Orochimaru looked confused. "What happened?"

This was the first time Orochimaru had ever seen Chinya back out so quickly after just agreeing to accompany him to the Land of Grass for support.
Chinya replied, "Lady Mito doesn't have many days left."
Orochimaru narrowed his eyes slightly. "I see. You're worried something might happen to Kushina, right?
Though I don't think there'll be any changes regarding the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, you must still feel concerned. Even if you came to the Land of Grass with me, your mind wouldn't be at ease.
In that case, you'd better return to Konoha. The mission in the Land of Grass won't be much trouble."
Chinya bowed slightly. "Thank you, Lord Orochimaru."
Chinya really was worried things might change. He wouldn't feel reassured until he personally confirmed that the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki was no longer Kushina Uzumaki.
Additionally, he wanted to obtain Witness Points from Lady Mito.
Chinya immediately set off back toward Konoha.
While en route, he received another message from Konoha.
It was from Hiruzen Sarutobi, also instructing Chinya to return to Konoha immediately.
It seemed that even Hiruzen wasn't entirely confident, so he wanted Chinya back, hoping to use Chinya's Mangekyo Sharingan as a precaution.
When Chinya returned to Konoha, Kushina Uzumaki was already at home.
Seeing Chinya's unexpected return, Kushina was very surprised since Chinya usually announced his return through letters beforehand.
"Chinya, why did you come back suddenly?"
Chinya told Kushina, "Lady Mito's time is nearly up. It'll happen within these few days."

Hand in hand, Chinya and Kushina arrived at Mito Uzumaki's residence. Even the main entrance was now guarded by Anbu.
Chinya scanned the area with his Kenbunshoku Haki and detected another fifteen hidden Anbu near Mito's residence.
Something else also caught Chinya's attention — inside the Uzumaki residence, aside from Mito, there were two more familiar chakra signatures.
The Anbu didn't stop them when they recognized Chinya. Two masked operatives stepped aside, as if they had already anticipated his arrival with Kushina.
Chinya and Kushina entered Mito's residence and approached her bedroom door.
Chinya knocked. "Lady Mito, we've come to see you — me and Kushina."
The door opened quickly.
To Kushina's great surprise, it was Minato Namikaze who opened the door.
Kushina frowned slightly, asking, "What are you doing here?"
Minato scratched his head awkwardly. "It's you, Chinya and Kushina… I'm here with Miyuki to visit Lady Mito."
Inside the room, Miyuki Uzumaki stood waiting.
Kushina felt puzzled about why Minato would accompany Miyuki Uzumaki to visit Mito Uzumaki.
Chinya, however, appeared deep in thought.
After finding Miyuki, Chinya realized that the prophecy of the Fated Child might instead refer to her child, not Naruto.
Since Kushina was now with him, Chinya had absolutely no intention of letting his future offspring become a so-called Fated Child.
So earlier, Chinya had suspected that Miyuki's husband might be none other than Minato Namikaze.
Hearing Minato say he had accompanied Miyuki to visit Lady Mito, Chinya wasn't surprised at all — it actually felt like exactly how things should be.
Chinya and Kushina stepped into the room.
Minato naturally returned to Miyuki's side, standing close beside her. They looked quite intimate together.
Chinya was somewhat taken aback — though he had considered this possibility before, he hadn't expected their relationship to develop so quickly.
Both Chinya and Kushina turned their attention to Mito lying on the bed.
Mito appeared extremely weak now, as if barely holding onto life.
Mito turned her gaze weakly toward Chinya and Kushina, offering a faint smile. "You're here… Chinya, Kushina."
Looking at the frail and aged Mito, Kushina's eyes unconsciously filled with tears. "Grandma Mito…"
Mito comforted gently, "Don't cry, Kushina. Birth, old age, illness, and death — this is what we call 'Sheng Lao Bing Si,' the unchanging truth no one can escape."
Then Mito Uzumaki looked at Chinya. "Didn't expect Hiruzen to bring you back of all people. Although I'm very weak now, the chakra stored within [Yin Seal] will be sufficient for sealing the [Nine-Tails], the tailed beast. And you don't need to worry—this arrangement won't change anymore."
Mito Uzumaki addressed Miyuki Uzumaki. "Uzumaki Miyuki, then I'll leave this to you."
Uzumaki Miyuki nodded in agreement. "I'll become Konoha's (Hidden Leaf) Jinchuriki. Please rest assured, Lady Mito."
"Wait!" Kushina Uzumaki stared at Uzumaki Miyuki in disbelief. "Miyuki? Why? Why are you becoming the Jinchuriki? Shouldn't it be me?"
Uzumaki Miyuki, Minato Namikaze, and Mito Uzumaki all instinctively glanced toward Chinya.
Kushina finally understood what Chinya had meant earlier when he said, "I succeeded" before he left home.
