A bitter expression crossed Master Roshi's weathered face. He remained silent for a long moment before speaking. "Of course I've thought about it! But we don't even know where New Namek is located in the northern galaxy. Without any clues, it would be impossible to find Namek in the vast universe."
Karnel nodded in understanding. The original Namek had been destroyed during the battle between Goku and Frieza, and afterward, Piccolo and the others had used the dragon balls to wish the surviving Namekians to a new planet. In such circumstances, there was no viable way to reach them except through Goku's Instant Transmission technique.
Karnel shook his head with a slight chuckle. "I can use Instant Transmission as well, so let me take you to Namek to have a look. We can bring Porunga out to make a wish and revive Goku and the others. What do you think?"
"What... you can teleport too? This is wonderful! Earth is saved! Goku and Krillin... they can come back!" Master Roshi's voice trembled with emotion as he thought of the peaceful times before the androids appeared.
Understanding the old master's feelings, Karnel stopped talking and began sensing the location of New Namek across the universe. He searched for the unique aura of the Namekians and the distinctive energy signature of their planet.
Found it. Although the aura on Namek seemed much weaker than before, and the planet had changed somewhat, Karnel could confirm this was indeed their new home.
"Let's go, Master Roshi. I found it!" Karnel placed one hand on Master Roshi's shoulder, called out to the others who were still arguing, explained his intention to leave, and vanished in an instant.
"Mom, Karnel and Master Roshi went to Namek to look for Porunga. I believe Dad will be resurrected soon. I won't go fight those androids alone anymore, so don't worry!" Gohan became tremendously excited at the thought of seeing his father, who had been dead for more than ten years.
"Goku... oh, Goku! That's wonderful!" Chi-Chi collapsed against the Ox King, sobbing with overwhelming emotion.
The Ox King, who had been watching his daughter clutch family photos with tears in her eyes day after day, felt his own excitement surge. His hands trembled slightly as he comforted her. "Chi-Chi, don't be sad. Goku will be resurrected soon, and then our family can truly be reunited."
"Everyone... can we really go back to how things were? That's incredible!" Oolong looked at the two families embracing and crying with joy, then rolled on the ground twice in his excitement.
Whoosh!
Karnel and Master Roshi reappeared, but their faces were grim.
"Master Roshi, why did you come back so quickly? Didn't the Namekians want to bring out the dragon balls?" Bulma hugged Trunks tightly, her eyes filling with tears as panic crept into her voice.
"Alas!" Master Roshi sighed heavily and stood aside without saying a word.
A trace of disappointment flashed in Karnel's eyes as he delivered the crushing news. "The dragon balls have disappeared as well. There's no way to revive Goku and the others."
The sudden shift from overwhelming joy to devastating despair hit Chi-Chi like a physical blow. Her eyes rolled back and she fainted.
"Chi-Chi! Chi-Chi!" The Ox King shouted in alarm, then forced a smile for the others as he carried his unconscious daughter into another room.
"Damn it!" Gohan punched the steel wall with his remaining arm, his knuckles splitting against the unforgiving metal.
Karnel watched the heartbroken group in silence, an idea flickering through his mind before he quickly dismissed it. There was still a way to revive Goku and the others? he could travel to other universes to find the Super Dragon Balls. But this method was incredibly dangerous. The multiverse was filled with beings of unimaginable power, and even with his current strength, Karnel could easily find himself overwhelmed.
When I reach the level of Super Saiyan God, I can give it a try, Karnel thought to himself.
"Everyone, please don't be too sad. When Gohan and Trunks grow strong enough to defeat those androids, I'll think of other ways to see if I can revive Goku and the others." Karnel couldn't bear the suffocating atmosphere of despair any longer, so he quickly spoke up to offer them hope.
Trunks looked up with disappointment etched on his young face. "Those androids are too strong. We can't beat them now, let alone kill them."
Master Roshi was startled. Weren't there no dragon balls left in this world? How could there be other methods? But seeing that Karnel didn't appear to be joking, he asked anxiously, "Do you have some other way to resurrect people without relying on dragon balls?"
"Don't worry about the specifics right now. That method is still beyond my current capabilities. Wait until I eliminate the black-faced enemy, then I'll attempt it. I can't guarantee whether it will work or not."
Karnel had to be cautious about seeking the Super Dragon Balls. He needed to kill the black-faced enemy first. Otherwise, when he departed for other universes, his original Earth would be invaded, and something terrible might happen. Karnel couldn't bear the thought of the person who filled his heart being hurt or even frightened.
Thinking of the beautiful figure that had taken residence in every corner of his mind, Karnel couldn't help but reveal a hint of tenderness on his face.
I have to resolve this quickly! Karnel made a firm decision.
"Gohan, Trunks, since you both want to take revenge with your own strength, let me guide your training from now on. This way, you can develop the power to kill Androids 17 and 18 as soon as possible. Be prepared to risk your lives during this training!"
On the outskirts of the ruined town, Karnel's cold eyes focused on Gohan and Trunks standing before him.
"Yes, I want to avenge my father!" Trunks answered with unwavering determination, his small fists clenched tight.
Karnel didn't react much to the declaration. Risking one's life in training wasn't something that could be accomplished through words alone. Everything depended on the actions that would follow.
"Gohan, come closer." Karnel frowned as he looked at the one-armed Gohan, suddenly realizing what was wrong. He formed a thin energy blade in his hand and made a precise cut on Gohan's severed arm, creating a smooth wound as hot blood spurted out.
"Get your arm healed properly," he said, tossing a Senzu Bean to Gohan. Then he threw forty more beans to Trunks, keeping only ten for himself in case of emergency.
Gohan, who had fought the androids countless times, was as accustomed to pain as he was to breathing. The severe agony from his severed arm didn't affect him at all, and he ate the bean without changing his expression.
The muscle cells on the cleanly cut arm began surging wildly, writhing like countless small creatures stretching and moving beneath the skin. The sight was both fascinating and deeply unsettling as flesh and bone slowly began to regenerate.
