Chapter 7 - 7

Then came a quiet period, which I spent studying. I sometimes wandered around the school, trying to find all the secret passages, of which there were many. Hermione began to sit next to me more and more often in class.

If things were going to go that way, I wanted a beautiful girl by my side. I began to perform subtle magical manipulations on her appearance. Every day she began to look better and better. Her teeth gradually straightened, her hair became smooth and manageable.

What else happened? There was a Quidditch game, which I missed with a clear conscience, moving home to Lily.

"Mum, I'm home," I said when I appeared in the hall. Lily came out of the kitchen, clearly worried about something. "Did something happen?"

"Yes, I was in Hogsmeade trying to find the house and I found it, but Professor Dumbledore came. He wants me to be Snape's assistant at school.

"That's all?

"He tried to use Legilimency on me, and then poison me with a potion...

The last bit made me cringe.

"How did you find out?" I managed to ask.

"The artefacts in your workshop, you let me take them. I didn't leave the house without a pair of protective amulets.

"Do you know what kind of potion it is?" Lily tensed, left for a moment, and returned, handing me a flask with a drink.

I reached out, noticing that her hand was covered in black scales and claws had grown. I couldn't help myself again.

I took the flask and, under my mother's frightened gaze, drank the potion. It had no effect on me, so I calmly ate the refreshments offered by the director.

I began to analyse what kind of potion was in the drink. Hmm, tea with a hint of frozen peplozmey eggs, marjoram and yarrow... I don't need to continue, it's a love potion. It's not hard to figure out who they were trying to charm. Why would the headmaster want my mother to fall in love with Snape?

"A love potion, definitely aimed at Snape.

"And what next?

"The headmaster did something that could hurt someone close to me, so I've got nothing to lose and I don't care about anything. The old rule has always been that the strong rule.

"I wanted to say something else... I'm against this... You're my son, and this isn't right.

Hearing this, I felt my soul cover itself in ice, and a void began to form in my chest.

"I understand you and... I'm sorry, but... How complicated you all are! People!" - My hopes have been dashed. I can't stand another man being with her! But she can't live alone, sooner or later she'll fall in love and I'll have to hurt her by killing that poor guy! I turn around and leave the hall, I need to cool down... Why do I feel like I've been betrayed?

Pov Lily Potter

I've been thinking a lot about what my son offered me... Maybe it's normal for him, but not for me. Yes, I admit, I'm attracted to him! But it's wrong! Remembering his words about what he would do to the man who would be with me, I became even more upset. From the memories he showed me several years ago, I knew that he was capable of devouring a person's soul. What should I do?

Finally, I decided to leave our cosy little house in the mountains and move to Hogsmeade. It wasn't difficult to find a vacant house away from the crowds. Before returning home, I stopped at the Boar's Head Inn. I began to remember how I used to come here with James when we were at school. How stupid I was then, and probably still am...

"Lily, do you mind if I sit down next to you?" A calm and kind voice pulled me out of my memories. Looking back, I saw Dumbledore. Just think, everyone trusts him, and I used to trust him too, before the Dark Lord arrived, with the headmaster standing behind him, watching as they tried to kill us.

"Pour us some tea, please," he said to the innkeeper, sitting down opposite me. I remained silent.

"Lily, I couldn't find you and Aldwin. What if the Dark Lord's minions find you? I won't be able to help you..." It was funny to hear him say that.

"I can't tell you where we live now, but I want to buy a house in Hogsmeade, so that's why I came here." I felt the amulet that Alduin had once created begin to heat up and then burn. My temples began to tingle, a sign of a failed attempt to penetrate the mind... Legilimency?

Dumbledore gave no indication that he was doing anything or trying to do anything. He just sat there, thinking.

"That's good... Do you remember Severus? I wanted to ask you to help him teach the children. I remember you were an excellent potions maker. It shouldn't be a problem. From Hogsmeade, you can easily go to Hogwarts and see your son. He is very talented, special, you might say. The school even created a new department for him.

I smiled. He really is special.

Our tea was finally brought to us. I took it and brought it to my lips, and the amulet heated up again, preventing me from opening my mouth, indicating the presence of a potion in the drink. I pretended to take a sip and replied to the headmaster.

"I'll think about it.

Dumbledore just smiled, nodded, and left without saying a word.

I discreetly created a flask and poured the drink into it. I would have to find out what was in it.

At home, I went into my son's laboratory and began to check what was in the tea, but to no avail. All the reactions were negative. The only thing that was strange and apparently not completely disguised was a pleasant smell of honey, blood and soot. Everything swam before my eyes and my body was overcome with heat.

A week passed, during which I thought about what to do next after what had happened. I couldn't answer these questions; I had to wait for my son...

"Mum, I'm home," I heard from the hall. I hurried to meet Aldi. "Did something happen?"

