Chapter 401 - 401 Felyne Investigation Team!

When Morgans had a big scoop, his ability to act was extremely strong.

Moreover, with a Vivre Card pointing the way, and with the World Economy News Paper reporters and contacts spread across the entire sea, it was not difficult to pinpoint Sherwin and the other location.

So Sherwin had only finished a phone call with Morgans in the morning, and by the afternoon, he arrived—riding in a small hot-air balloon pulled by a flock of News Birds…

Speaking of which, the headquarters of the World Economy News Paper could also move around in a similar way. Was this some kind of personal hobby of Morgans?

Before the hot-air balloon had fully landed, a large white albatross wearing a black top hat and draped in a black cloak jumped down from it, landing on the deck of the Dodo Advance.

Right after that, two human men holding cameras jumped down in a panic.

"President! Wait for us!"

The younger reporter shouted loudly as he jumped down.

"News won't wait for anyone!" Morgans declared a very on-brand "motto," then laughed heartily as he walked toward Sherwin.

"Hahahahaha! Sherwin! We finally meet in person!"

"Welcome aboard our ship, President," Sherwin greeted him with a smile.

"Wow! It Uncle Morgans, meow!"

(=`=)

The little ragdoll cat bounced and scampered over in front of him, waving her tiny paws.

"Hahaha! Of course I recognize you, little Klee Meow!" Morgan smile widened even more.

He bent down and scooped the little ragdoll into his arms, then glanced around at the various cats on the ship.

"Honestly, I'm a bit jealous of you, Sherwin. Getting to be around so many adorable furred folks every day."

At last, his gaze landed on Shirahoshi, whose presence was overwhelming just by virtue of her size alone…

"This must be Princess Shirahoshi, right? What an adorable and strong child!"

"Y-you're too kind! Mr. Morgans! Thank you for everything you've done for the Fish-Man race!"

Knowing that the man before her had always been helping to publicize the Fish-Man race, Shirahoshi felt deeply grateful.

The little princess excitedly bowed to him, her eyes gradually filling with tears, as if she might start crying at any moment.

"To be able to help such a lovely princess is my honor!" Morgans removed his top hat and returned the bow to Shirahoshi.

His words instantly made Sherwin, who had already been a little suspicious, become alert.

After carefully observing for a while, Morgan behavior still seemed fairly normal, and he did not show any improper thoughts toward Shirahoshi as she was now…

Thankfully, this birdman wasn't that perverted after all.

Only then did Sherwin relax, and he proceeded to introduce the rest of the cats to Morgans as well.

After some brief pleasantries, Sherwin pulled Morgans and the two reporters along to sample Sanji Meow cooking, and only then did they begin the exclusive interview.

Since they were essentially on the same side, the interview went very smoothly.

Moreover, Morgans was already quite familiar with the investigation team, so he skipped many unnecessary questions.

Most of the interview time was spent focused on Shirahoshi.

Perhaps it was simply fate that Morgans was destined to look at Shirahoshi differently, but after hearing her story in person, he cried so miserably that it was hard to watch…

"Don't worry! I will definitely do my utmost to publicize matters concerning the Fish-Man race!" Morgans promised solemnly.

Because of this, he even declined Sherwin invitation to stay for dinner. Once the interview ended, he was ready to leave with his people… and the two reporters following him were visibly disappointed.

However, before departing, Morgans handed three items to Sherwin: a Vivre Card, a permanent Log Pose, and an invitation.

The Vivre Card was naturally Morgan, while both the permanent Log Pose and the invitation were related to Big Mom.

"This is a Log Pose to Totto Land and an invitation to Big Mom tea party," Morgans explained.

"I'm just responsible for passing them along. Whether you go or not is up to you."

Once again, when there is a big scoop, Morgan ability to take action is extremely strong.

In just a single night, by the next day an introduction to the entire Felyne Investigation Team had already flown to every corner of the world along with the latest issue of the World Economy News Paper.

