Chapter 57 - Chapter 55: Thunder's Roar ( II )

Chapter 55

The area was engulfed in a heavy silence, broken only by the eerie howling of the wind—cold gusts carrying specks of dust as if whispering the echoes of battle. On the ground, the headless corpse of Phantom Onoko Borna lay motionless—a gruesome sight that embodied the brutality of the moment.

At the center of this chilling scene stood Sbyam, his calm expression starkly contrasting the chaos surrounding him. His serious gaze cut through the silence like a blade. In front of him, Spailo and Golobet stood frozen, their figures resembling statues carved by sheer shock.

Golobet muttered, his trembling voice a mix of horror and disbelief:

"Is he... is Raizo dead?! Did he really die?!"

Before the words could fully disperse into the air, Spailo vanished—like another ghost. A mere flicker, darting past Golobet, heading straight for Sbyam at the speed of light.

Scarlet sparks ignited like fire as Spailo's fist, charged with immense energy, aimed straight for Sbyam. Yet, with a serene movement—resembling someone tilting their head in quiet contemplation—Sbyam effortlessly evaded the strike. Spailo's speed left him no room to halt his momentum, so he launched a powerful kick toward Sbyam's ribs.

A massive explosion followed, unleashing a shockwave that tore through the ground beneath them. The wind spiraled into a frenzied storm, lifting shards of rock as if dancing in rage. Yet, despite the force behind Spailo's kick, it collided with Sbyam's body—reinforced by the Immortal Mountain technique—without leaving a single mark.

With a deadly calmness, Sbyam raised a single finger toward Spailo and murmured:

"Little Kurmo."

A tiny black spark—seemingly ordinary—shot forth from his fingertip. It moved with an unsettling slowness, yet its essence carried unimaginable destruction.

Spailo vanished from sight in an instant, leaving the spark to continue its path toward the ground.

The moment it made contact, a thunderous explosion erupted, shattering the earth and sending debris flying in all directions. The storm intensified, turning into a raging force that carried razor-sharp fragments like arrows of death.

From a distance, Golobet stood frozen, his eyes locked onto the scene in sheer terror. Thoughts flooded his mind like an unstoppable tide:

"Everyone said he was the strongest… but I never imagined he was this powerful!"

Spailo, despite his shock, moved as fast as lightning. He pointed a finger at Sbyam, releasing a razor-sharp air blade that sliced through the latter's skin at his neck. The wound was deep, and Sbyam's blood gushed out like a crimson fountain, painting streaks across his unyielding body.

For a brief moment, Spailo hesitated, his mind racing:

"What? Why didn't he use his technique?! Or… can't he?!"

A smirk crept onto his lips before he disappeared again, reappearing right in front of Sbyam and launching a direct kick at his face.

BOOM!!

The impact roared like thunder. Sbyam was sent flying, tumbling through the air like a weightless doll before crashing violently into the ground. His body bounced several times before finally coming to rest on his back, his gaze fixed on the sky.

Spailo stood in place, his grin widening as realization set in:

"Yes... I don't know why, but he can't use his technique right now. It doesn't matter! This works in my favor!"

Not far away, Sbyam remained on the ground, his unfocused eyes locked on the sky while a storm of thoughts clashed within him:

"My energy is depleting fast… Even though the Kurmo technique is powerful enough to surpass all other clan techniques in battle, it drains me too quickly. It's not suited for prolonged fights!"

Meanwhile, the remnants of Phantom Onoko's body disintegrated into the wind, leaving behind Raizo, lying motionless on the ground.

Spailo's eyes widened at the sight before he took a step forward, his gaze fixed on Raizo—who was slowly rising, his face smeared with blood. Spailo scoffed, his voice laced with mockery:

"Raizo? … You were on the verge of death, weren't you?"

Raizo lifted his head, his tone weary yet unwavering:

"It was closer than I expected… but I'm not ready to leave just yet."

Before Spailo could reply, Golobet suddenly appeared beside them, utilizing teleportation. His eyes locked onto Sbyam, who stood a short distance away, calmly dusting off his clothes.

Raizo pointed cautiously, his gaze never leaving his opponent:

"That man… He's stronger than I ever imagined."

Spailo let out a loud, mocking laugh:

"You just realized that now? What a brilliant discovery!"

However, their conversation abruptly ceased when Sbyam raised his right hand. A strange violet light began to glow from the tips of his fingers, as if he were summoning supernatural forces. He spoke with a confident tone, laced with mockery:

"Spacetime Tear."