He was attentive as always, and just one look told him that something was wrong.

"Yes, I was in Hogsmeade, trying to find the house, and I found it, but Professor Dumbledore came. He wants me to be Snape's assistant at school.

Then I told him everything else. When he drank the tea with the potion, I was scared, but then I remembered about the complete immunity. As it turned out, the headmaster wanted to bring me together with Severus, but why?

"I wanted to say something else... I'm against it... You're my son and it would be wrong," I said, thinking it best not to delay.

In an instant, I felt the cold, longing and loneliness emanating from Alduin, which I could physically feel. The scales on his hands, which he had not removed, fell to the floor like ice crystals, and he looked down at the floor and spoke.

"I understand you, and... I'm sorry, but... How complicated you are! People are so complicated!

Alduin turned and walked out of the house into the street. I felt, to put it mildly, awful. Did I... did I hurt him? The thought plunged me into icy water. I could feel myself beginning to despise myself.

A couple of minutes later, I went outside. Alduin was sitting on the steps, looking at the snow-capped mountains rising in the distance above the forest. The landscape was actually calming and helped me stop thinking about unnecessary things.

I sat down next to Alduin and hugged him. Kissing his head, I breathed in his scent. Honey, blood, and the smell of soot from the fire. Hmm, does amortentia smell different to everyone? Depending on what a person loves? Yes, I love my son, but what kind of love is it?

"What are you doing?" I heard a pleasant, commanding and strong voice.

Coming to my senses, I caught myself nibbling Alduin's ear, holding him too close to me. I could hug him like this before, but that was in a dream!

"I... I... I don't know. Alduin, maybe we..." He didn't let me finish, kissing me sharply and silencing me. In shock, I didn't notice his nimble tongue entering my mouth, intertwining and playing with mine. After a few seconds, the kiss was interrupted, leaving me to catch my breath.

"Alduin, I don't..." And again, a kiss, I felt his tongue become thinner but longer, splitting at the end. So flexible, strong and long, I melted with pleasure, a veil of fog covered my mind, I just enjoyed it.

"Next time, I'll act like a true dragon, just take what's mine, without regard for anyone else, knowing that it will be better that way," Alduin said after we were able to tear ourselves away from each other.

He stood up, smiled at me, filling me with warmth and making me blush. He turned the ring and disappeared into thin air.

"You are mine, and I love you. The whole world cannot stop me, or else this world will cease to exist." Those were the last words I heard before he disappeared...

End of Lily Potter's POV

It's not as bad as I thought at first. Human girls are difficult, they think too much.

I returned to school when it was already getting dark. After going to the hall for dinner, I returned to my room.

That night, as usual, I decided to take a walk around the school. I had no problems with Filch, thanks to my "invisible assistant" illusion. After walking around for a couple of hours and passing by the office, I noticed a strange energy coming from it, and alarm spells at the entrance. The doors were ajar, as if inviting me in... Well, if they're inviting me, I'll go in.

Entering the office, I triggered the alarm spells. There was a full-length mirror in the office. The inscription on the mirror said that it did not show reflections, but a person's secret desires. Looking into it, I froze, unable to take my eyes off it. I felt tears streaming from my eyes.

In the mirror was my reflection. Behind me stood many people, but their faces were blurred. But I managed to make out a few faces, the ones closest to me. I recognised them as my mothers. Magic, Death, Destiny and Lily. They looked at me with love and pride. They stood behind me, knowing that I could always protect them, and were ready to support me if necessary. I smiled in my reflection and, you could say, basked in the love of the people around me.

There I was, turning into a dragon in the reflection and roaring, shouting about creating my pack, about creating a real family.

"I see that you, like many others, have discovered the charms of the mirror of desires..." said an elderly voice behind me. Let's not drag this out. Dumbledore had gone too far by opening his mouth to Lily.

I turn around, not letting him say another word, and simply lift the headmaster with telekinesis, clamping his throat. He was startled at first, but then began to reach for his wand. Another wave of my hand with the ring, and Dumbledore is crucified in the air.

"You know what I saw there, headmaster? My pack. You tried to take part of my family. Now you can't do anything bad, and I'll get the answers to my questions." The old man croaked something, glaring at me angrily. A couple of flashes bounce off my clothes, indicating the reflection of spells. Few in this world are capable of such powerful, spell-less magic.

"Amik-Ha-In!" I called out to Tu'um, meaning "Service of the mind to the master." Dumbledore fell to the ground and within seconds was on his knees, bowing at my feet.

"Master, I will do anything! Just tell me!" - said the "Great Light Wizard" to me.

"Tomorrow I will come to you, and we will talk, but now get out of here before I kill you.

Dumbledore hurried away, and I sat down on the floor and looked again at the mirror, where were those I could call my family.
