Chapter 286 - Chapter 286: Separation

Chinya gave Uzumaki Miyuki three choices, hoping she would make a decision among them.

The choices Chinya offered felt unbearable to Uzumaki Miyuki—each one cruel and impossible.

Tears streamed down Miyuki's face. "Isn't there... isn't there any other way?"

Seeing her best friend Miyuki crying, Kushina Uzumaki felt heartbroken too.

Chinya sighed. "Alright then, Miyuki. Try taking Naruto and leaving first, and see how Konoha will respond. If you can take Naruto out of the Land of Fire, I'll protect both your safety no matter what happens afterward.

But if you fail, you leave Naruto behind in Konoha. Members of my organization will help you escape, and while I remain in Konoha, I'll take care of Naruto and train him myself. When the time is right, I'll let him know about your existence."

This was all Chinya could do—there was no more he could give.

Deep down, Chinya doubted that Miyuki could ever escape the Land of Fire with Naruto. But if she somehow did, he'd keep his word—though having the Fated Child with them would surely bring endless trouble.

After all, it was the consequence of Chinya messing with Miyuki's fate.

Miyuki stared down at Naruto cradled in her arms, eyes brimming with sorrow.

In her comforting embrace, Naruto had already drifted into a deep sleep.

After gazing at him for a while, Miyuki finally steeled her resolve. "Chinya, I'm already extremely grateful that you're willing to help. Taking Naruto with me to leave Konoha and join your organization would bring endless troubles upon you and your group.

If Naruto and I stay in Konoha, his position there will become extremely precarious. I cannot guarantee his growth.

If my departure could at least give Naruto a slightly better chance to grow, then I choose to go."

"Chinya... You've already helped me more than enough," she said, voice trembling. "But please, promise me one last thing. Watch over Naruto after I leave, and when the time is right, let Naruto know who his mother was. Let him know his mama loved him—truly, deeply loved him—and that she never abandoned him."

Tears streamed down her face as she spoke, each drop falling softly like rain.

"I will," Chinya promised. "So Miyuki, when do you plan to leave Konoha?"

Miyuki sobbed. "You decide. I don't have the courage to say the day out loud."

Chinya nodded. "Okay, I'll notify you once I'm ready."

Uzumaki Miyuki left, holding Naruto tightly, looking completely lost and broken-hearted.

Kushina pouted, her voice choked with emotion. "Chinya, I don't want to be separated from Uzumaki Sōnagi."

Imagining herself in Miyuki's place, the mere thought of being separated from Uzumaki Sōnagi brought her excruciating pain.

Helplessly, Chinya ruffled Kushina's hair and comforted her. "Don't worry. With me around, no one will ever tear you two apart."

After taking a shaky breath to steady herself, Kushina asked, "Then Chinya, when are you planning to help Miyuki leave?"

Chinya answered, "As soon as possible. Right now, ninja from other villages are watching Konoha from outside. This is the perfect opportunity. After Miyuki leaves, Konoha won't send out a large-scale pursuit party to avoid alerting the watchers about the Jinchuriki's defection. I'll have Yahiko and others provide backup then.

Besides, we're still in Konoha. During this time we can keep an eye on Naruto, so you can count on us."

Chinya summoned Yahiko and his companions through the Ring to the Land of Fire.

...

The days passed one by one.

Uzumaki Miyuki stayed by Naruto's side every moment without leaving, since after her departure, it would be a long time before she saw Naruto again.

Uzumaki Miyuki felt extremely reluctant deep down, and with each passing day this feeling intensified. She had already begun regretting her decision.

On the night of the eighth day.

A snake slithered through the window into Uzumaki Miyuki's home.

Seeing the snake, Uzumaki Miyuki realized it was time to leave.

The snake transformed into Chinya's form.

Chinya told Uzumaki Miyuki, "Miyuki, it's time. My people are already waiting for you outside Konoha. I've taken out all the Anbu monitoring you."

Uzumaki Miyuki caressed Naruto's cheek unwillingly. She felt reluctant, and she really wanted to change her mind.

Yet when thinking about Naruto's future...

Uzumaki Miyuki took a deep breath and said decisively, "Let's go."

Chinya handed Uzumaki Miyuki a mask and put one on himself as he spoke, "Put it on."

Uzumaki Miyuki wore the mask.

Chinya activated Kenbunshoku Haki and led Uzumaki Miyuki across the rooftops of Konoha.

Chinya and Uzumaki Miyuki slipped out of Konoha's gates unnoticed.

Chinya and Uzumaki Miyuki quickly moved toward where Yahiko and the others waited.

Meanwhile, Konoha noticed something was wrong because all the Anbu monitoring Uzumaki Miyuki were found unconscious, and further investigation revealed that inside Miyuki's residence only Naruto remained—there was no sign of Uzumaki Miyuki.

Upon receiving this report, Hiruzen Sarutobi immediately dispatched guards to protect Naruto while launching a search operation throughout Konoha for Uzumaki Miyuki.

But the information they received confirmed one thing—they couldn't find her at all.

Hiruzen was deeply anxious and speculated whether enemy ninjas had infiltrated and captured Uzumaki Miyuki; however, the village's barrier remained intact.

Hiruzen immediately ordered Inuzuka Clan, Aburame Clan, Hyuga Clan and elite Anbu ninja to start tracking her while specifically instructing them not to let foreign ninja watching Konoha know that the Jinchuriki had gone missing.

At this point, Chinya and Uzumaki Miyuki had already joined up with Yahiko, Pakura, and Raiga Kurosuki.

Chinya introduced to Miyuki, "This is our organization's vice leader."

Yahiko greeted her: "Welcome to Xiao organization. I am Yahiko, the vice leader of Xiao organization."

Chinya continued introducing, "This is Pakura, and this is Raiga Kurosuki."

Pakura and Raiga Kurosuki nodded slightly at Uzumaki Miyuki as a greeting.

Chinya addressed Yahiko, Pakura, and Raiga Kurosuki, "This is Uzumaki Miyuki from the Uzumaki Clan. She specializes in Sealing Technique. Miyuki's sealing skills are top-tier in the Shinobi World, and she has an exceptional sensor ability as well. She'll need a guide for now — all of you, especially Daiki, should look after her."

Yahiko, Pakura, and Raiga Kurosuki looked at Uzumaki Miyuki with surprise.

They'd heard of the Uzumaki Sealing Technique before. This one's clearly not your average recruit.

But then again, it makes sense. Only someone special could make it into this group.

Just as Chinya was about to speak again, he suddenly stopped.

Uzumaki Miyuki also sensed it through her Mind's Eye of the Kagura and worriedly said, "They're here!"

Chinya muttered, "Just as I thought... only ten have arrived. Two of them are dogs..."
