Ryan drives through the forest, going over rocks and potholes, causing the drive to be a bumpy one but Ryan doesn't care. Right now all that's on his mind is what they found.
I can't believe that happened to luke…and what the hell kind of animal did something like that?
Ryan kept his eyes focused on the dark dirt road, trying to avoid running into anything…and trying to see if he could find anything suspicious along the way.
After about twenty minutes of driving, the trees finally gave way to an opening. The area was just an open field about the size of a football field with some targets along the tree line on the far side and some other targets a little closer. Near the makeshift parking lot is some picnic tables for gun rests and stuff.
The targets themselves weren't anything fancy. Haybales with some paper targets on them with a bunch of holes.
Looks like Derrick got some practice in. He could be useful if things go bad.
I'm looking around the area until I see a shed to the far right and contrary to what Derrick said, it was locked.
Ryan picked up a big rock and slammed it on the lock, breaking it instantly. He opens the door slowly and inside is nothing but a simple handgun, a single box of ammo, and a holster that can be attached to his belt.
Dammit, someone took all the guns…
Then Ryan's thoughts drift back to the guy he chased through the woods.
He takes the gun and ammo box, making sure the gun is loaded and holstered on his belt.
I gotta warn the others…someone on this island is armed to the teeth, dangerous, and running around freely.
He gets back in the jeep and begins his drive back to the mansion, driving down the dark road and into the forest.
He's finally 5 minutes away from the mansion when suddenly an animal jumps out in front of him. Ryan frantically turns the wheel to avoid it and crashes straight into a tree and his head smacks into the steering wheel causing his vision to blur.
After a moment Ryan steps out of the car and stumbles before catching himself.
Yeah that engine is demolished. Gonna have to go on foot. That adds another 50 minutes to get back if I followed this road.
Ryan turns towards the woods in the direction of the mansion.
Time to do some off-roading.
Ryan looks in the jeeps glove box and finds some duct tape. He takes his gun and flashlight out and wraps the tape around the light under the gun's barrel so he can aim better if he needs to.
Creepy forest here I come.
Ryan begins his descent into the woods, hoping for the best but ready for the worst…little does he know that his version of the worst is one thousand times not as bad as what he's about to experience.
