"Yohan, do you really have to leave right now? It's already so late," Vivian said, her voice laced with concern as she walked him to the front door.
She had helped him get dressed and pack a few clothes, so a small bag now hung from his shoulder.
"Yes. It's the only time I'm sure Hatoru's men aren't watching me," he said. "Don't worry too much—I'll take him down and be back before you know it."
He tried to sound confident, hoping to ease her worry, but the cast on his arm made it hard for her to believe him.
"So where will you go?" she asked softly.
"I'm not sure yet," he admitted. "Somewhere I can disappear for a while but it would still be within the city since I'll still need to be making certain moves,"
"What do you plan to do?" She leaned in, brushing his face gently, "You shouldn't do anything too dangerous,"
"I'll be careful, take care of yourself while I'm gone," he gave her a small hug but Vivian held him tightly.
