When Yohan entered his room, his eyes immediately caught the Wellness Technique Guide sitting on his table.
"What's this doing out here?" he muttered.
He was certain he had hidden the book perfectly inside his box.
'Did Cassie move it?'
He picked up the book and flipped through the pages. Nothing seemed different — the same mystic wellness mixtures, herbal oils, and anatomical diagrams filled its pages.
He frowned and went to check the box. Everything was exactly as he left it. The clothes he'd used to conceal the book hadn't been disturbed, not even slightly.
If Cassie had taken it out, she hadn't done anything else. Still, the thought unsettled him.
He slipped the book into a new hiding spot — wedged between the bed and the frame — and sat down, staring at it for a moment before letting out a quiet sigh.
He went to bed, and after what felt like only a short while, morning had already come.