Before the three could fully process his words, Sbyam unleashed a massive violet spark. The spark advanced like a beast, melting the ground in its path, while the winds around it raged violently like a merciless tornado. Golobet staggered back in terror, while Spailo and Raiso prepared for a confrontation.

But suddenly, the three of them vanished from their positions using teleportation techniques, leaving the massive spark to continue its path, destroying the remnants of the city of Beura.

They reappeared in a new location, and Spailo commented sarcastically:

"Is this the best you've got, Master? It was futile."

Yet Sbyam showed no sign of distress. Instead, he smiled calmly, and his eyes glowed with frightening black sparks. He responded mockingly:

"Futile?! What happened just now was only a prelude... It's the initial distraction."

A look of astonishment appeared on Raizo and Spailo's faces as Raizo glanced at the black sparks flickering in Sbyam's eyes. He muttered anxiously:

"Will he do his Realm?"

At the same moment, both Sbyam and Spailo spoke simultaneously, as if they knew exactly what was about to happen:

Sbyam:

"Realm Expansion: The Kurmo Realm."

Spailo:

"Realm Expansion: The Unlimited Realm "

Two colossal barriers of energy extended out, the first being a brilliant white representing the Realm of Kurmo, and the second a deep dark black representing the Realm of the Unlimited. At the point of intersection between the Realms, space itself warped with strange colors and cosmic scenes beyond description.

Both advanced toward each other with lightning speed, rushing toward the point of intersection. They both raised their palms toward each other, and red and black sparks danced between them. They hurled the sparks toward one another until they collided violently in loud explosions. Smoke billowed like dense clouds, but Sbyam emerged from it like lightning, heading straight toward Spailo, delivering a powerful punch wrapped in a deadly black spark.

Spailo was sent flying out of the intersection zone, landing in his own Realm of the Unlimited. There, the floating shards intersected randomly as Sbyam swiftly entered the realm of the Unlimited, with the random shards trying to slice him, but barely scratching his body. Spailo muttered in astonishment while watching Sbyam enter his Realm without hesitation:

"He entered my Realm? He's... insane!"

But before he could comprehend the shock, Sbyam was right in front of him. With an immense force, Sbyam kicked Spailo out of his Realm, leaving him shattered outside the barrier. Spailo crashed to the ground, lying motionless, but Sbyam didn't give him a chance to catch his breath. He followed, landing a punch to his stomach with a fist encased in a black spark.

The ground cracked beneath Spailo, turning into a massive crater from the force of the strike. In the next instant, Sbyam floated in the sky and lowered his finger, pointing it at the motionless Spailo. He spoke in a decisive tone:

"Spacetime Tear!"

A massive violet beam erupted from his finger, filling the sky like a hungry beast. The dazzling light reflected off Spailo's face, which remained stunned and helpless in the face of this devastating attack…

At the Edge of the Unlimited Realm Barrier

Golobet held onto Raizo, who had barely regained consciousness after being thrown out of the barrier. His eyes were wide with terror as he watched the massive violet spark tear through the sky like a deadly laser, descending toward the earth where Spailo lay. Golobet muttered in a trembling voice:

"What in the world is that?!"

Raizo gazed at the spark with a grave expression, his eyes reflecting the certainty of failure. He murmured, his voice heavy with regret:

"Golobet... it's over."

Golobet turned to him, his face a mixture of awe and disbelief. His voice shook as he asked:

"What do you mean?!"

Raizo replied firmly, though sorrow lingered in his tone:

"We've failed. We were no match for him. Facing the strongest was a mistake... There's no point in staying here. We need to return home before things get worse."

Golobet hesitated, his gaze shifting between Raizo and the glowing spark that grew ever closer to the ground. Finally, he stammered:

"But... Raizo..."

Raizo cut him off sharply:

"There's nothing we can do. It's over for us here."

---

Deep within the crater where Spailo lay

Spailo slowly opened his eyes, his gaze locking onto the massive spark descending toward him. Pure fear washed over his face as he tried to move, but his exhausted body refused to respond. He muttered weakly,

"No... this can't be..."

Before he could take another step, the colossal spark struck him like a raging storm. It consumed him entirely, his body vanishing within its violet radiance, leaving only his final scream to be swallowed by the echoes of the explosion.

---

The spark continued its course after obliterating its target, piercing through the earth like a legendary spear splitting time and space itself. In one terrifying instant, a massive explosion erupted, setting the sky ablaze with a dim yet overwhelming glow—one that spread across the entirety of Kaisima.

The eerie light dominated everything, eerily silent, yet carrying the undeniable weight of unstoppable destruction. The whole world felt the gravity of this event, as if something monumental had irreversibly changed.
