Chapter 6 - She is mine now

Hidden Location. Surveillance Lab.

A high-tech room filled with softly humming machines, flickering screens, and shadows that seem alive. A powerful man — unseen by the world — is searching for something… or someone.

---

Narrative Scene

Dozens of female profiles flicked across the massive LED screen.

Names. Faces. Histories.

But none of them were enough.

The man leaned back in his leather chair, fingers drumming slowly on the polished steel desk. His assistant stood quietly nearby, anxious.

"We've pulled over 300 identities," the assistant said. "Top-tier doctors. Models. Athletes. We've used every channel. Still… you're not satisfied."

The man didn't answer. Just stared at the screen with cold detachment.

Then, the assistant hesitated. "There is one more file, sir. We weren't supposed to access it. It was buried beneath multi-layer encryption. Someone had gone to great lengths to hide it. But… we decrypted it."

The man raised an eyebrow.

"Show me."

A new profile loaded.

---

Name: Dr. Mahi Shaikh

Age: 26

Specialization: Trauma & Cardiology

Hospital: Care & Love International

Clear academic record. No media presence. Single. Compassionate reputation.

Classified past: Under watchlist clearance.

Protected File: Flagged by private encryption (likely government source).

---

A photo popped up.

Not posed. Just Mahi in her scrubs, slightly tired, brushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear, unaware she was being photographed.

And yet — something about her face stilled the room.

Warmth. Intelligence. Quiet strength. Something rare. Something real.

The man stood up slowly.

Walked toward the screen.

Her eyes… weren't like the others. They didn't beg for attention.

They dared you to earn it.

He stared. Unblinking.

Then whispered:

"Mahi Shaikh…"

The name rolled off his tongue like a challenge.

"She's not ordinary," he said.

"No, sir," the assistant said. "She's... protected. Someone's hiding her."

A slow smile crept across his lips.

"Of course they are. Because even they know she's not meant for this world."

He tapped the screen.

"I want her. No matter who stands in the way."

The assistant gulped. "Even if it's—?"

"Anyone." His voice turned to ice. "Even if it's Ahaan Shaikh himself."

He stared at Mahi's photo again. Not with affection. But with possession.

"She's mine now."
