Chapter 175 - Chapter 175: Escape

Dante rubbed his eyes, then looked at the screen of his personal terminal again…

It was Coulson's big face.

"Holy crap! Are you going to scare me to death with your big forehead, Baldy?"

"Dante, if you call me 'Baldy' again, I will absolutely explode on you!"

Coulson in the terminal rolled his eyes, then continued.

"I will send all the on-site information to your personal terminal in a moment."

With that, Coulson disconnected.

Dante exhaled deeply.

That pale face… he definitely didn't see it wrong.

It was Joker.

When Carnage meets Joker…

One is the most cunning and brutal among the Symbiotes, and the other is the craziest one even among Gotham's collection of psychopaths.

The two of them getting together, it's really a TNND mutual attraction.

Combined with the newspaper Jefferson found from the future…

"Damn it, Joker is going after Harley!"

Dante gritted his teeth, that green-haired bastard…

"Dante, don't be impulsive." Captain Carter suddenly pressed Dante's shoulder. "An opponent like Joker is absolutely not someone you can deal with when you're hot-headed. Calm down first."

Dante took several deep breaths before he managed to calm down.

Captain Carter nodded. The young Dante was indeed different from the middle-aged version.

He listens to advice.

"We don't even know the exact locations of Carnage and Joker right now, so even if we wanted to find him for a humane extermination, we couldn't."

Captain Carter's words struck a chord with Dante.

The most urgent task now is to find this bastard first.

Dante slapped his forehead.

Damn it.

What's the use of me thinking wildly here?

Go find Batman.

If anyone in the world understands Joker best, it must be Batman.

Bruce Wayne had just returned home from the Wayne Group building.

Today was the day for the regular shareholders' meeting.

Although it was just a formality, as the largest shareholder and actual controller of Wayne Group, he definitely had to meet the shareholders.

But once they met, there would be no avoiding drinks.

However, the drinking capacity of a bunch of old guys was, at most, enough to make him slightly tipsy.

Bruce Wayne leaned back on the sofa, loosened his tie, and let out a long breath.

"Alfred? Could you get me a bottle of water from the fridge, please? Thank you."

Not long after he finished speaking, a hand handed him a bottle of mineral water that looked expensive.

Bruce Wayne glanced out of the corner of his eye, immediately grabbed the hand, and prepared to subdue the other party…

But it didn't budge.

He turned his head and saw Alfred shrugging at him from not far away, and Dante with a mischievous smile.

"Don't be like that, Bruce, I'm getting you water, and you're trying to subdue me?"

"Who told you to not say anything with Alfred? I thought… something happened."

Bruce Wayne pouted, shook off Dante's hand, then took the mineral water and drank it all.

After hydrating, the slightly tipsy feeling immediately began to recede.

"Young Master Bruce, it's not my fault, Young Master Dante has something to discuss with you."

Alfred pointed to the ground.

"It's about what's down below."

Bruce Wayne immediately looked at Dante's face, and seeing no hint of a smile in Dante's eyes, he knew that something serious had truly happened this time.

So he stood up without hesitation and operated the mechanism in front of Dante.

A passage opened on the ground.

"Tsk tsk tsk, Bruce, if your sister-in-law knew you were using her statue as the mechanism to open the Batcave, what do you think would happen?"

"Dante, you don't need to sow discord, she already found out about this."

Bruce Wayne finished speaking and walked down on his own.

"Young Master Dante, he's just being stubborn." Alfred said with a smile. "Anyone with eyes knows that he loves her so much, he wishes every single thing around him had Miss Selina's mark."

Dante pouted.

Isn't this just a love-struck fool?

At this moment, Dante temporarily and selectively forgot why he had come to find Bruce Wayne.

Following behind Bruce Wayne, Dante and Alfred also entered the Batcave.

"Alright, Dante, what happened this time that made you come to me personally… Did another Storybrooke Town-like place pop up in America?"

Bruce Wayne turned around and asked.

But Dante only shook his head, then took out his Federal Bureau of Investigation personal terminal.

"You should look at this first."

With that, he pulled up the on-site surveillance footage that Coulson had just packaged and sent over.

Bruce Wayne took the terminal, initially calm. Although the scene was very bloody, it was still within his tolerance.

But when Carnage, with the green hair, turned around, Bruce Wayne indeed had the same reaction as Dante.

"When did this… happen?"

"This surveillance was found today in a villa in Los Angeles, and the filming date was yesterday."

"But this… impossible, right?"

"Nothing's impossible, Bruce." Dante pressed Bruce Wayne's shoulder. "The Joker's body I asked you to keep an eye on… where is it?"

Bruce Wayne immediately stood up, didn't speak, and headed straight for the lowest level of the Batcave.

Dante and Alfred exchanged glances, then followed him down.

After a burst of machine activation noise, a metal coffin made entirely of nano-alloy appeared before their eyes.

After slowly opening, Joker's body, soaked in some kind of preservative liquid, was displayed before the three of them.

Dante frowned.

"Holy crap, you actually collected it?"

"If you can't speak properly, don't speak. This is a restraint cage I specially made. Even if he revives, he will be drowned again and again because he cannot escape. Forever sinking between life and death."

Dante listened to Bruce Wayne's narration, then leaned closer to observe.

"Has he revived already?"

"More than once." Bruce Wayne glanced at the detection device beside him. "To be precise, twenty-six times."

Dante operated the monitoring device a few times, pulling up the detailed log.

"But the last revival was ten days ago, and there has been no revival reaction since then."

Alfred, however, kept staring at Joker, then pointed with his hand.

"Look closely, isn't this body a bit too…"

"Too soft?"

Dante and Bruce Wayne exchanged glances, then immediately removed the bulletproof glass container inside the metal cage.

"Splash—"

As the preservative flowed out, Bruce Wayne directly reached his hand toward Joker's face…

With a "plop," it went straight through.

Dante's face turned ashen.

This…
