Chapter 146 - Chapter 146: Emergency Transfer Order

Might Duy's final Ultimate Art of the Eight Gates, Night Guy, struck Jinin Akebino.

Might Duy kicked Jinin Akebino until they slammed into a mountainside and finally stopped.

The sheer force tore a huge crater straight into the mountainside.

After the smoke cleared, Might Duy lay on the ground, charred beyond recognition.

As for Jinin Akebino, who had been kicked into the mountain—only half his body remained. His death was gruesome and pitiful.

Chinya exhaled softly.

Night Guy's overwhelming power left Chinya deeply shaken.

If he faced that attack… he wouldn't stand a chance. No way to win.

Not even dodging was possible.

The speed had completely surpassed Chinya's fastest Thunder Flash Swift Speed.

No—he'd been left far behind.

Chinya approached Might Duy. The older ninja was already dead, his body beginning to crumble into ash, drifting away like fine particles.

This was Might Duy's final dance.

Glorious, brilliant—but tragically brief.

You were truly strong, Might Duy. Konoha was blessed to have a ninja like you. Rest in peace.

As Chinya finished speaking, Might Duy completely dissolved into ashes.

...

After Chinya departed, he opened the System and received its notification.

[Witnessed Might Duy's finale. Reward: 5,000 Witness Points]

[Witnessed the death of Jinin Akebino, first user of the Blunt Sword Kabutowari. Reward: 500 Witness Points]

Fuguki Suikazan, who had been blown away after merely being grazed by the dragon-shaped aura of Night Guy, slowly stood up after lying on the ground for a long time.

Fuguki coughed up blood. "Even a graze injured me this badly. Was he really just a lowly Konoha genin? Ugh... I should leave quickly. Fighting against Konoha ninjas right now will be way too exhausting."

"There's no need to run anymore. You won't find it exhausting—you'll be relieved soon enough."

Chinya's voice echoed from directly behind Fuguki Suikazan.

The overweight ninja shuddered, turning around to face Chinya.

Chinya stared at Fuguki with cold disdain. "Your two other companions ran pretty fast. Were you too fat to keep up?"

Fuguki recognized him instantly. "You're! Crimson-Eyed Asura?!"

Startled, Fuguki immediately launched an attack.

[Hair Needle Barrage!]

He stiffened his hair into needles and launched them relentlessly at Chinya at incredible speeds, like an unending storm of sharp projectiles.

Chinya, having activated his Mangekyo Sharingan, easily dodged every strand.

With icy eyes, Chinya said, "That's right. It's me. So please die."

Fuguki's eyes burned with fury as he swung Samehada—the sword covered in backward-pointing barbs—at Chinya.

To his surprise, his strike landed squarely on target.

But…

"That's not right! It's an illusion!"

The Chinya he hit simply dispersed like mist.

Suddenly—

A sharp pain pierced the back of Fuguki's neck. The blade of a ninja sword stabbed through his throat.

Chinya's voice sounded again from directly behind him: "Too bad you didn't die from that one hit."

Fuguki Suikazan's massive body slammed onto the ground. He clutched his throat and glared at Chinya, trying to speak, but his pierced windpipe rendered him silent.

Chinya stood rooted in place, watching Fuguki Suikazan die slowly before him.

[Victim: First Generation wielder of Samehada, Fuguki Suikazan. Reward: 700 Witness Points]

Beside Fuguki's corpse, Samehada started twisting around slowly, as if trying to flee.

Chinya immediately pointed his ninja sword at Samehada.

[Thunder Breathing's Fifth Form – Heat Thunder Realm!]

A blazing surge of lightning erupted from Chinya's blade and smashed into Samehada.

Samehada violently thrashed its body, then suddenly vanished on the spot in a puff of smoke.

Chinya frowned slightly. "A summoning contract...?"

He didn't dwell on it. No matter how powerful Samehada was, it was still just a ninja sword.

Even with Samehada in his possession, Fuguki was still pathetically weak.

As for Kisame Hoshigaki in the future — to Chinya, he wasn't even worth a second glance.

Chinya threw himself back into the battle, hunting down Mist ninjas.

...

Another two months passed.

Now nearly all the Mist Ninjas in the Land of Waves had been eliminated, except for a few still hiding.

From an initial count of ninety-eight Uchiha ninjas, only around thirty remained — a devastating loss.

But the surviving Uchiha didn't dare to complain about anything.

After all, under Chinya's leadership, they had successfully captured the Land of Waves.

No one in Konoha was happier than Danzo.

Without pause, Chinya kept delivering Uchiha Sharingan eyes to Danzo — besides the previous seven pairs, five more had now arrived.

A total of twelve Sharingan pairs, including two triple tomoe Sharingan.

Collecting five pairs was already quite fortunate, because upon death, the Uchiha would destroy their own eyes first to prevent their Sharingan from falling into enemy hands.

Not long after peace settled over the Land of Waves, Chinya suddenly received an urgent summons ordering him to proceed immediately to the Land of Hot Water, bringing along the remaining Uchiha ninja.

Because Konoha had obtained critical intelligence.

The Cloud Ninja Village was making major moves — it seemed the Third Raikage himself intended to head toward the Land of Hot Water, hoping to reverse the unfavorable situation for Kumo's forces there.

Upon receiving the order, Chinya handed over affairs in the Land of Waves to Wada Nara, then set off immediately with the Uchiha ninja toward the Land of Hot Water.

Several days later.

After arriving at the Land of Hot Water, Chinya met Orochimaru immediately.

Through Orochimaru, Chinya confirmed the information.

The Third Raikage truly intended to come to the Land of Hot Water.

Because elite Cloud forces had already arrived there and launched aggressive counterattacks against Konoha ninjas.

And these were relentless attacks with no restraint.

Unprepared Konoha ninjas suffered considerable losses in a short time.

It appeared that Kumo no longer wanted to remain locked in stalemate — they intended to launch an all-out offensive on Konoha and force Iwagakure to join them in attacking the Leaf Village.

The Land of Grass ninja can't move out — they have to keep an eye on the Rock ninja's movements. Some Konoha ninja were even pulled from the battlefield in the Land of Rivers, where they were fighting the Sunagakure forces, and sent to reinforce the Land of Grass. With the situation in the Land of Waves stabilized thanks to Chinya's aggressive tactics, both Chinya and the Uchiha ninja were ordered to be transferred to the Land of Hot Water in case a major battle broke out. Chinya and Orochimaru talked over how they'd handle things if the Third Raikage actually showed up in the Land of Hot Water. The Cloud ninja just kept coming — the Konoha ninja were practically on their last legs. If the Third Raikage really did show up, they might have no choice but to pull back into the Land of Fire. They talked it through, but didn't come to any real agreement. Let's face it — when a Kage himself steps onto the battlefield, the whole mood and stakes change completely. Still, Chinya thought the Third Raikage probably wouldn't make it as far as the Land of Hot Water. If Chinya remembered right, Iwagakure was probably about to mess with Kumo behind the scenes.
