Wearing the brooch symbolizing her identity as a witch and draped in flowing gray hair, a beauty whose glow of talent and appearance could make even the sun squint—who exactly is this youngest witch in history?
"That's right, it's me!"
Irena, the breakout dark horse, clearly had a disadvantage in figure compared to the other well-endowed contestants… at most slightly larger than Aisha.
Yet even so, this young, beautiful witch student still struck a chord with many in the audience.
No wonder Irena had a habit of narcissism. If judging only by looks and not figure, Irena, with her gray hair and blue eyes, easily ranked among the top beauties of the academy.
Irena's final vote count: 456 votes
Currently ranked second.
Nia: 470 votes
She narrowly lost to the grade-G figure of Nia by just 14 votes. While stunningly beautiful, Irena's body honestly still looked juvenile.
"Woah, not bad!"
Yet, Irena herself was quite pleased with the result.
Clearly, like Miles, Irena's goal was the Alternate Art Dark Magician Girl card.
Since her own Deck was a Dark Magician build, it made much more sense to include Dark Magician Girl than any unrelated monster.
"See, Aisha? Cuteness holds potential!"
Aisha was stunned.
She hadn't expected even Irena-senpai to get such a high vote count.
In her view, she and Irena were about even (though Irena still had a slight edge). That gave her the delusion that maybe she had a chance, too.
Aisha's heart wavered.
If she could win the Miss Campus Pageant… would Miles like her more?
Rather than just fixating on the women on cards?
"...But what should I even do? I can't just stand there, right?"
Just standing around would be too awkward… if she was going on stage, she had to at least perform some kind of talent. Like Irena earlier, who scored points with a few fancy banquet spells.
"Don't worry, Aisha, just leave it to me. I've got a secret weapon ready!"
"Secret weapon?"
With the soul no longer tugging for control, and the body entrusted to Miles, Aisha felt perfectly at ease.
That secret weapon, though...
"Miles, I got it!"
Agent No.1, dispatched by Miles—Irene Austin—came sprinting over, holding the "secret weapon."
"Ren-chan? When did you even contact her, Mr. Miles?! I had no idea!"
"Last night, after you fell asleep, I messaged her using the Beaconbug. I swear I didn't do anything weird!"
Though Miles could easily take control while Aisha slept, from day one, he had no intention of doing anything improper.
Especially now that there was a dark Aisha in the Soul Room watching over everything.
"I brought it back, Miles! This is the cosplay outfit of Laundry Dragonmaid you asked for yesterday. Sneaking into the closed club building was exhausting!"
With a look begging for praise, Irene held the same outfit Aisha had worn during the first day's High-Level Spirit Research Society event.
That message from Miles became Irene's treasured memory, one she'd clutched all night without sleep.
"Nice job, Ren! With this, we've got a real shot!"
Quickly donning the maid outfit and wig—
Aisha Yuna Carlos (Miles) launches in Lan-maid form!
Miles knew exactly what card freaks loved. And only a man understands a man best. With this double-buff combo, there was simply no way to lose!
After all, card freaks all love this kind of thing~
Lan-maid tosses a card~
Or like this~
Lan-maid finger-hearts~
Or this~
Lan-maid gives a gift~
Even a fusion move!
Performance over—Aisha Yuna Carlos, final vote count: 508 votes.
Just as Miles expected... or perhaps far beyond.
The crowd was way too fired up.
"Ohhhh! Lan-maid is too cute!"
"Lan-maid is my favorite card!"
"If possible, I want to add Lan-maid to my Deck!"
Having underestimated the audience's Laundry Dragonmaid obsession, Miles now found the result had surpassed Nia by 30 votes.
Which meant he'd get the Ritual Monster Divine Grace - Northwemko, not the Dark Magician Girl card.
Terrifying. The card freaks' kink!
Meanwhile, Irena's mood grew more complicated.
"What?! I dropped to third place?! That means I don't even get a card! Let me check what the third-place prize is… A year's supply of Spicy Red Dragon Archfiend Instant Noodles?! Who even wants that?!"
While Miles stood on stage, dismayed and wondering how to lower his vote count—
Kaima Seth, tall and clad in her signature silver-white coat, silently stepped onto the platform.
"Wait, what's going on?"
"Is Kaima entering the pageant?!"
"I thought she didn't even attend last year."
Due to the Seth family's background and her being raised as a male heir, students assumed Kaima had no interest in girly events.
However, on closer look, Kaima Seth's face and figure were undoubtedly top-tier beauty-level.
Especially paired with her identity as the Duke's daughter, her cool and proud aura made her the living image of a CEO heroine from a novel.
This character type was a surefire hit with both men and women.
"Kaima?"
Miles had no idea what Kaima was up to, but judging by her look, she indeed wasn't here to compete.
"Aisha Yuna Carlos. Just as you said yesterday, the chains of fate have been shattered."
"Wah?! That fast?"
Miles figured Kaima would never go back to submitting to Reigun after yesterday's Duel.
Still, for it to happen overnight… her decisiveness and action shocked him again.
Why did she have to say this on stage, though?
"And now, in front of everyone, I make a Duelist's vow! I'll win back the Duel I lost to you… I won't let you get away with it, Aisha!"
'Here we go again!'
Miles knew it… another strange woman had locked onto him.
Aisha shouted. "Mr. Miles, why is it that everyone who duels you, boys or girls, ends up obsessed with you? You're the one who's truly bi-targeted!"
As Aisha said this, her jealousy nearly surged out of the Millennium Puzzle.
One Duel, one new rival! One Duel, one more rival!
Who could take it anymore?!
In the Soul Room, dark Aisha's voice chimed in with the usual line—
"Scumbag!"
Kaima Seth's declaration of revenge received roaring applause.
"Winning back a Duel yourself… that's the pride of a Duelist!"
"Amazing! A revenge vow in front of everyone!"
"Master, I get it now! Even the Miss Campus Pageant should be about Dueling first!"
"Just for your Duelist pride, I'm voting for you, Kaima!"
Kaima Seth's final vote: 600 votes.
An overwhelming win.
She had no intention of competing—she only wanted to make a public declaration of her resolve after changing her path.
Yet she ended up being crowned this year's Miss of the Fusion Academy.
Miles and Aisha, now bumped to second place, successfully got the Alternate Art Dark Magician Girl card.
Miles cheered, "Kaima, good job! Very good job!"
Meanwhile, Irena was downcast even more.
"Let's see what fourth place gets… A plush bundle of the Ojama Trio?! Who would want that?!"
