After bidding farewell to the elderly Steve, Clark came to Peggy Carter's window. If Clark hadn't known that there was an old Steve outside as well, judging by Peggy Carter's current expression, he might truly have thought she was extremely excited to see Steve again.

Clark casually opened a portal to Greenwich and asked with a smile.
Having seen the movies, Clark knew that Steve truly began to integrate into modern society only after meeting Peggy Carter again.
