Time in the Spectator Plaza seemed to dilate.

The sun moved lazily across the simulated sky, but the frenetic energy in the coliseum never dipped. Match after match, teams of two materialized in the sandy pits, clashed with the ferocity of wild animals, and then vanished into pixels to make room for the next pair.

Kael stood at the railing, his chin resting on his golden gauntlets, watching the chaos unfold below.

In Sector A, a team of Second Year Retainers—Team "Grave-Walkers"—was dismantling a pair of First Year prodigies.

The Retainers moved like a single organism. One was a towering Knight with a tower shield, his Intent clearly focused on Obstruction. He didn't attack; he just existed in the way, blocking lines of sight, absorbing spells, and turning himself into a mobile wall.
