Chapter 192 - Ch192: Shadow over the Fire

"Haah… you never rest, huh?" Tsunade said as she stepped into the living room, taking off her Hokage coat.

"Welcome home," Kurenai said with a smile, shifting on the couch.

"Oh, you're here too," Tsunade noted, then paused. "…And you."

"Evening, Hokage-sama."Anko looked up from Kakashi's lap and gave a lazy grin.

"Seriously, right in the living room?"Tsunade rolled her eyes.

"I'm just multitasking." And with that, she took him deeper into her mouth, her cheeks hollowing out as she sucked him hard, the slurping sounds filling the room.

"She started it," Kakashi said calmly, leaning back with a hand in Anko's hair while the other arm was wrapped behind Kurenai.

"She always starts it," Kurenai added with a smirk.

Tsunade didn't argue. She walked over and sat down across from them. "Now, about what you said in the office earlier."

"You mean about the Daimyo's son?" Kakashi's expression turned serious.

"Yeah. You said you wanted to… control the Fire Country? Care to explain that a little better?"

Anko paused for a second, then coughed. Kakashi patted her head, and she resumed her… task, ignoring the conversation.

Kurenai blinked and looked toward Tsunade, clearly just as surprised.

"I'm serious," Kakashi said. "Peace will ruin us."

"How?"Tsunade narrowed her eyes.

"When there's peace, there are no missions," Kakashi explained. "No missions, no pay. The shinobi system weakens, economy falls. And the Daimyo has no reason to fund us. In the Boru-" He caught himself, realizing that reference wouldn't make sense here. "-I've seen it happen before."

"And your solution is to… what?" Tsunade leaned forward.

"I place a loyalty seal on the Daimyo's son," Kakashi said plainly. "Then, over the next few years, we slowly insert our people into political posts across the Fire Country. Quietly. Carefully. So when the time comes, we won't ask for funding. We'll control it."

"That's a dangerous game."Tsunade's eyes widened.

"It's better than watching Konoha fade into irrelevance," he said. "I already tested this with the Orochimaru clone. The seal is stable. He obeys, thinks freely, but cannot betray."

"Isn't that going too far?"Kurenai looked between the two, hesitant.

"Maybe," Kakashi said softly. "But I've seen too many villages fall. I'm not going to let that happen to ours."

"…You're crazy."Tsunade exhaled.

"Maybe," he said with a smile.

Then Tsunade smiled back. "But I'll support you."

Anko pulled back slowly, a satisfied smile on her lips as she licked her lips, tasting him.

"World domination, huh? Starting small?"

Kakashi laughed as he patted her head"Always."

The Next Day.

"He's here," Sasuke said, appearing on a rooftop beside Kakashi.

"Good," Kakashi replied. "Follow him. Lead them to the nest."

The Daimyo's eldest son walked through Konoha with his retinue, one jonin-level guard and three chunin.

They passed through the village gates, laughing and carefree. None of them realized the subtle chakra that Sasuke had laced into the area. It was a genjutsu trap, layered across several key paths to direct their movement.

Sasuke walked calmly behind them, invisible to their senses. His Mangekyo Sharingan glowed faintly under his cloak.

Soon, the nobles were drawn toward an upscale entertainment hall. The guards hesitated briefly at the door, but the warm lights, beautiful attendants, and luxurious scents coaxed them in.

The attendants? All of Kakashi's spore clones.

They poured drinks. They laughed.

And slowly… the men grew tired. First one guard. Then the next.

Within the hour, all four were asleep, silent under Sasuke's subtle genjutsu, magnified by the alcohol.

Kakashi stepped into the private backroom.

"All set."Sasuke nodded.

"Let's go," Kakashi said.

They moved quickly, teleporting the eldest son through the flying thunder god to a dark room beneath the Hokage Mountain. A secure place that was heavily warded.

"W-Where…?"The Daimyo's son stirred, waking.

"You'll forget this," Kakashi said.

The red glow of his Sharingan lit the chamber.

The loyalty seal glowed on Kakashi's palm. A complicated spiral with silent formulae, built from the same structure as the Orochimaru clone.

The boy cried out as the seal pressed against his forehead. It burned.

Then it sank in.

The screaming stopped.

His eyes glazed over.

"Tell me your name," Kakashi said.

"T-Takejiro…"

"Who do you serve?"

"…Kakashi."Takejiro blinked.

"What is your purpose?"

"To obey you."

"Your turn. Burn it in."Kakashi looked at Sasuke.

Sasuke stepped forward and placed a hand on the boy's head. "Mangekyo: Illusion."

A black ripple passed through the seal as Sasuke poured power into it.

The boy's eyes flickered, then focused.

"Do you obey Kakashi?" Sasuke asked.

"Yes," Takejiro answered.

"It's working," Sasuke smirked.

Back at the surface, Kakashi stood on the roof, looking at the setting sun.

"He won't remember a thing. But he'll follow everything you say."Sasuke appeared beside him.

"Good," Kakashi said. "We'll wait a bit. Then plant him back."

"You're really going through with this?"

Kakashi looked down at the village.

"I don't want to rule the Fire Country," he said. "But someone has to make sure we don't collapse the moment things calm down. We can't rely on old men with fans and scrolls."

"And when they find out?"

"They won't," Kakashi said simply. "Or by the time they do, it won't matter."

"You scare me sometimes, sensei."Sasuke gave him a long look.

"Better me than someone else," Kakashi said.

He turned and walked, his cloak fluttering in the wind.