However, this issue only gave a brief introduction to the members aboard the investigation team ship, and did not go into detail about Shirahoshi.

Because reporting on Shirahoshi at this time would only cause the cats to compete with one another for attention and distract readers, it was better to first introduce the members of the investigation team, letting everyone know that there was also a mermaid princess under Sherwin command.

Once readers had a preliminary understanding of the team members and began to grow curious about why the mermaid princess was staying by Sherwin side, Morgans would then proceed with the next stage of his reporting.

"Meowhahahahaha! Big Brother Sherwin, look! We're all in the newspaper, meow!"

(=`=)

The little ragdoll held up the latest newspaper and jumped into Sherwin arms, pointing at her own photo on it while proudly shaking her little head.

In the photo, Klee Meow was tilting her head, placing one small paw against the side of her face in a waving gesture, looking just like an adorably cute beckoning cat.

Beside the photo was Klee Meow introduction—

"The Escaping Sun" Klee, Logia-type Flame-Flame Fruit ability user, illustrator of the Travel Guide series, third chef of the Felyne Sea Mobile Restaurant…

Of course, aside from Klee Meow, the other cats all had similar introductions, and they naturally all used the nicknames provided by Sherwin.

There was no need to say much about Huamei Meow and Xiaer Meow, as they directly used their prototype nicknames.

Nico Robin had long possessed the title "Devil Child," while Shirahoshi simply used her own "job title" — "Mermaid Princess."

However, Sherwin made slight adjustments to the nicknames of Sanji Meow and Jinx to make them more fitting for cats.

"Black Leg" was changed to "Black Paw," while "Rampaging Loli" was changed to "Rampaging Blue Cat."

Actually, at the very beginning Sherwin had wanted to use the name "Boom-Boom," but Jinx felt that it sounded far too lacking in presence, so she rejected it outright.

As for Ibuki Suika, her original title of "The Tiny Hyakki Yagyō" was not very suitable as a nickname, so Sherwin simply used the prototype of her prototype, "Shuten Dōji," as her nickname.

Link had many titles as well, but whether it was "The Sleeping Hero" or "Hyrule Number One (Old) First-Rate (Rogue) Swordsman," none of them felt quite right.

After asking Link Meow for his opinion and taking into account the circumstances under which he had been summoned, Sherwin settled on "Skyward Sword" as his nickname.

Seijuro Meow nickname was not "Cat Swordsman" as Sherwin had once said when dealing with Klee Meow. Instead, out of sheer mischievous intent, he gave him the name "Black Knight"…

The little black cat, having no idea what was special about the title, was quite satisfied with it, and thus smoothly claimed Anakin Skywalker nickname for himself.

As for what to do if they really did happen to summon the original someday, they could always use a more orthodox translation like "Dark Lord."

What truly gave Sherwin a headache instead were the two research cats, Purah Meow and Haibara Meow.

Originally, Haibara Meow could still have used "Sherry," but not long ago that name had been taken by that "axolotl."

Sherwin had wanted to use "Doraemon," but unfortunately Haibara Meow refused—and even clawed Sherwin face in the process.

When Sherwin asked what kind of nickname she wanted, that little mischievous kitten only came up with infuriating titles like "the master of the idiot Sherwin."

After a round of back-and-forth roughhousing, and being suppressed by Seijuro, Sherwin simply decided to follow Seijuro Meow example and use other character nicknames for Haibara Meow instead.

In the end, Haibara Meow personally chose "Cat Brain," borrowed from Eirin Yagokoro, because the little milk kitten felt that this nickname better showed off her clever little head that was "far smarter than that idiot Sherwin."

With Haibara Meow line of thinking as a reference, Purah Meow nickname was easy to settle as well.

On top of that, Purah was not as picky as that troublesome kitten Haibara Meow, so her nickname was decided very quickly.

Sherwin simply carried the Touhou joke all the way through and gave little Purah the nickname "Puppeteer"…

After all, the guardians made by Purah Meow could also be regarded as autonomous dolls with AI that was not exactly sharp.
