Renkai, Thalanir, and Serelyth watched silently, awed by the merging spectacle. Even Serelyth's dragon eyes reflected the golden glow, wide and bright, as if she, too, understood the depth of what was happening.
Minutes passed, or perhaps hours — time was uncertain in the Lumari domain — until at last the Ember glowed softly, steady and harmonized. The crystals around them dimmed to a gentle pulse, and the Ember floated, now larger, more radiant, suspended above the circle. It seemed to breathe in its new form, a perfect fusion of flame and light.
"You have succeeded," the Lumari leader whispered. "The Ember now carries both fire and calm. You may return with it to your Grove. But remember — its energy will grow with your care. It will teach those who respect it, but punish none who misuse it."
Lira bowed deeply. "I understand. I will protect it, and I will teach with it."
