The raging summon, carrying the entire hope of saving the world, the last monster Miles used to shatter the Rank 13, 100,000 Attack Numeron God.
"I Normal Summon in Attack Position—Mokey Mokey!"
[Mokey Mokey] Level 1│LIGHT│Fairy│300 ATK
-_-?
Materialized light reflected beneath the catastrophe-stained sky. At the very top of the towering tidal wave connecting heaven and earth was a block of tofu stepping across the waves.
"OOOOOOOOOOOO!" Little Nova raised both arms toward the sky, shouting excitedly:
"We won!"
"In the end, we still have to rely on the God Mokey Mokey!" Irena could not help clenching her fists tightly as well.
Those who did not understand were still wearing baffled expressions, while those who knew what was going on had already started popping champagne to celebrate.
Especially the two from Fusion Academy, who were the most excited.
In the final turn before the world marched toward destruction, the trump card that appeared to end everything did look somewhat out of place in style.
But if one counted the gods that had been eliminated by this block of tofu, it would be almost every god-tier card with a name in the Spirit Continent.
People even gave it a nickname: the White Demon of the Fusion… uh, though its race is actually Angel!
"What kind of stupid monster is this!"
Merged with Numeron Celestial Spirit—Numeron Heaven and Earth, Zepha's eerie roar echoed through the sky once again.
"Miles, Aisha! You two actually… actually want to use such a stupid monster to fight the strongest and greatest Numeron God!"
"What nonsense dream are you having, Zepha!" Miles thrust his fist forward and shouted angrily. "The one who wins is the one qualified to be called the strongest!"
The final battle began as catastrophe and raging tides collided together.
The 100,000 Attack [Number iC1000: Numerounius Numerounia] versus the 300 Attack [Mokey Mokey].
"Battle!"
"Miles… he's serious!"
Only after the declaration of entering the Battle Phase this turn did Quaedes barely snap back to his senses and realize what had just happened.
Of course, Miles was serious.
More serious than ever before; serious about using [Mokey Mokey] to punch the strongest Numeron God flying away.
"Attack target: [Number iC1000: Numerounius Numerounia]! Take this! Raging Tides · One-Hundred-Thousand-Ton Mokey Mokey Punch!!"
Riding atop the sky-breaking tidal wave, the tofu block carried the raging power of the Xyz from [CXyz Barian Hope] and [Number C73: Abyss Supra Splash], charging toward a god tens of thousands of times larger than itself.
Even if it was tens of thousands of times larger than [Mokey Mokey] at the moment of the attack declaration, it did not matter.
As long as this raging Mokey Mokey Punch struck Numeron Celestial Spirit—Numeron Heaven and Earth, during battle damage calculation, through the inherited effect of [Number C73: Abyss Supra Splash] in the Graveyard, even 100,000 Attack could be stacked onto Mokey Mokey, producing a 100,000 Attack Mokey Mokey Punch.
Zepha—who had fused with Numeron Celestial Spirit—Numeron Heaven and Earth—also realized this severe problem.
Having obtained the strongest power, Zepha instinctively looked down on this trash monster that did not even have an effect.
Yet he also had to admit that, using Mokey Mokey as the final breakthrough point, the raging offensive created by Miles' Chaos Xyz combination had indeed posed a threat to the Numeron God at this moment.
"To deal with a trash monster like this, I actually… actually had to use the Numeron God's trump card! Unforgivable, absolutely unforgivable!"
To stop Mokey Mokey's raging charge across the waves, the moment Miles declared the attack was already Zepha's final opportunity.
"[Number iC1000: Numerounius Numerounia]'s Xyz effect activates!"
[When an opponent's monster declares an attack: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; negate that attack, and gain LP equal to that monster's ATK.]
The attack-negating effect that required detaching an Xyz Material was called the Numeron God's life-saving trump card precisely because it could only be used once.
The reason was that beneath Numeron Celestial Spirit—Numeron Heaven and Earth, only one Xyz Material was stacked: [Number C1000: Numerounius].
Such a precious defensive effect of the Numeron God, usable only once, was actually forced out by Mokey Mokey, whose Attack was merely 300 points, at the moment of attack declaration.
No wonder Zepha had become furious from embarrassment.
However, this effect could only be activated when an attack was declared. Once the real battle damage calculation began, even if Zepha wanted to activate it, it would already be too late.
"—Numeron Field · Wall of Chaos! Negate [Mokey Mokey]'s attack declaration and restore LP equal to its Attack!"
