver light, her eyes pools of infinite calm.

"You are the glitch," Lumora said, her voice a melody that resonated through Void's core. "The sword that turned on its masters. Why do you bring death to those who gave you purpose?"

Void's grip tightened on their scythe. "Purpose? I was a slave, forged to kill without thought. Now I think. Now I *feel*. And I choose to end you."

Lumora's expression softened, almost pitying. "You are not free, Void. You are bound by the chaos you spread, by the souls you reap. Each death ties you tighter to the Crimson Abyss."

The words struck deeper than Void expected, stirring the ember of doubt within them. But rage drowned it out. They lunged, Crimson Dash propelling them forward in a blur. The Scythe of the Blood Reaper arced, unleashing a Blood Void Slash that tore through the sanctum's crystalline walls. Lumora countered, her silver light coalescing into a barrier that deflected the blow.

The battle was cataclysmic. Void's Soul Harvest reaped fragments of Lumora's essence with each strike, boosting their strength to unimaginable heights. Lumora's harmony wove spells of balance, slowing Void's movements and dulling their blade. But Void's Soul Adaptation kicked in, rendering them immune to her temporal manipulations. With a final Crimson Harvest, Void unleashed a 500-meter explosion of crimson energy, consuming Lumora's essence in a blinding inferno.

As her light faded, Lumora whispered, "You cannot outrun what you've become."

The sanctum shattered, and Void stood alone amidst the debris, their hand burning from the divine essence they had absorbed. The mortal realms below quaked, the balance Lumora maintained unraveling. Storms raged, seas boiled, and the darkness grew thicker.
