PROLOGUE

The last sun flickered... then died.

Cities screamed as night swallowed the sky, and for the first time in history, the world fell completely dark.

That was the day the monsters came.

They weren't born from hell — they were hell. Crawling from the scars in the earth, stitched together by shadows, shaped by fear. The world called them "Beasts of the Eclipse."

The lucky ones died quickly. The rest? They became... like them.

In the ruins of a forgotten temple, surrounded by whispers and ash, a child took his first breath as the solar eclipse reached its peak.

That child was never meant to exist. They called him cursed. An omen. A mistake.

His mother bled to death under the moon's shadow, clutching him with a final prayer no one heard. No father. No family. Just cold hands, and colder stares.

Raised in the edge-camps of the Shadow Wastes, Kaien Arasetsu was taught only one thing: Survive. Even if you have to become a monster.

For seventeen years, he stayed hidden — scavenging, fighting, and losing little pieces of himself to the silence.

Until the day the system awakened. Until the day it spoke to him.

Confirm Sacrifice to Form Contract with Beast — [Duskhound]

And as the last memory of his sister's laugh flickered and vanished like dying embers…

He became something else.

No longer just a boy.

No longer fully human.

Something in between.

Something that walks beside beasts.

The first... and maybe the last...

ECLIPSEBORNE.