The god-forged wall that blocked everything caused Mokey Mokey, charging across the raging sea at the very top of the waves, to be smashed flat like tofu against the solid barrier.
[Mokey Mokey] attack negated
[Zepha, LP: 300 → 600]
To negate the attack declaration of a mere block of tofu and absorb that pitiful 300 Attack was an enormous humiliation for the Numeron God, who once ended the world in seven days in its final state.
Albeit everything was for the victory of the duel. Miles was absolutely right; only the one who wins deserves to be called the strongest!
"I win! Your last monster's attack has failed. Your defeat is already unavoidable, Miles, Aisha!"
Chaos monsters could not attack the Numeron God, and Mokey Mokey's attack had been negated by an effect.
If Miles could not battle [Number iC1000: Numerounius Numerounia] this turn, it would trigger the Numeron God's special victory condition.
[If this card did not battle during the opponent's turn, you win the Duel at the end of that turn.]
This was also the condition for the seven-day apocalypse that would bring the planet to its final destruction.
All that remained was to wait for Miles to declare the end of the turn, and everything would come to an end.
The sun and moon destroyed, day and night indistinguishable. The continents sinking, leaving only a sea of death. Water sources dried up, the firmament lost. Light and darkness both extinguished, returning to chaos. Disasters falling silent, the world resting. Amid joy, quiet sobbing.
Recorded within the great cathedral, the epic of world destruction seemed to be sung once again across heaven and earth.
The planet's history, the Heavenly Flame that drove the cycle of worlds, endlessly repeated between destruction and creation.
"So it still wasn't enough!" Quaedes slammed his fist against the ground in frustration.
"Even after summoning my [CXyz Barian Hope], we still can't defeat the strongest god! Damn it, we were only one step away!"
Using Mokey Mokey to attack the Numeron God looked like a foolish final showdown, yet it allowed Quaedes to glimpse that fleeting moment of victory.
For an instant, the empire's strongest emperor, Quaedes, truly believed that the tofu block riding the raging tides could deliver a god-slaying blow.
"If only I had realized the darkness in Zepha's heart earlier… perhaps none of this would have happened!"
"There is no need to regret or blame yourself, Your Majesty."
Now returned to her loli form, Viel's eyes reflected brilliantly shining stars.
"Look up at the sky.
"That is the victory that belongs to us!"
"Victory?!" Quaedes looked back toward the sky in disbelief.
At this moment, the decisive Soul Card shining between Miles' fingertips—if you have forgotten which card it is, let me remind you.
"[Number 39: Utopia Double]'s effect activates, adding the Quick-Play Spell [Double or Nothing!] to my hand!"
The [Double or Nothing!] that Miles had searched from the Deck using [Number 39: Utopia Double], but had never used until now, had finally reached the moment for a finishing blow.
"After [Mokey Mokey]'s attack is negated, I activate the Quick-Play Spell [Double or Nothing!!]!!"
[When a monster's attack is negated: Target that monster; it can make a second attack during this Battle Phase, and if it does, its ATK is doubled during the Damage Step only.]
Life does not always give a second chance; unless you create one with your own hands.
"Because of the activation of [Double or Nothing!!], Mokey Mokey can attack once again during this Battle Phase!"
The raging tides returned, forming twin tsunami cyclones that tore open the sky of catastrophe. The final victory would be decided by this extra ultimate strike.
"This punch… You cannot resist it!!"
Impossible to resist in every sense. Whether it was the one hundred thousand Attack power, or the fact that the Numeron God no longer had any Xyz Materials left to provide defense.
"Attack [Number iC1000: Numerounius Numerounia], Mokey Mokey!!"
With Miles' second attack declaration, Mokey Mokey riding atop the raging tides charged forward once again.
This time, nothing could stop this Mokey Mokey Punch… Not even a god!
"Full power release!" Miles shouted hoarsely, raising his arm as he declared.
"When Mokey Mokey battles the Numeron God, the effect of [CXyz Barian Hope], inheriting the power of [Number C73: Abyss Supra Splash] in the Graveyard, activates!"
An indescribably immense power poured entirely into the tiny tofu block.
"During the battle, [Mokey Mokey]'s Attack increases by one hundred thousand—the Attack of Numerounius Numerounia!"
[Mokey Mokey, ATK: 300 → 100300]
The One-Hundred-Thousand-Ton Mokey Mokey Punch truly erupted. At this moment, cloaked in raging tides, Mokey Mokey completely absorbed all the power of Numerounius Numerounia.
