Chapter 235: The Reason for the Poison
Location: Far outside the village of Pokraras.
Phalen ran at high speed, rushing in the direction of the sound and the map. Fiona's location. Whoosh!
Phalen ran for a while and arrived at his destination.
Looking up at the sky, Fiona, dressed in Lanna robes, was flying in the sky and charging forward. Her face looked fresh, like she had just taken a bath.
Phew!
Hobby flew in mid-air. A fire skull the size of a house opened its mouth, spewing flames that burned enemies into roast meat. Phew!
Red flames shot forward, showing no signs of stopping. Whoosh!
Fiona flew in close range. Fiona's right green bird-shaped foot appeared, kicking forward. Boom!
A bird-foot imprint shot out to meet the attack. Boom!
Fiona tilted her head slightly. "It's right here."
The sword in Fiona's hand shone with a green light and slashed towards the center, marking the bird's foot. Whoosh! Boom!
The bird's foot was split in half, and flames shot through the center, like cutting through flesh.
The blade was incredibly sharp. Whoosh!
Hope channeled energy into the blade, slashing forward. Whoosh! Boom!
A wave of flames the size of a tree shot out, adding to the flames. Whoosh! Boom!
The explosion created a powerful wind that sent objects flying.
Hope looked to his left, and a young woman smiled with delight.
"The red string of fate, never broken."
It was Fiona who spoke, the energy tightly packed in the blade.
Fiona attacked with lightning speed. Whoosh!
Hob threw a punch, striking the blade, unable to defend. Whoosh! Boom!
Fiona's sword was stopped by a powerful punch. Boom!
Fiona looked shocked, thinking she'd seen a ghost, and then returned to her usual fun.
"So strong. Deservedly so. Having lived so long, there must be something good about her. But, your hand, the boaster, is severed?"
Fiona's sword formed another blade and cut off Hob's hand. Boom!
Hobo was stunned. Hob's left hand was severed, and red blood spurted out.
The wound looked like it had been split in half by a blade.
The fiery red skull behind Hob exploded in a huge fireball, destroying the surrounding area. Boom!
Fiona dove back. Whoosh!
Boom!
A huge red flame. The surrounding area gradually engulfed the area, making it impossible to see Hope, who was inside the red flames. Boom!
Fiona floated down to the ground, relieved. Thud!
Her eyes reflected the image of a large flame.
Phalen watched the battle and shouted to Fiona.
"Fiona, I'm here to help as promised. Do you want me to help you?"
Fiona turned in the direction of the voice, her face filled with sadness.
"What? I thought it was going to be a two-on-one situation."
Fiona jumped up to stand next to Phalen. Whoosh! Boom!
"Then why are you here?"
Phalen looked at the flames, where Hope was walking out.
Hope's left hand was still missing.
"I'm here to help you. What now? Do you want me to help you fight?"
Fiona reached out and touched Phalen's shoulder. "I appreciate your concern. Don't worry.
Our bond will last forever. This is my best friend.
Fiona smiled slightly.
Phalen slapped Fiona's hand away. "I'm older than you. Call me senpai."
Fiona laughed. "Hahahaha, don't worry. I've surpassed age and become my best friend. This is the red string of best friends."
Fiona looked back.
"Alright, then, I'll go finish this so I can finally go home. I'm exhausted already."
Phalen stood there, looking back. "Are you sure you want to go alone?"
Fiona looked at the sword in her hand, which was glowing green.
"Of course. The number one in Tenshin didn't rely solely on luck to become number one..."
Hobe's face was filled with anger. Blood was gushing from his left hand.
The large sword in his hand turned towards Fiona. "That bastard! He's been hunting me since there, all the way to here." Your efforts are quite impressive.
Fiona floated upwards, bit by bit. "The red thread of blood binds us together.
Remember, what would it be like to be enemies of the Tenshin School?"
Hopes took a deep breath. Red flames erupted, with a heat so intense that the trees beneath their feet were melting bit by bit.
The immense pressure, along with the fiery red skull, was thrusting into Hob's sword. Fuu!
The large sword was pressed so tightly that the blade was breaking bit by bit.
Fiona, who had floated toward them, smiled fearlessly.
"Did you know? Our Tenshin school is known for its powerful attacks. Do you know what it means?"
Phalen answered Fiona's question. "The Tenshin school specializes in creating a powerful attack called scissors.
It's a direct cut, so anything that enters the scissors will be cut in half."
Fiona charged. Pewwww!
"That's right. The Tenshin school's secret technique is like this."
Fiona swung her sword through the air. Whoosh! Boom!
A pair of large, sharp, and large green scissors, the size of a house, appeared, flying towards her. Whoosh!
Hobe swung his sword. He swung it down. Whoosh!
BOOM!
The green scissors were stopped.
Hob sneered. "Hahaha, this is a Tenshin School technique attack? That's pathetic! Hahahahaha!"
Fiona looked slightly shocked. "Sorry, the second cut. Begin!" Boom!
The scissors split Hob's red flame into two pieces. Boom!
The red flame was divided, and a straight-shooting operation was performed. Whoosh!
Hobo opened his mouth wide. A beam of green light split Hob's body in half, revealing his bones and internal organs, beautifully separated. Boom!
Hobo's face was shocked, and both bodies fell through the air.
The flames disappeared, and Fiona, confident in her own strength, floated in mid-air.
"With such abilities, you're trying to cause trouble for the Tenshin School. You don't even understand their abilities!"
Fiona flew to a stop. Right in front of Hope. Thud!
"But, why are you so concerned about me? I'm so sinful. I could steal the heart of a woman right in front of me."
Phalen sighed lazily. "They're so concerned. Why did you write that in your letter?"
Fiona looked at the person with suspicion, her fear evident.
"Don't tell me you secretly opened it and read it. How cruel. I intended to write it, and you did something like that."
"So what?"
Fiona raised her hand in confusion. "I'm just saying that I poisoned myself and the person who died over there.
I have to get rid of that person to neutralize the poison. It might take a long time. I'm poisoned, and you've been made aware of your location.
So, that's why I said it. The Red String of Destiny is like this."
Phalen was a little confused. "Were you poisoned by that person?"
Fiona shook her head in denial. "No, not by that person." But I did it myself.
Phalen was a little puzzled. "I have one question. Why did you poison yourself?"
Fiona reached out to hug Phalen. "What's so difficult about it? My master said that the worse the situation gets, when the time comes, you should push your limits.
The more dangerous it is, the stronger you become, because your life is at stake.
That's why I risked my life. This is the secret to my strength."
Phalen was stunned by the answer. It wasn't the enemy's poison, but rather the self-inflicted poison.
