Chapter 264 - Relic of Plants

The next morning, the group packed up their small camp, still marveling at the soft glow of the subterranean forest. As they moved forward, the moss beneath their feet seemed to pulse gently, almost as if it recognized their presence. Tiny flickers of movement hinted at creatures hidden within the foliage, moss blending perfectly with their shapes.

Lira led the way, senses alert, as the others followed. Occasionally, a whisper of wind, a shimmer of light, or a barely perceptible rustle guided them. Slowly, shapes began to emerge from the moss—tall, thin figures, their forms vaguely humanoid but constructed entirely of living moss and vines. Their eyes glowed faintly with green light. They spoke in soft, murmuring voices that resonated like the rustle of leaves.
