Yohan drove straight to the loan shark's office. He needed to hand over what he'd gathered so they could verify it.
"I tried my best, but I couldn't get anything useful out of Roman — only stuff about the girl and that ledger," he murmured as he stepped inside.
"We did some digging while you were gone," the man behind the desk said, sliding a folder across. "We found a little about the girl."
"You did? That's great." Yohan leaned forward, hopeful.
"Not much," the man admitted. "Hatoru's careful. He changed the name she used to apply for college so she's practically untraceable."
Yohan frowned. The folder opened with a soft rustle. "Even the pictures I managed to grab are from before school," the man continued, pulling out a handful of photos and pushing them toward Yohan. "My people say she looks very different now."
"Wait…" Yohan studied the pictures for more than a few seconds. It took a while because the girl in the photo had a different hair color and was younger.
