With Peter's technical prowess, making the nano-suit undetectable by radar would have been a simple task.
However, time was limited. He hadn't yet added an anti-radar coating to the suit, which was why the military's radar managed to detect them.
But that was fine. Every new suit needed real-world testing—combat was the best way to sharpen its edge.
Peter welcomed the opportunity to evaluate the suit's performance under real pressure, using the military itself as a proving ground.
He was eager to see just how far his nano-suit could go in actual combat so that he could make targeted upgrades later.
At a military air force base, inside the large information dispatch room, Colonel Roddy stood grimly in front of a radar display, watching two light blips flicker on the screen."What exactly are these? Missiles? Aircraft?" he asked."We can't confirm yet, sir. Based on the flight path, it appears to be some sort of aircraft.""What kind of aircraft can be that small and still hit Mach 2? Immediately establish radio contact and demand identification.""We tried, but the targets didn't respond. They'll enter our no-fly zone in 30 seconds. What are your orders, sir?""Do we have any patrol F-22s in the vicinity?""Yes, two F-22s are currently on patrol, 50 kilometers out.""Then order them to intercept. If the targets enter restricted airspace, you're authorized to open fire immediately. Also, initiate the emergency air defense protocol. If these two dare to breach our airspace, they must never leave it.""Understood!"As Colonel Roddy issued his command, the two patrolling F-22 fighters turned sharply and accelerated toward Peter and Felicia."Ten seconds until entry into restricted airspace. Countdown: 10… 9… 8… 7… 6… 5… 4… 3… 2… 1… Target has entered military restricted airspace.""Warning: Enemy fire-control radar has locked on. Air defense system activated. Fire coverage incoming in three seconds. Energy shield activating."Electronic voices rang in Peter and Felicia's ears as the radar lock warnings sounded. Seconds later, they saw a storm of anti-aircraft shells heading their way."Boss, what should we do? That's a crazy amount of fire! Are we gonna get shot down?" Felicia asked, her tone laced with nerves.Despite it being her first real flight, she kept calm enough to ask Peter for instructions—a testament to her strong mentality."Don't worry. 9S will handle it," Peter replied confidently, trusting the advanced artificial intelligence he had developed.Right on cue, the voice of 9S, the AI, spoke again:"Energy shield activated. Enemy projectile analysis complete. Activating auto-evasion protocol."In the next instant, Peter and Felicia's suits began evasive maneuvers on their own. The movements were smooth and fluid, perfectly evading the barrage of anti-aircraft fire.
Under Peter's guidance, 9S even hacked into the air force base's internal network.
Within moments, a giant middle finger emoji appeared on the central control screen of the base—an act that nearly drove the command staff to the edge.
With their systems compromised, the base couldn't launch another round of attacks.
All they could do was watch helplessly as Peter and Felicia flew through the no-fly zone and soared away without a scratch.
Colonel Roddy clenched his fists in frustration."Have the F-22 fighters arrived?" he demanded."Yes, sir. They're in position.""Then order them to open fire. I want those two unidentified objects taken down immediately!""Order sent!"Back in the skies, while the military team reeled from the hack, Felicia was practically buzzing with excitement."Hahaha! That was insane, Boss! My first time taking on the military—and we won! That feeling was unreal!""Take it easy. This is just the beginning. You'll get used to this kind of thing," Peter said calmly."Yeah, I guess you're right. If their air defense system couldn't even touch our nano-suits, wait until we upgrade them. We'll walk all over them next time!""Exactly. So don't get too excited yet. This was just a warm-up."Just then, 9S's voice cut in again, more urgent this time:"Warning: Two F-22 fighters approaching from the rear. Fire-control radar is active and has locked on."Peter's expression darkened."Persistent bastards," he muttered. "Alright, let's see who's faster. Increase flight speed—get us out of their targeting range!""Unable to escape lock-on range in time," 9S replied."Damn. F-22s really are fast. Then let's see who's better at dodging. Prepare for close-quarters maneuvering.""Warning: Two Sidewinder missiles launched. They're closing in rapidly!""Deploy flares!" Peter shouted without hesitation.In response, the nano-suit's shoulder compartments ejected thumb-sized flares, which streaked toward the oncoming missiles.
A moment later, the flares intercepted the missiles, causing them to detonate prematurely in midair.
BOOM!!
The explosions echoed across the skies, loud enough to be heard even from the base below."What the hell just happened? Why did the missiles explode mid-flight?" Colonel Roddy asked, eyes scanning the sky.With the base's network still paralyzed, visual observation was all they had.
Because Peter's flares were so small and agile, they were nearly invisible from the ground.
To the soldiers below, it looked as though the missiles had simply self-destructed."They used flares, sir! The enemy deployed flares to detonate the missiles!" came the pilot's voice over the radio."What flares? We didn't see a thing! What in God's name are we dealing with?" Roddy asked, bewildered."Reporting, sir… it's people. Two people!""What? Are you kidding me?!" Roddy's eyes widened in disbelief."Negative, sir. Confirmed. Two humanoid figures in black suits."Just then, a satellite feed came through from the fighter's cockpit.
It showed two human silhouettes, clad in sleek black suits, flying at supersonic speeds.
Colonel Roddy stared at the footage in stunned silence."What in the world…"Peter and Felicia, meanwhile, continued to fly through the sky at incredible speed, safe and untouched.
They had not only dodged state-of-the-art missiles but also humiliated an entire military base.
Felicia, still high on adrenaline, laughed."Boss, we're seriously unstoppable. And that satellite hack? That was savage!"Peter gave a small smirk."Next time, we'll show them what the upgraded version of this suit can do."
