Chapter 68 - Hatred 3.

He inadvertently remembered the memories he had begun to forget. Back then, when his team abandoned him because they were simply afraid of the pain, of the tearing of flesh, of the pain of betrayal - it flared up brightly in his head, it was so vivid, it felt like it had happened yesterday. If it hadn't been for Albert and the captain, he would have remained in the dungeon forever.

And after all that, they even dared to apologize to him, which only angered him more. But what angered Rein the most were their words after the change. But he decided not to show these feelings and simply smiled and looked the captain in the eye.

"I haven't held a grudge against them for a long time, captain."

Of course, he didn't believe him, he had known Rein for a long time and could read him like an open book. But he decided to simply ignore it. After all, a lot connects this team, but the strongest feeling is hatred for the weak, and especially for those who can only run away.

"Alright, let's go to the guild quickly, we still need to manage to exchange the magic stones to get a spot at the 'Hostess of Fertility'."

After they exchanged the magic stones, Albert went to the 'Hostess of Fertility' alone. After they received the money, he didn't manage to say anything as they all scattered in different directions.

"I'll remember this!" he shouted to himself, perfectly understanding that he would forget it in a second.

Dungeon.

Rein and his team are climbing upwards, they spent the whole day there. His body is so tired, every cell is begging for rest. But even so, he was in a good mood. After all, for the first time in a long life he was so lucky that a rather rare item dropped for him. Imagining how much he could get from it, he involuntarily smiled.

"Hey, Rein, why so happy?"

"As if you don't know."

"So what, some pathetic item dropped. If I had killed him, something better would have dropped for me."

"Just admit that you're jealous of me."

"Me? Yeah, who would ever be jealous of you? Now, about me… I'm so wonderful."

"Weren't you the one caught peeking at the girls in the hot springs when we were there last time?"

"Found something to remember. And what I saw then was so captivating that I have no regrets."

"Enough!!! Someone is approaching, be ready."

"Captain, it's only the eighth floor. Why worry so much?"

The captain narrowed his eyes at Albert, who immediately fell silent from his gaze. After all, their captain was very serious, which was very rare.

"What's happening?" Rein thought, taking out his bow and preparing to defend his life. He had only seen his captain like this twice. The captain's skill was very unique and at the same time useless - he could see hatred, but he couldn't know who it was directed at. This skill is of no use in the dungeon, because every monster hates absolutely everything it sees. But his thoughts were interrupted by the captain.

"He's close… get ready… it's… an adventurer."

Casting a look of incomprehension at the captain, how could he know if it was a human or not, they didn't have to wait long as a person approached them at a rapid pace from around the corner. A human, they realized.

"Shoot!"

The captain shouted, but Rein unhesitatingly drew his bow and fired.

"Damn."

No matter how hard Rein tried, he couldn't hit this adventurer, as if he saw right through him.

"Use magic, Rein!"

"Yes."

He started drawing the bowstring again, but now he started filling it with magic to give the arrow more speed. Seeing the captain push the kid away, he nodded his head slightly, giving him a sign, and he released the bowstring. His eyes widened slightly as the adventurer began to dodge his arrow without even seeing it.

But even so, he didn't have enough speed, and his shoulder was pierced through.

"Kh… kh… kh."

Falling to his knees, he coughed up blood.

"I exceeded my limits."

He whispered, seeing the captain and Albert start to approach the adventurer. He smiled, he began to feel his consciousness slowly fading away. He knew they would win, because they always won.

"Captain! Rein lost consciousness."

"Don't get distracted, Albert, they'll be fine."

Ting.

Deflecting the blow of the unknown adventurer's sword.

That was the last thing Rein heard before falling completely asleep.

"Heheh, you messed with the wrong guys."

Striking from top to bottom on the adventurer's back, looking him in the face expecting to see suffering, but only saw hatred, which surprised Albert. Looking into the adventurer's eyes, he felt his body covered in a cold sweat.

"Ah!?"

This moment of hesitation became Albert's biggest mistake. The adventurer took advantage of this mistake and launched an attack. In the last seconds, he came to his senses and started to move to the side, but a sharp pain in his shoulder told him that he couldn't dodge completely. But he wasn't scared by the pain, he had long gotten used to it, but what scared Albert the most was that he couldn't feel his hand, no matter how hard he tried, there was only pain.

Looking down at the place where his hand should be, he saw only emptiness. From such a sight, he froze in horror, unable to move, he couldn't believe what was happening.

"ALBERT!!!"

Ting.

Deflecting the adventurer's blow aimed at Albert's head. Rage took over his mind, no matter how hard he tried to calm down, but the flying hand of Albert was remembered in his head. The more he thought about it, the more he lost control.

"Albert!"

Ting

"Albert!"

Ting.

No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't get through to him, which caused more rage. His attacks became more and more reckless until it turned into a simple waving of the sword.

"HAND!!! MY HAND!!!"

Hearing his cries, the captain completely lost control. His whole mind was filled with anger and hatred for the adventurer standing in front of him. Due to the loss of control, many holes for attack appeared in his stance, which his opponent took advantage of, attacking from left to right, tearing his chest.

"Argh."

The sharp pain helped him come to his senses, jumping away from his opponent, he wanted to regroup and get what he had saved for such cases.

Ting.

But no one was going to leave him alone so easily. Not having time to do anything, he pounced on him like a mad beast.

"Argh."

"Die, you bastard!!!"

Making a lunge towards his opponent, he smiled when he felt his sword pass through him. But the smile quickly faded when he could no longer move his sword.

"Ah!?"

Seeing this adventurer holding his sword in place with his hands, without hesitation he reached for the magic sword and launched an attack from top to bottom.

Dodged? But not completely.

A smile reappeared on his face, he rushed towards him to finish him once and for all, but, surprisingly, this adventurer also rushed towards him, as if these wounds were like mosquito bites to him. But even so, he sees that he has slowed down.

"No matter how much you pretend that you don't care, your body says otherwise."

He rushed forward with confidence that he would win. As his attacks became more and more successful, but even so he didn't relax, because if the cut wasn't deep enough, he could stop the blood.

His first thought was that it was some kind of magic. But the more the adventurer's body was covered in wounds, the more he understood that it was not magic, but only mastery of his body. Every time he makes a cut, he tries to close it with his muscles.

His eyes widened with understanding - after all, he looks very young, but he already masters his body at an ideal level. But no matter how well he masters his body, he saw that he was getting slower every second.

"It's the end!!!"
