# Chloe's POV#
The morning sun reflects off Gabriel's car as he steps out, and I have to blink twice to make sure I'm seeing correctly. The sleek lines of the Aston Martin gleam like liquid mercury in the construction site's dusty parking area.
"Holy shit," I whisper under my breath.
"Language, Mrs. Lancaster," Mia teases, but her voice carries the same awe I'm feeling.
Gabriel approaches us with that same confident stride from yesterday, but today he's wearing a charcoal gray suit that probably costs more than most people's monthly salary. His smile is brilliant white against his tanned skin.
"Ladies," he says, nodding to both of us. "Thank you for agreeing to meet with me today."
"Is that your car?" The question slips out before I can stop myself.
His smile widens. "The Aston Martin DB12? Yes. A little indulgence I allowed myself after closing a particularly lucrative project last month."
