Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: The Hyūga Chakra · Paths of Development

"Hyūga Yuuto, who's Yūhi Kurenai?" Obito asked curiously right after Yuuto dropped his bold declaration.

Who was this girl so captivating that she earned the line: If you marry, marry Yūhi Kurenai?

Yuuto just raised an eyebrow, then pulled his deskmate to her feet.

"I—I'm Yūhi Kurenai…"

"Ehhhhhhhhh?!" The class exploded. All the boys whipped their heads toward her, those in the back even jumped up to get a better look.

And after seeing her—well, they had to admit: he wasn't wrong.Yūhi Kurenai was absolutely adorable.

As for the girls…

"What's so special?! I'm super cute too!""Yeah, we're just as good as her!"

Obito huffed.

"Tch… I think he's even more smug than you," he muttered, side-eyeing Kakashi.

Kakashi just rolled his eyes.

Seriously, why am I being dragged into this?

He looked at Yuuto, disappointed.A Hyūga heir, yet here he was—already flirting and planning marriages instead of sharpening his ninja skills.

Guess he's not much of a rival after all.

"Ahem!" Chūnin-sensei Terabi Sōun knocked on his desk.

"Quiet down! Let Yūhi-san finish her self-introduction!"

Yūhi's cheeks still pink, cleared her throat.

"I'm Yūhi Kurenai… I like spicy food, dislike sweet things and cake. My dream is to become a great kunoichi like Lady Tsunade!"

Kanetetsu slumped.

"You're done for," whispered Izumo."She likes spicy, you like sweet."

"What does that have to do with me?" Kanetetsu grumbled, but he was clearly stung.

Sure, he had no chance—but what if?

After Kurenai sat down, Yuuto leaned over, whispering:

"Trust me, by tonight everyone in this school will know your name. You'll be a sensation, and by tomorrow, people will be lining up at your house."

Kurenai frowned.

"What? Just from what you said?"

"Exactly," Yuuto grinned. "Never underestimate the power of gossip."

She blinked, not fully understanding, but Yuuto had already leaned back, closing his eyes.

Sometimes, he thought, flirt just enough.Too much, and it loses its charm.

"Weirdo," Kurenai muttered and turned away.

[You completed a travel activity: Movement EXP +1, Universal EXP +1]

That came from his trip from the Hyūga compound to the school grounds. Combined with previous EXP from sleep and meals, Yuuto was starting to figure out the system's mechanics.

Each completed action = experience.

But something puzzled him.

I walked, talked, held hands, flirted—why did none of those generate skills or EXP?

Was it because you can't stack activities?

Did those activities not "end" formally?

Or was only the primary action recorded?

"Hands together.""Summon physical energy.""Fuse with mental energy."

Normally, extracting chakra from scratch could take days—but the original Hyūga Yuuto had already laid the foundation.

With those memories and instincts, Yuuto only needed to close his eyes before he began to feel it.

Warmth gathered in his core. A gentle energy fused together—his first chakra.

"It's… not that hard."

Then he tried controlling it.

That was simple too. Chakra was part spiritual energy—which meant it could be moved by thought.

But wasn't chakra control supposed to require hand seals?

Yuuto tested it. He formed the Ram (子) seal and tracked the difference.

He understood now:

Mental control let you move chakra.

Seals, though, let you process it—encode it like programming.

Think-only chakra = raw.Seal-enhanced chakra = elemental techniques: fire, water, etc.

Yuuto opened his eyes and flipped through the Ninja Studies textbook to the section on the chakra pathways.

Chakra could be expelled from five main points:

Both palms

Both soles

And the mouth

The mouth had the widest pathway, followed by the soles, then the palms.

"No wonder big jutsu often erupt from the mouth—or from placing palms on the ground."

Even the Second Hokage's Water Colliding Wave Jutsu generated water underfoot, and techniques like Body Flicker and Tree Walking clearly relied on sole-chakra control.

But that was all standard ninja knowledge.

Yuuto was Hyūga. Their chakra was different.

The Hyūga could release chakra from all 361 tenketsu across the body.

He tested something.

"Let's try releasing chakra into the air…"

He held out his palm and focused.

"Chakra persists in the air for 44 seconds…"

He tore a scrap of paper and dropped it on his hand.

The chakra held it aloft.

"It has physical interference properties…"

He turned—and found Kurenai staring, wide-eyed.

"How did you do that?" she asked, pointing to his hand.

"Holding up the paper?" Yuuto replied casually. "It's a Hyūga thing."

"Ohh, kekkei traits. Got it." Kurenai nodded. Mystery solved.

But this wasn't something most chakra could do.

"So normal chakra can't hold solid matter?"

Yuuto now understood why Hyūga didn't rely on elemental ninjutsu.

Others had to transform chakra into fire, lightning, etc. to make it deadly. The Hyūga's raw chakra could hurt without that—it was already physical.

That's why the Gentle Fist and other strikes worked. No need for fireballs when you could punch someone's chakra system into oblivion.

"Tailed Beast chakra… Star chakra…"

His thoughts expanded.

Tailed Beast chakra could interact with matter far more forcefully—it was chakra plus elemental attributes.

Star chakra, like the kind from Hoshigakure's Star Village, mutated under stellar exposure. That chakra had similar physical interference, allowing their Mysterious Peacock Method—chakra shaped into wings, beasts, and attacks.

From this, Yuuto saw two development paths:

1. Attribute Transformation

If Hyūga chakra was already superior in interference, adding elements could make it Tailed Beast-tier in power.

2. Physical Evolution

Push the interference ability further, develop chakra shaping to extremes—not just wings like Star Village...

Build a chakra Gundam.

Who said only the Uchiha could summon giant warriors?

The Hyūga could too—through science and refinement.

If he could master attribute + interference + form, it might rival even Wood Release in versatility and power.

After all, aren't we all descendants of the Six Paths?
