The hammer spinning strike + the Longsword Spirit Roundslash + the Sword and Shield Cyclone Slash + the Dual Blades' demon mode + the soaring slash.
Originally, Sherwin had named this move Blade Storm...
Although the name had changed later, its power hadn't diminished—in fact, it had only grown stronger.
After all, Sherwin strength now was far beyond what it had been when he first created this technique.
With the Kuja tribe barely adequate Haki, they couldn't block it at all. The luckier ones only had their weapons knocked away or were pushed back, while the less fortunate ones ended up taking a couple of strikes directly.
"Slave Arrow!"
Boa Hancock, seeing her subordinates about to be crushed, quickly conjured a pink heart, then transformed it into a massive arrow and shot it toward Sherwin.
Still spinning, Sherwin had no time to dodge. He stomped hard on the deck, halting himself abruptly.
Using the leftover momentum, he twisted his upper body and swung the Longsword toward the incoming heart-shaped arrow.
Armament Haki + Charged Slash + Spirit Release + Heaven-soaring Cat Flash...
Monster Hunter Style · Cyclone!
The Longsword, wrapped in Haki, clashed with the Slave Arrow. After a brief stalemate, the strike split the massive arrow in two.
The divided arrow whizzed past Sherwin sides, slamming into the mast and cabin of the Perfume Snake, turning parts of them into stone.
"Whew… thanks to Klee Meow blessing. Luckily, my Armament Haki was strong enough."
Sherwin let out a breath of relief. For a moment, he had feared his Longsword would end up like Yubashiri in the original story—turned to stone and then shattered.
Though he had already planned to switch back to the Longsword White Nagi in the future, Longyue had been with him for so long that he couldn't help but feel reluctant to see it ruined.
Seeing that even Hancock Slave Arrow failed to take Sherwin down, Boa Sandersonia—who had been knocked back with the others earlier but hadn't been injured—suddenly coiled up her massive snake body, then launched herself toward the Felynes who were watching the battle from the Dodo Forward.
"Leave this to me! Lady Klee, your bombs aren't convenient to use at a time like this, meow."
"Klee, don't move, meow!"
Seijuro Meow and Haibara Meow spoke at the same time, stopping the little doll who had already pulled out a bomb.
What a joke—at this close range between the two ships, if Klee Meow really let loose, their newly upgraded ship would have to be sent back to Water 7 for repairs again.
Seijuro Meow pushed off with his feet, leaping toward Sandersonia. As he flew through the air, dazzling lightning sparks crackled around his body.
"Flying Cat Sword Style · Chidori Spear, meow!"
Sherwin: "…"
This quiet little black cat has gone bad too, huh…
While grumbling in his heart, Sherwin also wondered whether he should teach Seijuro Meow about Thunder Breathing.
"Waaah!"
Seijuro Meow lightning-charged thrust not only successfully intercepted Sandersonia, but also pierced a bloody hole straight into her body.
The massive snake woman let out a scream as she toppled into the sea, and immediately several Kuja Pirates dove into the water to rescue her.
Sherwin didn't stop them. Instead, he turned his head toward Boa Hancock.
"So, what do you think? Do you still want to fight?"
Although Boa Hancock usually liked to look down on others with her nose in the air, she wasn't the type to recklessly throw everything away just for the sake of her pride.
In truth, a part of her arrogance was actually a form of self-defense… somewhat similar to how Haibara Meow had been when she was first summoned.
So, after glancing at her badly injured subordinates beside her, she reluctantly bit her silver teeth and admitted defeat with unwillingness in her tone:
"Go then. This time, I'll concede!"
Oh? From the way Snake Princess said it, she still sounded a little unconvinced, huh?
Sherwin raised an eyebrow. He had originally thought about turning things around and robbing her just to make her face reality. But then he caught sight of the pitiful, aggrieved look on the Empress face…
And Sherwin very unheroically softened.
Tch! I'm just in a hurry to summon new Felynes, not because I'm swayed by beauty!
Unable to bring himself to strike, Sherwin gave himself that excuse in his heart, then leapt off the Perfume Snake and back onto the Dodo Forward.
"Sherwin-nii is the best, meow! Seijuro-nii is amazing too, meow!"
(=`=)
Klee Meow immediately pounced on him, rubbing her fluffy little head all over his body.
"Aren't we turning them in for bounty, meow? These pirates should be pretty strong, right?" Sanji Meow asked in confusion.
