Chapter 45 - Chapter 45: 130 Days – Preparations Before Traveling to the Parallel Timeline

"Me?"

Lynx was surprised. Why was he the one capable of opening a pathway to a specific timeline?

"Hey! Are you just making things up now?" Tights shouted. "Big brother Lynx doesn't have any superpowers. How could he possibly do that?!"

Zuno didn't even glance at her.

"You didn't offer a tribute. You're not allowed to ask questions."

"What?! You fat—mmph!"Tights was abruptly silenced by Jaco, who quickly covered her mouth.

Come on—Tights wasn't Lynx. She couldn't just talk to Zuno-sama like that!

Zuno continued,

"If it's not a case of mistaken identity, then it's definitely you. You possess a special power. As long as you take Time Metal to a black hole, you'll be able to open a path to the designated world."

Could it be...?

Lynx's eyes narrowed slightly. He was starting to understand what Zuno meant.

The "special power" Zuno referred to was probably the system residing in Lynx's body.

In other words, if he took the Time Metal to a black hole, his system might assist in reaching the parallel timeline where Broly existed?

"System… is that what he meant?" Lynx asked silently in his mind.

Ding!

"Replying to host: The system is restricted from revealing information until new feature conditions are met."

So, no denial—that was as good as confirmation.

Lynx smiled.

"Alright, I understand. Thanks."

He turned to leave but suddenly thought of something and turned back.

"By the way, is there any way I can gain power equal to a God of Destruction in a short amount of time?"

"You've used up your question quota…" Zuno began saying out of habit—until he noticed Lynx's fingertip glowing with another powerful energy orb.

"First method: train under an Angel. Angelic training can rapidly increase your strength."

"Second method… there is none. Strength is something that must be earned through effort. There's no such thing as an overnight shortcut."

Zuno closed his eyes and sighed deeply—but then suddenly opened them again, looking directly at Lynx.

"Unless… if it's you, there might actually be a way to leap in power instantly."

"You really do know everything."Lynx chuckled, then turned to Tights and Jaco.

"Let's go. We're heading back to Earth."

Only after watching Lynx and the others vanish did Zuno finally let out a sigh of relief.

His attendant, still fuming, exclaimed:

"Zuno-sama! Just what is that Saiyan guy's background? Should we report this to the Supreme Kais?"

"Forget it! He's not someone we can handle. Even the Supreme Kais wouldn't be able to deal with him."

Then, Zuno solemnly ordered the palace doors shut.

"We're closed for the day. No more guests."

After returning from Zuno's planet, Lynx immediately began preparations for his journey to the parallel timeline.

Although Zuno had said that the rare Taimul-Pes Metal—or Time Metal—no longer existed, Lynx knew he could simply summon Shenron to create a piece.

However, the Earth and Namekian Dragon Balls had recently been used. The soonest he could summon Porunga, the Namekian dragon, would be in 130 days.

Fortunately, those 130 days were just what Lynx needed.

He wasn't going on a simple trip. Though he could now transform into a Super Saiyan, Lynx wasn't confident he'd return alive from a world ruled by that Broly.

So, he decided to use those 130 days for intense training.

Over the following weeks, Lynx split his time between Earth and Planet Vegeta.

Sometimes he'd train in Earth's 500x gravity chamber.

Other times, he sparred in high-intensity Super Saiyan battles with Hanasia.

But even with all that, Lynx felt it wasn't enough.

The enemy he'd soon face wasn't just some average foe. It was a parallel version of Broly, the Legendary Super Saiyan.

This Broly was vastly different from the one Lynx knew. Though they looked similar, they were not the same person.

In that other world, nearly all the dark emotions of the Saiyan race had gathered in Broly's body. And due to the side effects of his unique bloodline, Broly had long since lost his sanity—driven purely by a lust for combat and destruction.

In the version of events Lynx remembered, Goku and the Z Fighters needed to combine the powers of four Super Saiyans, and even then, they couldn't defeat Broly. Only by transferring all their ki into Goku did they finally manage to take him down.

Lynx knew better than anyone: in his current state, he couldn't even handle four Hanasias at once, let alone match four Gokus.

If he couldn't rapidly become stronger, going to the other timeline was a near-certain death sentence.

Time flew. The 130-day countdown to Porunga's revival was almost up—but Lynx still felt he wasn't ready.

His power had grown, yes—but not nearly fast enough to meet the challenge ahead.

Hanasia lacked the combat talent to push Lynx further. She was already weaker than him, so their sparring no longer provided new insights.

Maybe I should spar with this world's Broly? A bold thought crossed Lynx's mind.

After all, even in this world, Broly still existed.

If he could test himself against this Broly, perhaps he'd learn something useful for fighting the other Broly?

Motivated by this idea, Lynx headed to Kami's Lookout and met with Broly. He explained his situation directly.

"Big bro Lynx… you want to fight me?"

"Yes. I may soon face a powerful enemy. I need to strengthen myself. Hanasia can't help me anymore, so I thought of you."

Lynx smiled warmly at the young man before him.

Though Broly was currently suppressing his energy, Lynx's system showed that his true battle power was already 1.2 million!

That was insane—Broly had never trained a day in his life, and he already had a power level like that.

That was the terrifying potential of the Legendary Super Saiyan bloodline.

Broly's version of the "Legendary" bloodline was slightly different from Lynx's.

To put it in terms of Dragon Ball lore:

Broly's bloodline matched the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie version.

Lin Chen's bloodline followed a different "Legendary" branch from Super: Broly - The Burning Battles.

In terms of raw power amplification, Broly's version was far stronger than Lynx's.

Which meant sparring with Broly would absolutely help Lynx grow.

But unexpectedly, Broly hesitated after hearing Lynx's proposal.

"Big bro Lynx… I don't want to fight. Not even with you."

"It's just practice, Broly…"

"Don't you remember why I came to Earth in the first place?"

Lynx fell silent.

Right. The whole reason Broly had come to Earth was to escape the endless duels and challenges from Saiyans on Planet Vegeta.

And now, here Lynx was—doing the exact same thing.

"Sorry, Broly. I didn't consider how you'd feel."

Realizing his mistake, Lynx immediately apologized.

But at the same time, he now felt stuck—if he couldn't spar with Broly…

Then how was he going to grow stronger in time?
