Each character sees fractured versions of themselves:

Auren and Nerina find a world where they never met — both lifeless.
They reach the Eclipse Gate — a monolith of bone and obsidian, inscribed in ancient vow-marks.
Kael touches the stone. A voice answers:
> "Three vows bound the world: Love. Memory. Shadow. All are broken. One remains… sealed."

Inside the Gate's temple, a spectral version of Kael's father, Lord Ardyn Riven, appears.
"You were never meant to survive the Crown," Ardyn says.
Kael steps forward. "Then why did you bind me to it?"
Ardyn turns to Elira. "Because she was always the key. Not your weapon — your anchor."
Elira's birthright is revealed — not just a Witness, but a Vowbearer — one who could forge new pacts with the world's essence.
But her power is incomplete — the final Vow was stolen during her birth… by Lucien.

Lyra's eyes glisten. "You'll lose everything unless she gives it willingly."
Elira steps forward. "Then take my answer — no."

Lyra, now the Eclipsed Queen, summons a weapon made from the shattered vows — a blade called Nihilveil.
Battle erupts.

Auren and Nerina face off against wraiths made from their own regrets.
The fight is brutal, emotionally charged, and filled with broken promises turned to power.
Kael's blade, Solmourn, falters. Lyra presses the advantage.
"You never really let me go," she hisses.
Kael looks to Elira — eyes burning with truth. "I did. When I chose her."
That moment of clarity cracks Lyra's form — the false Vow inside her begins to unravel.