"Ahem… the captain of the Kuja Pirates is one of the Warlords of the Sea I told you about before. They can't be exchanged for bounty." Sherwin answered a little guiltily…
No, why should I feel guilty? It not like I was lying!
The Hunter, who had originally been a bit uncertain, suddenly straightened up with confidence.
Especially since the Beautiful big sister Felyne also chimed in from the side:
"Besides, the Seven Warlords of the Sea belong to the World Government forces. For now, it better if we don't clash with them, meow."
Mm, with that, Sherwin became even more confident.
The little ragdoll squirming in his arms suddenly lifted her head and looked at Sherwin with doubt…
ω
Sherwin-nii mood swings are so strange.
Noticing Klee Meow gaze, Sherwin quickly changed the subject:
"Klee, go steer the ship to a secluded place. We might be getting a new companion."
"Really, meow?! Klee will go steer the ship right away, meow!"
The innocent little ragdoll was once again fooled by the cunning Hunter. She immediately leapt from Sherwin arms and dashed off toward the stern.
As the flame thrusters at the back of the ship roared to life, the Dodo Forward cut through the waves, swiftly circling past the Perfume Snake and speeding into the distance.
Boa Hancock face darkened as she watched the Dodo Forward sail away. She coldly ordered her subordinates:
"Go gather information on that man just now! Deceiving me will not be something so easily forgiven!"
Far away, Sherwin naturally had no idea that the Pirate Empress had set her sights on him. Even if he knew, he wouldn't really care. In fact, he might even feel a tiny bit pleased.
But right now, the most important thing was still the matter of summoning a new Felyne.
After circling past the Perfume Snake, Sherwin had already taken out the Hunter Manual. Unlike the time with the Sandai Kitetsu, the manual didn't act difficult or refuse him—it behaved obediently this time, completing the third white shard for Sherwin.
But…
Sherwin had just seen two giant serpents, along with the snake, panther, and hawk kept by the Pirate Empress three sisters, not to mention the snake bows wielded by the other Amazon Lily warriors. And yet, the manual only gave him a single shard for all of that…
As expected, this lousy manual was as stingy as ever!
"Sherwin-nii, is this place good, meow? Those bad big sisters' ship is already out of sight, meow!"
Klee Meow leapt onto Sherwin back with a flying pounce, breaking his string of complaints.
Sherwin glanced around. Aside from the endless expanse of ocean, there wasn't even a single reef nearby…
"This'll do! This spot is just fine!"
Each Felyne had its own unique way of appearing, so Sherwin wanted to try summoning in a completely open place like this.
If this new one arrived in the same way as the Beautiful big sister Felyne, then he'd be able to score another Angler Submarine.
On top of that, Sherwin wanted to test whether it had merely been coincidence that he'd summoned the Beautiful big sister Felyne—who just so happened to be skilled in navigation—back on the Conomi Islands where Nami lived.
Though, if he tried summoning here in the Calm Belt, there was a high chance it would end up connected to the Empress somehow…
Wonder Felyne Woman Diana?
Or maybe Empress Wu Zetian Meow?
Surely it couldn't be something like the Daughter Kingdom Queen of Twin Swallow Butterflies, could it?
Muttering to himself, Sherwin pulled out a Summoning Ticket and prepared to call forth the new companion.
"Wait, meow!"
Sanji Meow suddenly spoke up, interrupting Sherwin action. He darted over, snatched the Summoning Ticket right out of Sherwin hand, and raised it high into the air…
"Come forth, Beautiful big sister Felyne, meow!"
After doing all that, Sanji Meow quickly shoved the Summoning Ticket back into Sherwin hand and urged him:
"Hurry up and summon, meow! Don't forget to wish for a Beautiful big sister Felyne, meow!"
Only then did Sherwin realize—Sanji Meow was copying the exact steps he'd done before summoning the Beautiful big sister Felyne…
As expected of you, you little lecherous cat!
Sherwin gave Sanji Meow a helpless sideways glance, but still decided to play along.
After all, when he summoned Haibara Meow, he hadn't gone along with Sanji Meow antics.
And besides, he himself had just recently fallen victim to a beauty trap, so at this moment he was in a very forgiving mood toward Sanji Meow.
So Sherwin recalled the scene from before, lifted the Summoning Ticket, and softly murmured:
"Send me a Beautiful big sister Felyne."