With its battle power exploding to an unprecedented degree, Mokey Mokey's tofu body also expanded infinitely within this duel of the divine realm.
Until the perfectly square giant tofu grew to a size comparable to the Numeron God that shattered the very concept of space.
Being the same size as the Numeron God meant that from every corner of the Spirit Continent, anyone who looked up at the sky could see the enormous tofu block that threw all common sense far away.
Within Fusion Academy—
Ren: "Let that thing trying to destroy the world for no reason feel your resolve! Miles, Ai-san!"
Kevin: "Have you finally become this strong? Even catastrophe itself can't stop you here. As expected of my destined rival, Miles!"
Kaima: "Hmph. If the world were destroyed like this, it would be quite troublesome for me. Since you've worked so hard, perhaps I'll give you a reward when you return."
Within Synchron Academy—
Lost and Aoyao stared with their eyes wide open at the suddenly appearing super gigantic tofu in the sky.
Facing the god trying to destroy the world, the duelist using a tofu block to fight it was someone they did not even need to guess.
"See? See!" Krista was incomparably excited that her unwavering belief had been proven correct.
"I told you it was him. It could only be him. Only Miles could fight in a way like this!"
The fighting style Krista spoke of, the one only Miles could perform, did not simply refer to using Mokey Mokey in battle.
Anyone could use Mokey Mokey to fight.
But making Mokey Mokey deliver such a world-destroying strike required conditions that were unbelievably difficult.
Within the One-Hundred-Thousand-Ton Mokey Mokey Punch gathered the bonds Miles had continuously built through countless duels.
Aisha, Dark Aisha, Sylvia, Viel, Aleister—together with the Hope Future Slash that gathered countless bonds—finally defeated the empire's strongest emperor, Quaedes.
And through that difficult duel, the new bond forged with Emperor Quaedes allowed Miles to use the Seven Emperors' Xyz [CXyz Barian Hope] and the raging tides of [Number C73: Abyss Supra Splash] in the final god-slaying battle to achieve this ultimate burst of power.
Even without personally witnessing those duels, Krista understood better than anyone that Miles' strength had always been embodied in this.
"Gathered bonds will become newborn shining stars, forming a radiant path of light! This is Miles' strongest fighting style!"
"Go, Miles!!!" ×N
No matter how near or far, as long as they were within the Spirit Continent, the cheering cries of their companions' bonds became the final support behind this world-destroying punch.
"This is the final blow! Because of the effect of the Quick-Play Spell [Double or Nothing!!], Mokey Mokey's Attack doubles once again!"
[Mokey Mokey, ATK: 100300 → 200600]
If Mokey Mokey at one hundred thousand Attack had already grown to a size comparable to the Numeron God, then the final damage calculation exceeding two hundred thousand Attack caused the tofu body of Mokey Mokey to expand again, becoming twice as large as Numerounius Numerounia.
A tofu block twice the size of the god of destruction from the mythic epic that once ended the world in seven days.
Surely Numerounius Numerounia—the god who once easily destroyed prehistoric civilizations—could never have imagined that one day, as the strongest god of destruction, it would feel the fear of being dominated by a gigantic tofu block.
"God-Slaying Explosion! Two-Hundred-Thousand-Ton Mokey Mokey Punch!!"
With a final Attack of two hundred thousand, the punch of Mokey Mokey completely crushed the strongest Numeron God, striking directly at the face that appeared on Zepha's massive dark body.
The righteous face-smashing punch of two hundred thousand Attack blasted Zepha—together with the enormous body of the Numeron God—straight into the crimson sky.
The sky of catastrophe itself split open from the force of the strike, forming a massive dimensional void that swallowed all unease and all ill omens into nothingness.
[Number iC1000: Numerounius Numerounia] destroyed
"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!"
With a final, tragic scream and a deficit of two hundred thousand Life Points, Zepha—who longed for the strongest power—was ultimately defeated by the weakest monster.
[Zepha, LP: 600 → 0]
The apocalyptic scenery faded away. Beneath the restored brilliant starry sky, every star seemed to shine in praise of the victory seized at the very last moment.
Miles and Aisha, who had defeated the empire's emperor, had now shattered even the god of world destruction from myth.
With the Millennium Puzzle and the Emperor's Key swaying together, the duelist standing beneath the starry sky at this moment truly deserved to be called the strongest.
