The counterattack weapon "AA-ZEUS" was a weapon forged to oppose a world-ending threat, bearing the name of Zeus, the king of gods who commands thunder.
Humanity, once on the brink of extinction, had finally obtained the twelfth spear capable of slaying a god and defying fate.
Yet according to the history recorded in the cathedral murals, although prehistoric humanity created AA-ZEUS at the final moment, the power to slay a god came too late, and they ultimately failed to change the outcome of the seven-day destruction of the world.
"This time, it won't be too late—AA-ZEUS!"

In an instant, thunder exploded across the crimson sky, as if AA-ZEUS itself was responding to the determination in Miles' words.

Ever since Miles first saw the statue of Numerounius displayed in the imperial cathedral, the card of AA-ZEUS had been unable to remain still.
This was a destined battle separated by ten thousand years. The ultimate weapon of humanity, which had once sealed itself away after defeat, had finally waited for this moment.
The moment when the awakened god-slaying spear—and the warrior's soul—could once again step onto the battlefield that belonged to it.
For this reason, AA-ZEUS activated for the first time a summoning function Miles had never used before.
Zepha said in disbelief, "Rank 12… the legendary god-slaying weapon… it can actually Xyz Summon by overlaying onto an unrelated Xyz monster that doesn't even share the same Rank! How is that possible!"
Miles roared back, "Of course it's possible! This is the endpoint of Xyz Summoning—the true way [Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder] descends!"
[Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder can also be Xyz Summoned by overlaying it on top of an Xyz Monster you control if an Xyz Monster battled this turn.]
As long as your Xyz Monster had battled, you could overlay Summon it on top of an Xyz Monster on your field.
Rank 12—the pinnacle of Xyz Summoning could have many monsters. But the true endpoint of Xyz Summoning had only one—and that was AA-ZEUS!
When AA-ZEUS was Xyz Summoned in this way, it could obtain even more Xyz Materials than when summoned by stacking two Level 12 monsters.
Overlaying it on top of [Number S0: Utopic ZEXAL], which originally had three materials, the invincible [Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder] descended with four materials.
Miles raised his arm and declared, "Erase the Numeron god of destruction with humanity's greatest and final ultimate strike! Activate the effect of [Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder]!"

Even [Number C1000: Numerounius], which could have other monsters on the field destroyed in its place, had no way to resist it.

According to the chain resolution order, where later effects resolve first, AA-ZEUS's field-clearing effect would be negated by [Fiendish Chain] beforehand. And once bound by those chains, it would no longer be able to activate effects or declare attacks.
"The wrath of thunder will not stop here!"
If being bound by [Fiendish Chain] would negate its effect, then the solution was simple—counterattack before the chains could bind it.
As for that counterattack—
"I chain to [Fiendish Chain]'s effect and activate [Divine Arsenal AA-ZEUS - Sky Thunder]'s effect again!"
Detaching the final two Xyz Materials—[Number 39: Utopia Roots] and [Number S0: Utopic ZEXAL]—Miles activated AA-ZEUS's field-clearing effect twice within the same chain.
After all, there was no once-per-turn restriction. As long as materials remained, "God-Extinguishing Thunderflame" could be activated multiple times.
The final chain was formed.
God-Extinguishing Thunderflame → Fiendish Chain → God-Extinguishing Thunderflame
Before [Fiendish Chain] could bind AA-ZEUS and negate it, the second "God-Extinguishing Thunderflame" directly vaporized the black chains themselves within the lightning.
Thus, "God-Extinguishing Thunderflame" activated twice in succession, and both heaven and earth were pierced by the twin thunderflames.
