They spoke aloud,not worrying about being heard or not since there were Noone else except for them and some teachers in the school.
This area was really an outlooked part of the Academy where few students ever set foot.
Sillias and Catalina learned of its existence through Stella and Derek.
Never have they thought that its use will be drifted from an intended supposed peaceful lunch area to whatever this was tuning into now.

Each of them had an idea of their own and could not agreed themselves to grasp and compell to the others point of views.
Meaning they were stuck on declining and throwing away any rational or irrational supposition like old socks.
Nonetheless at some point they all settled on..
Scarlett first supposition of having been thrown into some kind of spiritual world or maybe...somewhere farther in time where things were...have been..or would go hectic.
They were not sure at all on this part..or where they were even going and if this was even the right direction,maybe they were on the wrong path..but this was the only thing's that they could atleast hope to be...it was better than the other really plausible negative option that stood...of being drugged or intoxicated...but the crystals being here..reasured them in some way that there was no way for it to be that.
"So what's should we do then..?";asked Catalina

"Maybe...we should try to understand those crystals."replied sillias to her in a high tone.
They're then placed all of the crystals together forming a round shape.
..
That's when they noticed a details that completely escaped them earlier.
The crystals main color...were symbolizing their ability-
Indigo White,Dark Red,Cyan,Violet,Aquatic blue,Magenta,Grayish blue,Light purple,Light Teal,charcoal black and green.
Each of those crystals had atleast one distinct main color that differences them apart.
They also had gradients and glint of other colors...but for now what they understood was that this little details was the most important one in the end...this was no hazard..
That each one of their crystals each harbored the exact color of their respective ability and so matching them.

"Do you think we're connected to those...crystals?"Asked Thomas Fritz Herrick.

It was a real waste considering that his normal face should be pretty attractive but considering his habit of working to exhaustion..the time of seeing his normal and not exhausted to death face was not to be seen in any soon futur.
He also had fair and healthy skin and soft dark grey and shiny hair.

"Maybe...no..it's certain-
We're connected somehow to those crystals!"
exclaimed Sillias with confidence and conviction.

Even though their faces tried to deny it,their heart couldn't...and already accepted the truth as it was.

But there was still a question lingering on their mind like two puzzles pieces having to be put together-
Which could then be fusioned to create another piece of puzzles that will be added finally at last to solve the whole puzzle that contained no less and no more than two hundred millions pieces.
If there was even one missing it would left a gap in the the supposed puzzle.
"..SOoo..what do they do?"questioned Catalina.
"Like what are their effects..or are they just ordinary crystals with a strange linkage to us?"she added with an ironical and yet quite enigmatic face,all in a tone of seriousness and hopefulness.
She feared the outcome to be fruitless..and for them to be just simples decorative artifacts-
Which would be quite a disappointment and a misleading and ridiculous jokes moreover when you know very well where and what's it's source was and with how much great difficulty it was unintentionally obtained.
They could little imagine how cruel of a punishment it would be for them if it turned out indeed ordinary...bringing no whatsoever beneficent changes to their live.

They grabbed back all and each of their crystals from the ground and analyzed them meticulously.
Even those careful action became useless in the end.
Excepted for their pretty colors and sparkly glints,they were plainly and absurdly normal even quite ordinary...those crystals were the incarnation of banality..and seemed to be only pretty for the eyes to admire-
"AHH-..for the love of the crown ...this can't have been all useless.."Thought Sillias to herself while scratching the back of her head.

Those crystals were somehow the only remains left by twelve really pecular specific Nondead..
The other thousands disappeared leaving nothings behind but those who were following them left crystals behind..
Sillias started to question it...what if it was intended...like really intended for them to find and take them.

The spiritual voyage Scarlett mentioned...what if it wasn't an accident of simple hazard...what if someone wanted them to be there and act in a certain way..
What if they were puppets being played on a stage-
Acting to the will of the puppeteer wish.

Thinking of that make her stomach twist..and almost make her throwed up..
Painful and engrossing memories she's been desperately trying to forget suddenly came back to the surface...while a million of thought invaded all of her beings.

"Sillias...are you okay?"asked Catalina in a low tone showing worriness in her voice.
.."I'm okay...just..probably the weather...I'm quite sensible to the atmosphere change."

Catalina was going to back off before a thought hit her..she leaned to sillias and murmured in her ears..
"What about..You're moon cycle-"
She was stopped in the middle of finishing her sentence by sillias who was worried that the others might hear her.
"Shhhh-"

"Sorry."she added in a teasing tone which in truth hidden beneath it..was a need of taking care of her best friend like she should.
.. but she sadly couldn't do anything.
"So close to each other and yet so far from one another" Thought Catalina in a pitiful overdramatic tone-

"Alright let's get back to the dorms."exclaimed Alicia,her hair flowing messily in her face as the breezes density rose fast like in the blink of an eye.

"Lets get back."said sillias in a cold and vague tone which surprised all of them.
..
Still like always,like a common habitude for them.. they didn't disagree or respond back to her..they just...followed her word like an order even though from sillias point of view..she meant it only as an advice for them to be cautious and get back to their rooms since she had a weird feeling like it was about to pour violently and harshly litres and litres of water.
..so they all went back to their dorms and...just like sillias predicted it..
The sky was covered with dark clouds and rains poured from them like baby like tears falling in a misbehaving moment of confusion and insomnia..because that night all of them couldn't even close one eye before morning set up the next day.
It was not due to the heavy rain showering way too violently against the branches of the trees nearby or..the sound of droplets of water falling and hitting hardly onto the transparent colored
windows of the dorms that kept them awake..no it was no external but rather internal noises,way too loud to be suppressed it kept bothering them all nights-
...
It was not until late two in the the morning that they finally found sleeps in peace..
That's when the crystals actually reacted and started to glow..along with their the tips of their hair...but then it just stopped when they woke up.

They all entered class together early in the morning...with faces that harbored tiredness.
Their teachers were worried at first but then guessed that it was probably just studies that kept them from resting.
..
Nonetheless...this feeling of being drained from their energy was way too strange for them..way too strange.
It felt like someone or something...was slowly aspiring their vital energy and mana source.
...
When they saw the twelve crystals for the first time they thought it'll turn soon into a blessing...then in the earlier part of this chapter...doupted that those might just be normal crystals with zero special effects and benefits,apart of there outsiding look of course-
But...what if it was nothing more than a curse..which could soon turn their life upside down like a bowl of rice being thrown to the ground.
Only time was going to answer their questions,and the event they were soon going to face were no more or less the wish befitting the value of their hearts.
...
So then..maybe their future was already sealed from the start...but like a change of heart,they changed their destiny.
Fate was no longer so certain.
