Chapter 291 - 291

The battlefield which was moments ago echoing with steel and shouts, fell eerily silent as dust trembled across the ground.

"I–I'm telling you there was no hill there when we first came here!" one soldier stammered, clutching his spear so tightly his knuckles went white.

"You fool, you're blind! I swear on my ancestors that hill just moved! It's coming closer—look!" another screamed, pointing with a shaking hand.

A third scout stumbled forward, face drained of all color. "R-report! The hill… the hill is approaching us!"

A ripple of panic spread through the ranks. Men craned their necks, eyes wide as they watched the enormous Saberfang beasts stride into view, their silhouettes blotting out the rising sun like living mountains.

Atop the lead beast sat a young woman with flowing hair, her presence regal and terrifying, smiling as though she had come for nothing more than a stroll.
