Chapter 62 - Ch62: Breakfast

The morning sun slipped gently through the curtains. Kakashi slowly opened his eyes and felt the warmth on both sides of him.

On his left, Kurenai rested peacefully, her breathing soft and steady. On his right, Anko was tangled in the blanket, one leg thrown over him like always. Kakashi smiled faintly.

They looked peaceful despite what they did last night. He carefully shifted, moving Anko's leg without waking her, and slid out of the bed.

He took a moment to look at them again before heading to the bathroom. His hair was a mess, but that was normal. He brushed his teeth quietly, splashing water on his face.

"Alright… another day," he said to his reflection.

He headed out to the kitchen, expecting to be the first one up. But he paused at the doorway. Sakura was already there, wearing a pink apron, and was humming a soft tune while cooking. The scent of eggs, miso soup, grilled fish, and rice filled the air.

"You're up early." Kakashi blinked. Not expecting Sakura to be up so early.

"Good morning, Kakashi-sensei! I thought I'd make breakfast for everyone!" Sakura turned, smiling brightly.

He walked over and looked at the table. It was loaded with food.

"This is… impressive," he said.

"Thank you. I figured we could all use a good start." Sakura smiled again, a little proud.

Kakashi looked toward the hallway.

"Make sure to leave some for Anko and Kurenai. They're still sleeping."

"Already done. I made them their own trays and covered them." Sakura nodded.

"You're going to make a great shinobi and house leader someday." Kakashi gave a small laugh.

A few minutes passed, and then the sound of soft footsteps echoed through the hall. Sasuke entered the kitchen, his usual serious face in place.

Ranmaru followed behind him.

"Morning," Said Sasuke in a simple tone.

"Morning," Said Ranmaru trying to look serious like Sasuke.

"Morning, Sasuke, Ranmaru," Kakashi replied, giving a small laugh at Ranmaru's fanboy look towards Sasuke.

"Breakfast's ready. But before you sit, go wake up the idiot. His snoring's louder than a summoning jutsu." He said to Sasuke. It was really loud, as it could be heard all the way to the kitchen.

"Tch. Why do I have to?" Sasuke smirked just a little and turned around.

"Because he's your teammate," Kakashi said casually. "Besides, if I do it, I'll use a jutsu, a dangerous one."

He hadn't used the one thousand years of death on Naruto like his canon self, but if he goes to wake him, he could.

Sasuke walked down the hallway. As he opened the door to Naruto's room, the snoring hit him full force.

"Naruto." He scowled.

No response.

He walked over and nudged the bed with his foot.

"Get up."

Naruto mumbled something about ramen and turned the other way.

"Fine." Sasuke sighed.

Without another word, he grabbed the edge of the blanket and flipped Naruto off the bed.

"Waaah- WHAT?!" Naruto yelled as he crashed to the floor. "I'M UNDER ATTACK!"

He scrambled up, hair a mess, rubbing his face.

"You're late for breakfast, moron." Sasuke crossed his arms and said.

"Huh? Oh. Food?" Naruto who was still in a daze, blinked multiple times.

Then he was up in a flash and rushed to the bathroom, brushing his teeth quickly while still half-asleep. Then he bolted into the kitchen, mouth still a little foamy.

"I smell grilled fish!"

"You could've washed properly." Kakashi raised an eyebrow.

Naruto flopped down at the table anyway, grabbing a rice ball. "Morning!" he grinned.

"Eat slowly, or you'll choke," Sakura said as she handed him a plate.

Naruto ignored her and stuffed his mouth full. "Ish sho gooood-"

Sasuke sat across from him, quiet but eating calmly. Kakashi sipped some tea while keeping an eye on the scene. It was peaceful and funny at the same time.

As Naruto chewed and grinned, he looked around the table.

"Hey… where's Anko-san and Kurenai-san?"

"Still asleep. They had a long night." Kakashi smirked.

Naruto blinked and looked at Kakashi, then at the hallway, not understanding what he meant.

"O-oh…" Sakura understood and her face turned bright red.

While Sasuke was on the side, he just coughed and ate his breakfast.

While Ranmaru was confused like Naruto.

Naruto looked at their reactions with a puzzled expression, but soon he ignored it and started devouring the food in front of him.

Kakashi looked at them with amusement and started eating his breakfast.

As they were eating Kurenai and Anko got up and came to the table.

"Good morning everyone," Kurenai said with sleepy eyes as she caressed her throat.

As she sat down next to Kakashi she gave him a charming glance while taking the breakfast that Sakura had given her.

"Good Morning," Kakashi said as he looked at her throat and gave her a smirk.

Kurenai saw his smirk and gave him a strong pinch on his waist. This guy used their throat yesterday as he pleased.

"Morning, my dear," Anko said as she came to Kakashi's side gave him a kiss on his neck, and sat on his empty side.

"Morning, Anko Did you have a good night?" Kakashi smirked as he discreetly slid his hand on her thighs and gave it a squeeze.

"I did," Anko said with a satisfied smile on her face. She loved it when he treated her like that.

"Stop it you too!" Kurenai whispered. She didn't want the scene to turn into something else. She knew that Anko's personality was changing because of Kakashi and she didn't want a strange scene before the children.

'So bold!' Sakura who was eating was almost steaming as she didn't expect them to be so bold and Kakashi-sensei actually had two women.

Sasuke ignored what was happening and ate his breakfast in silence.

Naruto next to Sasuke squinted his eyes as he took a vigilant stance as he protected his breakfast and ate even faster.

Anko saw Naruto's expression and gave him a chuckle and focused on her breakfast.
