After bidding farewell to the elderly Steve, Clark came to Peggy Carter's window. If Clark hadn't known that there was an old Steve outside as well, judging by Peggy Carter's current expression, he might truly have thought she was extremely excited to see Steve again.

But after seeing the elderly Steve, Clark now knew that Peggy Carter's husband—who had never appeared before—was actually Captain America. So whenever Clark saw the interaction between Peggy Carter and Steve, he couldn't help feeling a bit awkward.

Knock knock knock.

Unable to endure it any longer, Clark raised his hand and knocked on Peggy Carter's window. Seeing the shock on Steve's face when he noticed him, Clark thought to himself: I'm helping you, you know.

After realizing that it was Clark knocking on the window, Steve said a few words to Peggy Carter, then walked over and opened it.

"Clark? Why are you here?" Steve asked, looking at him outside the window, wondering if he had just coincidentally run into him.

"Why? Didn't Nick Fury tell you?"

Seeing the confused look on Steve's face, Clark couldn't help asking.

"I forgot to bring my phone when I went out today."

Steve said he forgot his phone, but in reality, he had deliberately left it at home. Although he wasn't very skilled with electronic devices, he still knew that his phone was monitored by S.H.I.E.L.D. After all, for someone like him—an old relic who had slept for decades—monitoring Steve was understandable.

But since he was coming to see Peggy Carter today, Steve deliberately left his phone behind. He didn't want anyone to know he was meeting her. If word got out that Captain America was meeting the founder of S.H.I.E.L.D., who knew what kind of trouble it might cause?

So before leaving, Steve intentionally didn't bring his phone.

"Alright. Nick Fury said that Dr. Erik has calculated the convergence point of the Nine Realms—it's in Greenwich, London. It has already begun appearing in the sky above Greenwich."

"He had a vision, so he asked me to bring you along. Is now a good time?"

Clark glanced at Steve and Peggy Carter lying on the bed.

"Go downstairs and wait for me. I'll be right there."

After saying that, Steve closed the window.

Watching the window close, Clark smiled and walked toward the front door. Not long after, he saw Steve open the door and come out.

"How about meeting her again after more than seventy years?"

Clark casually opened a portal to Greenwich and asked with a smile.

Having seen the movies, Clark knew that Steve truly began to integrate into modern society only after meeting Peggy Carter again.

After seeing Peggy grow old, marry, and have children—eventually becoming about the same age as him—Steve finally let go of his guilt toward her and began facing his own life. All of this started when Steve reunited with Peggy Carter. This could even be seen in how Peggy later tried to communicate with Sharon Carter.

Unfortunately, Steve's luck wasn't great. Just as he tried to start living again, he encountered the HYDRA uprising within S.H.I.E.L.D., then faced the Winter Soldier. After that, he was drawn into the conspiracy behind S.H.I.E.L.D.'s collapse and was ultimately forced to destroy it.

But Clark knew that it was precisely S.H.I.E.L.D.'s downfall that made the Avengers so powerful. After S.H.I.E.L.D. collapsed, most of its high-ranking agents were recruited by Tony into Stark Industries.

After all, if they didn't join Stark Industries, many former S.H.I.E.L.D. agents would have been hunted, monitored, or even imprisoned by the military.

Only after recruiting these elite former S.H.I.E.L.D. agents did Tony's Avengers truly get on track. Many previously understaffed departments finally found suitable personnel—among the most valuable of them was former Deputy Director Maria Hill.

Only then did Clark realize that his thoughts had gone too far. The plot of Thor: The Dark World had only just begun; Captain America: The Winter Soldier was still more than half a year away.

Then again, maybe not. After all, with Clark's involvement, all kinds of romantic entanglements were now emerging.

Things were slightly different.

For example, in Thor 2, Steve did meet Peggy Carter, and he seemed to know that Sharon was Peggy's niece. Clark didn't know whether, under these circumstances, Steve could still get along smoothly with Sharon Carter. If he could—well, why not?

Thinking about it, Clark felt this storyline could be quite interesting.

"I opened my eyes wide. After seeing that she was doing well, although there was an indescribable feeling in my heart, I suddenly felt relieved."

After passing through the portal and arriving in Greenwich, Steve summarized his feelings in one word: relief.

"Relax. Honestly, I've always felt that you're a bit behind the times. Not because the era advanced beyond what you could accept, but because you were unwilling to融入 it."

In truth, no matter the era, the principle is the same—just live your life well.

"Oh right, they should all be at Greenwich University now—it's not far from here. I'll go take a look."

After saying this, Clark patted Steve on the shoulder and flew alone toward Greenwich University.

Clark went by himself without bringing Steve, for a simple reason: he had never been to Greenwich University before, so he couldn't open a portal directly to it. And taking Steve by flight wasn't convenient either—after all, the image of two men hugging while flying was too beautiful for Clark to imagine.

But in reality, the distance from where Clark opened the portal to Greenwich wasn't far at all. Even if Steve ran, he could reach it in ten minutes.
